  1. Past hour
  2. The meeting just about summed up the Redcar season, promised much but disappointed. The โ€˜guest track curator โ€˜ got the track wrong, too much loose stuff resulting in Doyle not lasting one bend. Track blading required meaning delays on a cold damp night and not much overtaking to talk about. Not very entertaining. Swales got his good crowd but a few drifted away, surprised to see Charles Wright in the crowd . Thought young Southwick was the surprise rider, Lawson should have been the winner but thats the result of second chance finals and Kemp took it. Heres to a Redcar revamp in 2027.
  3. Yesterday
  4. As Leicester will be looking for a new rising star in 2027 on tonightโ€™s and previous performances I think Jordy Loftus may be an option as does seem to ride the Leicester track well and with another strong Australian influence in the team could be a good environment for him to develop further . As Jen alluded to after the meeting there is some very exciting news coming in a couple of weeks at Leicester which will show commitment to the sport
  5. Solid looking team so far, especially around Shielfield. Morris, Battye, Kemp, Jenkins and Etheridge leaves 7.77 for 2 riders (assuming 40 total and that my maths is right). Leaves options along the lines of: Palovaara and a 2 pointer; Or Dayle Wood and Hodder/Foord; Or Mitchell Cluff and Sam Hagon/a 4.00 newcomer.
  6. A dominant team doesn't mean a "poor season"... In fact, in most sports, it means a team that when they visit you want to take them down.. And are something to aspire to, and not just match, but move ahead of... The main issue is that for at least a decade, and probably more, as the top league dwindled, and teams even chose to drop out of it to ride in tier two, winning it has little prestige... Six teams? Seven teams? Who cares when usually one, and sometimes two, are completely out of their depth... This years title, last years title, and several going back to Covid and beyond, have very little value or kudos the way they are won, and the minimal reward they generate...
  7. Assume it 40 point limit again Sure Berwick finished about 1.5 or around that over so never going to fit in an over 8 guy if say palovaara back Even at that it looks like a 2 point at 7
  8. All this bollocks about being favourites, read this thread last couple of pages nobody was putting Belle Vue top!

  11. Tbf he also thinks it is 2927 next year, so there is no hope! Interesting that Oxford going for top heavy and Berwick more strength in depth. Though not sure how much is left for final 2.
  12. At least you've put it on the correct thread Dicks put it on last seasons thread.
  13. The quote from Howe :- "I was in the pits watching it on the screen and was pretty confident that Zach Cook may have left the track" ... Well that obviously left the the SCB no choice then. A 'definitely maybe' is clearly a FACT! Let's just shut up & move on now. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Apparently according to the Star, 2 referees with over 20 years experience supported Carrington's conclusion and how could they not? To exclude Cook we need to see evidence that the outer edge of his back wheel was over the inner edge of the white line. In the view from the outside, the back wheel is obscured by Pickering. The view from the back only shows the inside of the wheel, with the white line obscured. We've seen no image to show that the outside of the wheel was over the inside of the line. The SCB statement is therefore a farce, unless they have evidence that wasn't available to the referee.
  14. Must be that Poole didn't want him then!
