  1. Past hour
  2. Just watched the meeting again - great heat 12 ride from Jason Edwards ! It was also nice to see Jordan there also supporting from the pits etc BV just not at the races
  3. Got to laugh at Glasgow fans moaning about why they agreed to ride tonight. They agreed because they originally had Nick Morris lined up to guest for Nagels, which would have strengthened them massively. We let them off the hook tonight, I don’t think 14 points is enough but it gives us a small chance going into the second leg.
  4. Don't forget Hinge & Bracket's appearance at Wolverhampton!
  5. Exactly. It read like AI had written it. We had the "0-60 faster than an F1 car" line. "No brakes, risking life & limbs" line etc. The idea is to increase a more youthful culture within the sport. Yet, here we are again, wheeling out a near 80 year old where anyone under 25 probably only knows this guy for 'I'm A Celebrity'. Surely, surely, surely, there must be recently retired football players / managers out there that have some spare cash to throw about? We've tried Celebrities in the recent past & it didn’t even create a ripple. Keith Flint (rip fella) & Mark Webber. Also John McGuinness & Carl Fogerty from the biker world, not a ripple to help the sport. It could be a foot in the door to Premier League Football but I'm not convinced his contacts would be recent enough. We absolutely need to try & get our fingers in to Football, Formula 1 & Pop Music, absolutely First & foremost, British Speedway is absolutely desperate for modern facilities but, even looking at Belle Vue's, the numbers coming in are terrible considering their location & upturn over the last couple of decades of inner city upgrades. The toughest thing for Speedway is, that absolutely everyone don't know what they want. From promoters to still attending fans, most have zero will &/or ideas to move this sport forward in this country.
  6. Today
  7. Well, David Rodwell is a "business consultant" with a motorsport background. His current company https://www.extratime.app/ has an app that "Gives sports fans VIP access to their favourite sports stars behind the scenes" Jamie Dobb is an ex-motocross 125cc World Champion from 25 years ago. Why do you ask?
  8. Peterborough has a large Polish population and Mick Bratley went to the city Polish club and gave away free tickets for Panthers at the Showground. He reported that one person took up the offer, so good luck with that?
  9. Season doesn't officially finish till 31st of October Are you predicting rain every weekend
  10. Can't say i expected to come away from that disappointed with a 14pt lead. I don't think it's enough but at least makes the return leg a contest which i feared it might not have been. Midway through it felt like 20 points was the minimum we would have as a lead and then after ht14 i'd have snapped your hand off for 14. That Grahn chain could cost us big time - not saying he would definitely have held off the two Tigers but it felt like a big moment.
  11. No way did he say all that ... T'riffic.....
  12. Yeah i guess. But it normally right, not sure what is happening recently! 🙃🙈
  13. If Brady wins WC we could parade him around as BV have no more meetings
  14. After your posts on Tuesday I'd choose a different weather forecast app if I were you 😜😂
  15. Also Oxford vs Redcar could be rearranged for 24th? I haven't seen a new date for that yet.
  16. No your once again choosing. All 3 rode crap, simple as that.
  17. As a matter of interest which of Poole's potential opponents in play-offs, BSN or KO Cup do you believe would be available?
  18. Dire gate & go meeting & after all the hype we ended up with a burst whoopee cushion . well done Monarchs on the victory & handled the conditions better.
  19. Maybe they should have taken 1st leg at home both times. Still think 1st leg is better at home in SF as long as you get a 12+ lead going. Playing catch up is hard work, seen teams hold on to 8 point leads comfortably before.
  20. Disappointed with The Aces but you cannot win them all nor should you expect to. I’m pleased for Ipswich and hope they go on to win the final. If other second division clubs see teams that have moved up not only do well but positively challenge then all the better. I’d rather these teams prosper than see support dwindle again to the point they need to drop down a league as we need clubs to ride against in our league. Roll on next years play offs when hopefully normal service will be resumed - injury allowing that is. Go for gold witches and here’s to another winners medal for our super ex RS Tom.
  21. Glasgow are crap at gating as per usual. Seriously need to have gating as a back up, occasionally.
  22. Tigers lucky tonight. Edinburgh deserved a much bigger lead. 14 points should make Glasgow favourites given we'll have the usual 1-5 at home. Also, the track was fine. We live in Britain. Sometimes it gets wet. The throttle modulates and yes, you can still pass. There were a few good passes tonight.
  23. We may have a chance Steve, Edinburgh no chance unless its wet again, I imagine if that happened it would be postponed!
