Oxford vs Poole 17/9/25 BSN SF 2nd leg.
lucifer sam replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That's weird. I'm sure I saw Sam Masters battling all the way to the line in Heat 1 and then re-overtake Lawson in Heat 15. Must be imagining that! -
Even Chris Louis thought it wouldn’t be viable
-
Was never going to work from Day 1 and anyone in power who approved the decision to allow Oxford to run in all three leagues should be sacked. They put the entire clubs future at risk by allowing it to happen.
-
Yeah, but to be fair, that doesn't clarify which league Oxford will be running in - simply that there won't be three teams. If Oxford were to drop out of the Championship, they wouldn't kill off the 'Cheetahs' name.

Putting aside any new league structure, they be going for Sam and Scott as a top 2 again imo and maybe Mitch as the 3rd heatleader? They can send Gusts to Poole if they want as one attempt at Poole and rides it almost like a no1! Though he'd have to give up Denmark. -

You're obviously far too deep and subtle for me, Dean. I wish I had your intellect. -
Last ever meeting for the Spires is what was said, not just once, but a fair few times. Confirmed after the meeting and in a tweet by BBC Oxford Sport.

Oxfords team building this year was horrific really, thinking heeps could hold down a heat leader role for a start ,then hiring riders that were seen as often as cuckoos in the woods. -

No straw clutching here - it doesn't bother me either way Simply looking for clarification of exactly what was stated -
He also hit one at Stoke going up the hill a little too fast after a bad race! What a boy
-
True!😉
- Today

Think you are clutching at straws there. Bigger crowds for Champ so dropping that would make no sense considering all Oxford have done since joining the Prem is making the numbers up.

Was it actually confirmed as no Premiership side? That tweet just says 2 teams and no more Spires That could mean Cheetahs in Premiership and no Championship side -
SGP New promotor from 2026
racers and royals replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes i did on Tuesday when the story broke. There has been a previous Mayfield Sports management which changed it’s name to Junefield Associates. On a google search it also came up that a winding up petition had been served previously. -
Ray Stadia started following Deactivation Of Cut Outs
-
It could be, the cord has been taped to the handlebar, but if the rider came off, the cord would tear through the tape and the cut out would do its job!
-
Two leagues all being well. Premier/Championship merge and a national league

Has anyone looked up this on the Companies website? It appears that it was formed on 5 Aug 2025. Just over a month ago. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/16629633 - Yesterday

Suggest you watch heat 1 again with the battle to line between Masters and Lawson if you want to see someone who doesn’t give up… -
Harry's in tray just got bigger...

No surprise whatsoever What now for the premier league?

Cheetahs are a spent force for this season, Master's in particular he's got speed for sure, probably the highest GSA in the league, but when the going gets tough he bottles it, when he feels the cause is out of reach he gives in, spineless. Even worse is the manager, why do Oxford keep him on god only knows. The Bears have to be short odds for the KO final. -
