3 pointsFundin on the podium for 10 years on the trot , missed 1966 was banned back in 1967 to win it a bloody remarkable run of consistency
-
2 pointsThat's funny because it's called the British Final and all riders riding in it have British Passports. Let us know how you get on with your prosecution

2 pointsGreat to see a live meeting. some good racing..... inevitable that some riders starved of racing or practice did not show their true form... Very impressed with Jordan Palin’s racing ability at this level ...augurs well for the future. Great to see Dan riding so well. Ultimately we had a meeting and still have had continuous racing since 1928... Well done Belle Vue

1 pointAnd you said “ have no costs “. Every club , even Scunthorpe who have staged the most meetings, have lost money this year with some a hell of a lot more than others. Poor Newcastle’s Rob Grant must have lost a small fortune before he’s even started.

1 pointIMO no Russians should be in the series with what Mr. Putin was up to in Salisbury, and with what poor Mr, Alexei Navalny has gone through. Just as with athletics a stand, however feeble it may be, is called for. You shouldn't be able to go around the world poisoning people and expect to get away with it. Sorry for the Russian riders if it happened but only the Russian people can realistically have any effect on this lunatic.

1 pointYou think it costs nothing to maintain a stadium / track even without rent ? Even a house with no mortgage has bills to pay! My local clubs costs are around the 25 thousand mark wether they use it or not as they do pay rent and for 12 months not just the 6 that the ‘ season ‘ takes place.
-
1 pointFootball clubs still have wages to pay and are running matches behind closed doors, the majority of promoters are just biding their time and have no costs (unless they are bound by rental agreements).
-
1 pointThey will have just one idea- get out of there with the least possible cost to them.

1 pointObviously these 2 events are different as no fans are allowed in, but in the future if streaming is continued when fans are present the price can't be set too low as this will then effect the attendance, home fans would stay at home if the stream is cheap. It needs to be targeted at away fans and neutrals who don't want to take time off work and drive a long distance with additional expenses to watch. So for example £12 would be lot cheaper and convenient for them but £12 would hopefully mean most home fans would actually go and pay the £18 to watch it live.

1 pointSpot on in the top five all time greats Steve.

1 pointDidn't you actually post an email on here first? So in affect, you made it public first. The whole season ticket thing is something that baffles me. Over a season, how much do you actually save? Just pay for the meetings you attend, so what if a season ticket saves you 50 quid a season. Stinks of tightness to me.

1 pointIf Lindback isn't given a wild-card for next year's series, that means all 16 riders will be white. Who is actually responsible for the lack of diversity in speedway? Is it the BSI or FIM?
-
1 pointFor me superb quality. This is the way forward, don't know the costing involved but if the clubs can make money from pay per view it has to be done
-
1 pointLet's say £5k for arguments sake. Do you think it would be easier to persuade 500 people to pay £10 each to stream the meeting or 1,250 at £4 to stream the meeting? I'd say 1,250 at £4 is a far easier sell than 500 @ £10.

1 pointThere seems to be a growing "conflict" between those that "deserve" to be in the GP series and those that are chosen to be in it. Those that deserve a place via their finishing position in the series has been reduced from 8 to 6. Thus, those that can "qualify" via other means has therefore increased. The winner of the European Championship is one way most would support (maybe?). We, in the UK, might be a little biased just now. The timing and allowable entries into the Challenge has been widely criticised and I for one find it a little bemusing watching a competitor in the current championship who could score zero races points in all 8 GPs but still knows that he quaifies for next year's championship. And at the same time, we rip up a perfectly good scoring system because we dislike the fact that a GP winner may not be the top championship scorer on the night. A strange set of inconsistent standards in my view. And then we have the national political view. I'm not talking about politics in the normal sense. Rather I refer to the "need" to have a balanced set of different nationalities in the series. This is admiral in one sense, in that the governing body wish to make this a world series. But we've seen how wildcards have been awarded in the past which are hardly justified from a sporting standpoint but seemily based on ensuring a good attendance at certain GPs. We have to take stock. The GP series has completely supplanted the old one off World Final. The purists can continue to debate the point, but that ship has sailed. There is a political element to who participates in the championship. Some countries (actually one) dominates the sporting panorama just now [temporary]. TV is a big influence. But surely, the concept of fairness has to ultimately rule? We, as fans, many of us for a lot of years, can see a sporting unfairness when we see it. Surely, what we want, without necessarily know how to get it, is to have the best in the World competing for the ultimate goal?

1 pointIs it just me or have a lot of the races shown recently on Premier frozen, then suddenly fast forwarded? And why do the bikes sound so quiet?
-
1 pointElite is when the participants earn the majority or all of their wages from the sport in question Grassroots is when the participants earnings from the sport are the minority of their income speedway unfortunately sits in both camps, Stock Cars sits only in the Grassroots box

1 pointSo all the governments around the world must be telling lies cause this bogus virus story is pretty universal and hitting a second time in lots of places. If it’s a load of lies there must be thousands upon thousands around the world complicent to the lie which to me sounds incredible.
-
1 pointLet’s get one thing clear this is NOT the British Final, It’s an open meeting made up of 16 riders who are available we all know it’s not the best 16 BRITISH riders, and for the BSPA to call it the British Final is insulting our intelligence and should be prosecuted under the Trades Description Act

1 point100 editions - that's some milestone I remember picking up that first edition and subscribing at the Stoneleigh event Also remember the celebrations of Fisher and Janniro in the car park at securing the purchase of a 2nd hand transit - it never ceases to amaze me how excited Americans can get over the most mundane of things
