A farmer should be telling the Police that there's only a small window when a field can be fertilised, unfortunately these people decided to trespass on the land when that window was open. -

PErhaps they thought it needed tarmacing or perhaps a new flatroof for the burger van ?? -
That's why the sport needs 100" s of young kids in attendance every week.. And not sure that will happen on a Monday night in particular... Young kids bring, in the main, young adults.. Hence, tracks should fight tooth and nail to get young kids into the stadium... Even if all kids for free.... The bigger the crowd, the less inhibited people are, which means more atmosphere created.. Plenty of 60 somethings attend football, (due to the costs the elder age group make up a fair portion of the crowds), however, mine, and their behavior at Old Trafford surrounded by 74,000 is certainly different than at the NSS, where I am surrounded by just a few programme filling people.... Last nights meeting at Lublin was remarkable, however, if only 1200 were there to watch it, with hardly any away fans, it would have been as unremarkable as many UK meetings become with a similar standard of racing...

But.... the Speedway updates site has been going since 2005... The technology has advanced since then, agreed, but still the "powers that be" have only decided now to have their own updates page, that's all I'm saying. -
Absolutely correct as I believe it should. Only ex riders in the referees box.

Personally think two things killed Cardiff it never seemed to get good crowds post covid and the year Bewley one it the track was terrible/a disgrace that was in my opinion the final nail in the coffin.

I believe Scott told the local media he wasn’t happy with his set up, hence the practice afterwards.

Believe his phone was unavailable last night. The land is being pushed for development under the Workington Town Deal and is included in a Council prospectus . Recently Contractor Thomas Armstrong fenced a portion of said land off which is currently being remediated . I didn't understand why they didn't fence up to the boundary shown in the prospectus . If they had the travellers may not have found it so attractive. -

1970's or 2020's?
RoundTheBoards replied to Hamish McRaker's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Back in those days, bonus points were included in the Green Sheet Averages. This made a huge difference to averages. (remember there are on average 10 extra bonus points in a 15 heat match). Also then, matches were 13 heats so the top riders likely met only once in a meeting. Nowadays with 15 heats including a nominated, top riders will meet at least twice. And with the 4 top riders all meeting in heat 15, someone is going to finish with a zero and take a big dent on their average. In the 70s, a top rider would go into every race with a reasonable expectataion of finishing second at worst. Also back then, leagues had 16 - 18 teams. They met only once all year. Nowadays with fewer teams and fewer riders, teams meet more often, so top riders clash more often. If was also quite common to turn up on a Saturday night in the 70s to find Peter Collins isn't riding tonight or Ivan Mauger isn't riding, because they had a lucrative Grasstrack meeting in Germany on Sunday afternoon. So riders might even miss their only league head-to-head of the entire season. (with no internet. no one knew they were missing until they'd paid their money, and no one seemed bothered). With just one bike strapped to the back of a car, no lower end rider had the equipment to challenge a top rider who may have a workshop at the track. If you want closer racing with a more level playing field, and riders meeting more often, then the current day is for you. If you want a few top stars for publicity purposes with the top stars artificially inflated to appear more dominant than they are, then the 70s are for you.- 1 reply

Kevin and Jan where at the .meeting and had a good time. Now heading back South. Fans made us very welcome. Thanks. Poole should more than cover the 2 points at home. Hopefully the ever improving Frazer returns soon.☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️ -
I didn’t see him after the meeting. 6 races for the juniors and x2 times Scott Nichols came out to practice and that was it.
