Great to hear and as a rider who can compare the old with the new it’s nice to see the changes aren’t going unnoticed. Keep it up. The screen is fabulous for replays and interviews filling the gaps in the action perfectly. The more clubs take this idea on board the better.

Unfortunately the way the sport is ran, they don't have what could ordinarily be described as "meaningful relevant competitions"... Hence it has the following and media coverage it gets... Poole, when in tier one, realised that around ten of the fourteen riders that rode for them and their opponents each meeting at home, also rode in tier two, but for less money... Meaning they were laying out considerably more for riders who roide in tier two, and on top of that, two or three "top earners" who didn't... (I seem to remember the promoters saying it was around £150k difference between the costs in total).. "Dropping down" (if that is actually a thing), meant they had the majority of the same riders, could still ride on traditionally, and clearly, the best night for their business, charge less for punters to get in, and save a six figure sum... An absolute no brainer... If Speedway was ran like most other team sports with aspirational growth, with ever increasing financial rewards the higher you got, then that would be a completely different scenario, and one that the Poole promoters would, I am sure, adapt to and be successful within... -

Same size as that paddling pool in your garden 👍 -
Surely this will be called off, can’t expect riders to race on a track with moisture in it, they are to used to riding on dust bowls.

Not sure you will have any chance of a win at Glasgow but Oxford at home should be a walk in the park. -

The return of the cookie monster ( if fully fit 🤔 ) could tip this meeting in the favour of the Comets, more so if Killeen is out injured. Also could have a chance of beating the tiggers on Friday, the Comets have ridden well at ashfield in previous years and the tiggers are having a few close meetings at home , or even getting beat -

You can say what you like about Poole, despite having fans like Shovlar who still chats to that dirty paedo Shawn, they win trophys. There is no doubt they would still be competing at the top end at least if they were still in the top tier. They dropped a league and shred bucket loads on outgoings yet have still maintained the same crowds each week. -

Yes it is a business decision to ride in the lower tier where the club gets as much revenue as the top tier but the costs are less, this is partly why the top division only has 6 teams, it must be very difficult to afford top riders especially when you dont get big crowds every week.In football you have to invest massively if you intend to stay in the top division once promoted or you get relegated. -

After looking into this further I now believe the referee made a mistake . He could not have noticed Grmek had accidentally detached his kill switch otherwise he should not have started the race with a dead bike at the start. Once he started the race and Grmek wheeled his bike off the track it should have been treated as a retirement due to mechanical failure. I actually raised the kill switch issue through the open door of the refs box at the time, the refs reply was that Ben Barker had already committed an earlier tyre warming offence. Once he started the race I believe Grmek should have been excluded/ disqualified also.
