  2. Today’s Speedway Star from Jenkins.. ”There was a lot of talk of me being with Ipswich again, and I spoke briefly with their new promotion, but it seems a change in the rules has put a stop to me having a low enough average for them to fit me in” Thats interesting for a couple of reasons. Firstly, if the six is who I was reliably told (Brennan, Lawson, King, Musielak, Nicholls, Edwards RS), then Jenkins DOES still fit as the seventh rider on his GSA with normal British reduction. I assume the rule he’s hinting at is the 25% rule 🤷🏼‍♂️ if that’s what he means, then it hasn’t been a change in the rules at all as someone pulled up that rule about him not getting that reduction twice a few weeks ago. Maybe he’s referring to something else? Anyway, bottom line is he’s not in the team. Secondly, that reaffirms that Louis has had nothing to do with building this team and the new owners already have their feet under the table. Edit: Unless the average used for Nicholls is his Premiership average of 5.55, and not his converted Championship average of 5.39? In which case would leave 4.44, with Jenkins on 4.49. Could also explain the rumoured no go for Thorssell even on 4.5 as he wouldn’t fit either.. I’m not sure that’s the case though. Pretty sure the average used would be a Championship converted average, and not an established Premiership one. The most current average is used and Scott’s Premiership average is from 2024. Jeppesen on the other hand, has a current 2025 average in both Premiership and Championship, so I’m guessing they’d use his current Premiership average? Which would mean he just about fits. If it’s his converted Championship average then he’s way over and wouldn’t fit either.
  3. you been to a football match recently? I think BSN are great and offer a really decent product - i'd say (with a few caveats) they are better than the TNT product of last season. One of the reasons I like to use BSN is I have no club to properly follow as mine closed and I like to watch say Belle Vue v Leicester as a neutral. That said Leicesters streaming service is always very good also (I feel)!
  4. I think he's sponsored by Thames Water.

  6. Who is actually paying Phil morris ? He isn’t on the bspl board as he not a promoter and he not listed as a director on speedway futures Ltd, so who exactly is he working for ?
  7. If Phil Morris is involved , it has probably been over watered.
  8. Maybe the lack of riders being an asset is the big sticking point 🤔 as now all can be sold is a licence to run speedway at a track, if you have permission of the stadium owner, then a bigger bond maybe required as if the venture flops, them at the top table can't take the assets (riders) as they are now totally self employed hiring themselves out from march to October. Looks to be a total shambles IMO
  9. Not financially viable Family of 4 living in the South - 3 adults daughter is 19 + 1 child son is 16 for 2 days in Grandstand £956 !!!! Or standing in South Stand £496 Plus trains + hotel for 2 nights. £496 tickets £463 StayCity Apartment - Save on 2 hotel rooms. (AirBnb £316) Train not available yet BUT a month earlier cheapest train £249.35 £1208.35 excluding fees. Or with Grandstand seats £1668.35. - No Thanks
  10. At least you got a reply 😂😂
  11. Me too! I heard it was 50k I had a discussion with someone at Arena a few years ago who said it was that but that relates to the Stuart Douglas / Jon Cook era
  12. Problem is the play offs are at the wrong time for mainstream broadcasters as in September and October the Premier League and EFL is in full flow and the European Champions, Europa and Conference League has just started so they have plenty of content. I did make the suggestion back in December when it became clear they had no Premiership broadcast to BSPL that maybe they would be better to look at running a short separate SuperLiga series of matches just one Home and Away . This needs to take place late May until end of July then Sky and Others would be interested in broadcasting it Maybe also may attract more GP stars for a short period season. This needs to be a more modern format with DJs, lights , smoke , Cheerleaders etc However this suggestion was turned down as promotions didn’t want to clash with Euro football games as thought attendance will be down but they will whichever way and also had concerns that fans would not attend the Premiership fixtures at start and end of season instead just going for SuperLiga matches . This is exactly how Cricket has moved forward clubs make big money and attendance for 20-20 and the Hundred during peak summer which purest supporters don’t like but they can get their traditional cricket early and later on the year
  13. My suggestion would be to contact them directly and see if they could/would consider offering a single 28day or month long purchase. But what would happen say for instance if you chose May as your pick and its a much wetter than normal month so 1/3 of fixtures BSN were streaming were rained off. Is that tough on you,or do they allow you to view the PP fixtures as and when later in the season ?
  14. Couple of nice we “jollies” in there for picking a couple riders. Expenses paid no doubt.
  15. April fools day no less. Interesting 😉
  16. I hear you. It’s beyond boring, but we have people looking in on a daily basis so just trying to put people in the picture as best I can.
  17. Didn’t they say that last week? and the week before and the week before and the week ……. ( you get the idea )
  18. We drove to the German GP too and it was a good experience except for no car parking at the stadium meaning we had to get trains and buses
  19. We went in the car, drive out Thursday night, stayed in ZG Friday, stayed in Wrocław Saturday and drove straight back to ferry after gorzow meeting, back in England Monday night, when 1 drives the other sleeps so we get plenty of sleep between us
  20. my experience included 60 hours on a coach and 14 hours on trains.🤪but for this year me and my brother gone halves on a camper van, so gonna get more meetings in this year.😎
  21. I went to 3 of the overseas GPs last year in addittion to Belle Vue. Each has its own pros and cons and difficult to do a true comparison. People will make a value judgement based on what they are looking to get out of it. I think the SGP seems to be moving to smaller venues, with an inevitable increase in ticket costs. I'd encourage everyone to try various SGPs, and, if they can, to go to a league match as well if one is on before or after the SGP
  22. Thanks. i was just trying to understand the cost comparisons and the whole experience if for example in both cases an overnight stay or two nights stay was necessary with travelling costs etc. adding in food etc. Not an exact science but the one thing that the U K cannot compete on with for example a Polish GP where in terms of the size of the crowd and the atmosphere it is far superior but obviously smaller venues may probably go head to head and be comparable. I still feel the ticket prices are over the top for what you are getting but that is just a personal opinion, others may think otherwise. Anyway enjoy the meeting and savour the memories. Long may a GP be held in GB.
  23. Sorted now , I was trying to do it on my phone then decided to fire up the big boy and all sorted now. Brummie supporter, so no team or stadium, Im thinking lots more people will be in the same boat. Some questions not needed, BSN. Now or we need is the NDL fixtures and we will be able to plan some meeting to go to. Nearest tracks Leicester, oxford. Buxton, Belle vue. Tracks to get too Scunny, Redcar, bank holidays going to be busy. Its going to be a strange season with no team to support. See you trackside people, have fun. sorted now, Iwas trying to do it on
