  1. Past hour
  2. He's ridden at 2 for the Lions all season until his injury anyway.
  3. I enjoyed my first visit to Northside very impressed by the overall set up, one look at the track you can see its designed to give riders the opportunity to race so without a doubt that will provide some great racing, the conditions being hot, dry, and with that stiff breeze that was blowing made it very difficult for the track staff. Its does also seem to have the capacity to be developed further as the club progresses, reminded me a bit of Somerset and how that developed. I will certainly be back, at first it looked like the Monarchs were going to win at a canter but Comets made a great fight back to take the last heat decider. A great day out except for the 45 mins delay on the M6 for an accident and a 1 hour delay on the A66 where i believe the air ambulance was called out, but it didnt spoil the day, congratulations to all that brought the Comets back with this facility.
  4. Pity he gave up with a shake of the head after 3 :3/4 laps after being passed.
  5. Today
  6. It was to see if his broken leg would knit together by the time he got back to the pits. Forever thoughtful in Glasgow.
  7. Enjoyed tonight's racing, Harris, Howarth and Nagel finding speed pretty much everywhere. Such a shame for Max, he looked to winding up for a pass when he got sent flying, but the referee box was in the way from my view in the grandstand. Amazed he got up. Making him walk all the way to the pits felt a bit much though...🤣
  8. Hts 9-13 a total disaster after a really strong start. A meeting Edinburgh should definitely have won. Anyway, that aside - Jonatan, Paco and Jordy were really good. Kye had his moments but the others meh. First visit to Northside and was hugely impressed. Perfectly set up and so good to see a purpose built speedway venue. Hopefully the locals continue to support it - I’ll definitely be back. Free entry for the kids, sticker at the gate and a free post race ice cream means my two went home very happy!
  9. After you regained consciousness you could sometimes speak a language you weren't fluent in before. Like what happened to Matej Kus back in 2007..... Apologies for sharing a Daily Mail article
  10. Some really good racing from Masters and the reserves, but Oxford's middle order were torn apart, as expected. Not quite top of the league, but we must feel confident we can top it come the end of the fixtures.
  11. They still had top level racing in the extraleage and yes they probably did lose some sponsorship but imo they are just not as good a rider as zmarzlik on a consistent basis, good enough to be in the GPs but not really title contenders, laguta’s win for me was always going to be a one off, he is fast when he is in the mood and average when he isn’t and imo sayfutinow was never going to win as much as he is a hard technical rider and as much as I want them in the series I don’t think they would be serious challengers
  12. ben barker had a big crash last night and was taken to hospital as far as i know same heat they also lost joe thompson and klindt was riding for plymouth last night
  13. Maybe 4 years of missing out on racing at the top level (and missing out on the extra sponsorship) would have something to do with your point. Jack Holder and Dan Bewley got into the championship when they were kicked out.
  14. Great racetrack if your good enough you can make a pass.Harris is a joy to watch round Ashfield makes it look so easy and effortless.Always some decent heats.
  15. They did but stopped well before DSc took over the rights? Why? Could it be the same reason that DSc are unable to host round in Australia? The cost of arrangibg a round in Australia or South America is very high compared to lets say the German GP. Everyone and everything will have to be transported by airplane and/or by ship, and someone will have to pay for it (it won't be Dsc). This leaves a local club or promoter who are unwilling or unable to pay what it xosts, especially since the financial gain are to be higher than the cost .
  16. Good effort by Plymouth to get so close, but now it's a fight with Scunthorpe to avoid the wooden spoon. I wonder if things would've been different if Klindt could be bothered to ride at home?
  17. Think you are reading too much into that. Riding at No.2 is the obvious position to slot him into after his injury.
  18. big win for Glasgow, but some good close racing.
  19. good old days when you could ride the day after you had been knocked unconscious. 😁
  20. I always found I rode better when carrying an injury, think it was the distraction of the injury that took the mind off the pressure of the racing
