  1. Past hour
  2. It seems there is some sort of protest at the Zeilona gora v grudiadz match on Sunday, a section of falubaz fans are boycotting the match and grudiadz fans have agreed to boycott it too in solidarity, from what I understand it’s about ticket prices being the most expensive and also fans wanted to add something to the stand and the club took it away,I assume this is the section of fans that stand in the middle of the first corner
  3. Think we're going to struggle big time in this one, I think Scotty Nicholls will struggle to score a point against any member of Belle Vue's 1-5, Always struggled around the NSS apart from one meeting and that was a good few years ago as well. Lawson's not a fan either so I think the Aces could put up 60 here.
  4. Barely anyone would watch it tbh. Only a handful of members on here watch the Polish Leagues whilst interacting with other fans on this thread.
  5. If there was a track that scunny were going to actually do play at it would be Worky with it being the closest in shape to the Eddie wright raceway. Normal services to be resumed anywhere else in the UK. 😂
  6. Today
  7. Just because a few people say one thing doesn't mean everyone else agrees - there's always a bell curve of views and opinions on most results. If you choose to be annoyed at some of those, so be it. I think your style of reply is no better than people you claim are "keyboard warriors" - which is a remarkably tired old phrase. In the early days of the internet, those of us who dared to question the BSPA were tarred with all sorts of epithets. What a shame they didn't make use of all the ideas and energy on offer. I don't expect the Witches to win on Monday, so anything over 40 will be good score as far as I'm concerned. Anything from 45 upwards would be a pleasant bonus. It won't change my life any more than watching my life-long team win cups and leagues has done over the last 50+ seasons.
  8. A minor gripe but yet another track who doesn’t mow their centre green before being live on the TV/stream. Such an easy way to make the place look much neater and tidier.
  9. Happens every season with the KOC. Even this year it's easy to explain, teams finishing 2nd & 3rd of the group get "knocked out" of the competition!
  10. Living in Brighton, not really a track near me now. I went to Kent a few times last season and sponsor Vinnie Foord so when he gets back on a bike I will go and watch/help him out.
  11. I will this season, like last, attend more meetings overseas than in the UK... Why? Because I love watching Speedway... But love watching it more when (pardon the pun), something is "riding" on the outcome.. If the UK could deliver the same level of jeopardy, consequence and prestige in victory that other countries, and organisations do, then I would attend more in the UK... The sport now is very much followed by the die hards who will happily go along and collude with their promoters that the meeting is relevant and great to attend... Sadly, many, many more thousands than those who currently still go, don't agree with that outlook and have drifted away from attending regularly, but, crucially, haven't lost touch and still follow the sport... Given little is spent on attracting "newbies", through national marketing, getting those who still follow the sport back attending regularly really is the key to success... I am amazed no market research gets done so as to ascertain the thoughts of the regular fans and those who have lapsed... ie Why do you go? Why don't you go? Etc. etc.. There are dozens of fans Facebook pages that have current regulars and non regulars on them, which could be perfect to use .. When any business receives feedback, both good and bad, it can then make changes to the top reasons why the bad feedback was provided.. UK Speedway would benefit enormously from this...
  12. I rarely go anymore, I go to more to have a blast round than watch nowadays but it’s because I’ve got no track locally to me, the West Midlands was the center of British speedway and still has a huge fan base from wolves and even cradley but sadly now it has nothing and sadly this is the case for the majority of fans, they simply have no track to call home, I think more to the point is of those who still have a home track do they go ?
  13. It was always taxed as an entertainment, which is why it should be compared to the cinema on price
  14. Fromafar

    Motogp

Unbelievable action in all races at WSB today.
  15. We should do a poll on this forum asking how many on this forum actually go week in and week out supporting their club, I bet not as many as people think. And before people even think about talking about our tracks and quality, it’s the same people who moan about Polish tracks too. Maybe it’s because we are a nation full or moaners and negativity and instead of always having something bad to say… just get your arse to the nearest track and support your club.
  16. I think jack has to be showing he can improve and at least up his average to what he originally joined on. Can’t be too hard on Reid until he has a few home matches under his belt but he needs to be proving he is worth the 4 point spend or it negates Morris’s bargain average. I think it will be closer than last night but as you say we will need some stand out performances to take the win.
  17. There's not enough bandwidth for the forum to cover that off!... The three 3rd tier meetings in Poland last week had crowds over 3,500 with 5,000 the highest.. Germany had nearly 5,000 for their international meeting on the 5th of April.. Vastervik in Sweden averaged over 4,200 last season with the league just under a 3,000 average.. As you say, "where are we going wrong?"..
  18. Surely the only people saying that 'speedway at the Abbey was financially unviable' were Osborne (the stadium owner - who also ran the greyhounds) and the previous speedway promotion of Russell and Park. Maybe there was some sort of financial incentive (brown envelope?) offered to Russell/Park to say that speedway was unviable at the Abbey. And surely it would only become 'unviable' because of the exorbitant rent and stadium costs charged to the speedway promotion by the owner (Osborne)?! Pure supposition on my part of course....!😉 NB, Hasn't Rosco declared he would be in a position to front a new consortium with financial backing, for the Robins to continue at the Abbey - assuming of course that the running costs (stadium charges etc) were of an acceptable level?!
  19. Can see a Tigers win unless one of our reserves has a very good night.
