Hearing that Jack Holder list of injuries bigger than told on Saturday by Polish press during the GP, I’ll let the official confirmation of these be released by Jack and his clubs, but these would be season ending for the lad, puts both Sheffield and Gorzow in a predicament, hopefully Jack back fully for for his Aussie season and then back in UK in 2027 with a GP wildcard as he was up there again pre these injuries

Launch of a 'fan share-scheme'??

Yes I was. They won't be the only riders to be defeated at the NSS (and I'm including all of the Ipswich team here) because when behind from the off, it's very difficult to make up speed there on a home rider, which we saw with all of the Ipswich and Leicester team. On Nicholls specifically, his starting ability has never been a strong point but in the Championship, where he's outscoring King I think, overtaking is more of a possibility for him. However, riding at No.4 is stretching and as the weakest rider above the reserves, he should be at No.2. Oh, and those 14 points from "years ago", were probably only about 5 meetings ago for him 😉

To be fair, it doesn't really matter who's at #1, neither Lawson or King have an auspicious record there for the Witches. It's a tough place to fill, even in a "weaker" league.

Best Wishes to the lad... Gets some bad press from some, but always worth watching race...

We can.

To be fair to Buster... A lack of ambition to win what exactly?.. The only "prize" appears to be a couple of extra home meetings which should deliver a few hundred more fans... KL seems to get OK crowds each season regardless of performances, so spending more money won't necessarily mean more fans to justify the cost... Has KL got the F1 World Championship this season? As that will certainly bring a decent amount in to support any Speedway costs...

It's all dependent on what you view as ambition. This is Speedway. Regardless of who the original septet is, it's irrelevant to ambition. 2-3 injuries / flop performances are highly likely in this game within every team year in year out. A clubs ambition for the season is always only shown by how they cope with adversity. King's Lynn always shows their ambitions year in year out by, if that initial 1-7 doesn't work, it's "oh well, go again next year." There never is any effort to remove poor, underachieving performance from the team. The fact Cook & Castagna can still roll on as they are shows an incredible 'lack of ambition'.

You can’t take Klindt out of the team after his last 2 home match winning performances

When the team was announced I wasn’t too pleased they had signed Cook and Castagna.Cook let us down big time last year.I always thought where he gates he stays or goes further back.I don't think I have seen him overtake anyone yet in the Stars kevlars. And the signing of Castagna blew my mind,he isn't that good in the Championship. Regards the track, that has been awful the last couple of meetings.Dust from the off and all meeting long.Need to get Buster back on it asap.

It’s much more than an arm injury. At least a leg injury too. Gorzow yet to put out a statement which hasn’t gone down well with their fans. They aren’t happy.

decent meeting helped by the closeness of the scoreline...oldest rider on show and he shows more balls than most of the others on show, don't go blaming the track take a closer look at the riders, half of them can't overtake, majority of them get out of shape with the slightest sign of grip/dirt. Fastest line was the wide line, you see certain riders playing the percentages and riding white line-middle. -
Coleman admitted it was backs to the wall putting a team together and asked supporters to “stick with us” through this year and judge them in ‘27. You agreed with that at the start of the season but have given up that thinking after three and a half months! Doyle made himself unavailable, it was only after Mark Lemon was asking all the GP riders if they could do a stint here to replace Bewley last week that they found out Doyle would be open to it. As for Jeppesen, I wouldn’t have had him over Bangs before a wheel was turned. I was quite excited at the Bangs signing and thought it was a coup! We know things haven’t worked out so far and he’s been a massive disappointment. I’ve called for a change there myself on another thread, as much for the fella’s benefit as much as ours. He doesn’t look in a good place at the moment and something is not right there because he’s blatantly a far better rider than he’s showed. BUT, Coleman seems to have the riders’ backs and seems to want to support them as much as possible we know that from the insurance issue. Maybe his preferred strategy is to help and support the riders who are struggling and try and get them through a sticky patch rather than bin them off after a few months of the season? I find that difficult to criticise to be honest. Ultimately his hand may be forced if the natives become restless and it starts affecting the attendance but we’ll have to wait and see. We also have to remember, that we were told at the meet the riders event that it was Andrew Chisholm who would be in charge of the day to day running of the club and in charge of all team matters, along with input from Paul Hurry. Coleman is a busy man and to his credit, has turned up at Foxhall far more than I expected. I’ve seen him in all but one meeting so far. I just think it’s all a bit nuts to start judging and criticising them after three and half months especially when we have a cup final next month. We could quite easily walk away from this “write off” season with a piece of silverware! The Leicester track should be far more to our liking than the NSS that’s for certain.

Seems to have all gone quiet regarding any return?

Ipswich Witches 2026
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Did they know what was needed? Did they want it to change? No one knows Lawson passed in 12 to record a zero Danny 1 point from 14 and 15 after 10 from 4 A point swing was enough to keep Lawson from No1 and 2 points for Danny Even using Tom in 15 and he ran the last would've seen a change -
Cook is dire here but a hero in Poland and Kvech is only a bit better. Harris rode last night as though is life was on the line

The Sprint Race Debate
PersonalResponsibility replied to False dawn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Agreed. They've tried to make it an 'event' but not bothered to actually do anything that makes it interesting. We watched one last year at Wroclaw, and while it was OK, it just felt like a glorified practice followed by a race. I'm not completely against the concept, but at least make it something worthwhile, if you're going to do it at all. It's also too early in the day, so it's not like you can keep yourself entertained around the stadium until the GP starts. Not really worth a tram/taxi/walk there and back for 60 seconds of action. -
