Flint and Battye were the stars of the meeting. Really impressed with Battye especially I said at p+p he looked the real deal. Not sure what Bombers issue was but he looked less than average tonight which was most strange. Exciting season ahead at Berwick I think, with a team that should be capable of away wins aswell. -

Ht11 looked a very good gate from Morris off the smooth gate 1, exceptionally good. Other than that we were worked hard and beaten by the better team. An interesting season ahead. -

Berwick deserved the win and I don't think they will lose at home. For Glasgow to get the bonus with only 3 riders performing, was a feat in itself. Bomber had probably his worst meeting in a long time. Jury is out on Mario, not sure how much time he will be given. Leon , Kevin and Kyle were the main stay and deserve applaud. Disappointed with Freddie and Sam, thought they would have done better. Reid Battye take a bow, he was exceptional, r/r strengthened the bandits. They look like play off contenders this season. -
Say it how it is, donโt see the problem with that.

In my younger years I could travel by public transport to Wimbledon, West Ham, Hackney, Romford, Wembley, Rye House, New Cross, Crayford and White City for Speedway while Wimbledon, West Ham, Walthamstow, Crayford, White City, Rye House, New Cross, Harringay and for two meetings Wembley ran Stock Cars, Hot Rods and Bangers. That means oval racing happened at eleven different stadiums in London and everyone of them now lies under a housing estate or a shopping centre except for Rye House that is just derelict. To see Speedway I have to go to either Poole or Smallbrook but the last train to get back to London now leaves around 9pm while before COVID there were connections from services that left around 10.15pm. Result is I have not been to a speedway meeting since COVID. In the case of four wheel action the only tracks I can get to by public are Aldershot and Yarmouth. Aldershot requires a 30 minute walk from the station to the stadium which I do around six times a season. Yarmouth is just about possible but only in the case of afternoon meetings which are rare. The result of the loss of stadiums and transport options is that I have gone from seeing racing once or twice a week to once a month during the summer for Stock Cars and none at all for Speedway which make me very sad indeed.

Did he get a pre-loved gown for winning rider of the night? ๐ -
It should also be remembered that stock cars and bangers have also featured at Abbey Stadium for many years but the asset strippers sold the pit area for redevelopment meaning that another income source for the stadium was lost.

Fair assessment but itโs very early days for all teams letโs see how it unfolds over the coming weeks. We are still in a very strong position in the group and letโs be honest this trophy is just a warm up to blow away the cobwebs. Not taking anything away from Berwick who weโre the better team tonight and deserved the win , whilst we stumbled over the line for the bonus point mainly thanks to Leon Flint. -
Mine was fine-ish, the screen was occasionally going black for a split second, but I watched it this evening and not live. Android TV using TVBro browser

So far Glasgow have got results with Harris and Howarth scoring 13/14 each which has kept them in meetings by carrying others. One of them has an off night like tonight and theyโll struggle, might be different if one of the reserves step up more or the wee German improves a bit on recent showings so far. -

Young Ryan Ingram is progressing very quickly, well done the Scorps for spotting his potential and signing him early. -
It's sport and anything can happen (sometimes ๐) that's why we all follow it. I'm not one for making predictions as you can often end up with egg on your face and it's all a bit pointless imo, I much prefer to comment on what has happened. I was expecting a hiding at Sheffield last Thursday and unbelievably we came away with an 8 point win, it only takes 1 "decent" rider to have an off night, or the track to be not quite the "usual" and that can have a massive effect on the final result.
