This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. No previews up yet from either club but thought I’d get a thread up and running. Going to feel a bit strange post the Louis era and also not hearing Kevin Long on the mic, but I’m looking forward to a meeting. Any result is possible here! Home win, away win or draw. I’ll sit on the fence and go 45-45.
  3. Lawson wins. Good to see Richard not affected from last night.
  4. You don’t have to wait until Monday night, there are fixtures from last season everyone can watch for free right now, which will be the same system and allow you to try things out. As has been communicated there are various options, and also this webpage https://guide.britishspeedwaynetwork.co.uk which gives a step by step guide of the other ways to connect. If you still have problems email the BSN support, but best to check now. The new website allows a lot of new features including live pause and rewind, and will cope with future advances as well.
  5. What is your problem. I guess that you haven't got a team to support anymore so therefore you feel the need to take a swipe at Poole.
  6. Can't remember, but I'd agree that any team who races every home meeting on one particular track will naturally have a home advantage, stands to reason. You could argue that teams who stick with riders for multiple seasons might build up more of it but everyone has at least some, and as you say the quality of the line up has much more to do with it.
  7. Completely agree. Just a racing incident and no malice intended from either rider.
  8. Birmingham because they had a completely new team in 2024 & 2025 and there's so few meetings these days can you really say that they're is a home track advantage? There will be for your stalwarts Bewley, Kurtz, Holders etc.
  9. Big crowd tonight for Plymouth, which is good to see. A damp night but track looks ok. Hope they don’t hang about and need to get on with it.
  10. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2025-rider-statistics/ Looking at the home and away split, I’d definitely say Birmingham had home track advantage.
  11. Think it was Rob Lyon wasn’t it Bagpuss? Could have been one of the others I’m not sure Edit: Actually think it was when he was discussing Ipswich’ chances and Musielak being key to us doing well. Mentioned him being on a cheap average partly due to riding at Birmingham with “no home track advantage”.
  12. You'll have to remind me of the context of that comment, although I'm pretty sure I didn't say it 😁
  13. I don't think he 'slagged' anyone, was a light hearted dig. Interesting though that he talked about a 'numbers game' (which is what I originally thought once Fricke was in the frame) whereas Lynn say he never wanted to be back. Both could of course be true at various points in the winter, as we know riders set out for the best deal they can get and play clubs off against eachother, and clubs can change their minds on their 1-7 if riders become available. Adds a little spice to the East Anglian derbies if nothing else.
  14. I don’t buy that argument at all. They would all have practiced and done many laps at Birmingham. Northampton not so for obvious reasons but that’s an anomaly and a unique case. Why didn’t Birmingham have any home advantage? I heard that nonsense earlier on that kings Lynn podcast and don’t believe a word of it Every track has an element of home track advantage. They had a poor record because they were quite frankly rubbish.
  15. Yes, 1 tac-sub per team, I assume it's the same for the non-knockout league and play offs What about a team with no home advantage like Birmingham for the last couple of years (completely new teams) and Northamptoningham this year?
  16. Is that the case, I wonder? From the context of Barker's post it seems that it might not be. Whatever, the change seems to have been poorly communicated and the fault seems to lie more with the SCB than with BSPL but ti might prove to be problematic for non-ACU licence holders.
  17. Obviously you were not there or watching the stream of the meeting judging by your comments. Lawson was on the outside of Thomson so how he stuffed him into the fence is impossible. you do talk uninformed guff.
  18. I watched the stream as a neutral and it looked a 50/50 to me. No malice whatsoever by either rider
  19. Well done Berwick. They didn’t have to do that. We all moan about stuff from time to time. But this and the winter YouTube meetings have been very welcome so let’s give credit where it’s due.
  20. Totally agree and this has always been a bugbear of mine. There’s enough home advantage as it is and a home team should never be allowed to use a tactical.
  21. Today
  22. Nice words from him about the new management at Ipswich though. He hasn’t been the first to compliment them either. Actions speak louder than words obviously but it’s encouraging all the same from an Ipswich perspective.
  23. With tonight's meeting off, thanks to the Berwick Speedway YouTube channel you can enjoy the Berwick v Edinburgh match from 2022. Meeting start at 7.
  24. From what I understand in this saga is the new insurance doesn’t cover loss of earnings like the old system did although it was no where near enough it was something and that has now changed to a system that is more suited to someone like a motox or trails rider,I would estimate that 95% of ACU licence holders over all sports don’t have their chosen sport as their job where as speedway 95% does
