Don't think any team would touch Garrity with a bargepole!

Was a good suggestion/idea made on a Facebook post about press and practice day, that the 7th rider could be unveiled after riding round by taking his crash helmet off like the masked singer TV show take it off take it off and the 7th rider is ----------‐------ Steve lawson

Maybe they could do a Kenny Carter. With 2 legs in plaster he was carried to his bike nd won the British semi final at Oxford in 1984. Remarkable.

Will Garrity be 'available' anytime soon?

I wouldn't say I've personally overlooked Leicester's reserves when ranking them, maybe more I feel the top 5 is strong enough to cover for them? There's no doubt that this is the Lions weak point. While Mountain & Jenkins are similar to Kemp in standard, stepping up to number 6, both Belle Vue (Bailey) and Ipswich (Dan T) have stronger rising stars than Leicester (Joe T) as do Sheffield (Gilkes), although they have a weaker number 6 (Edwards) than Leicester. Leicester have done well with the points limit signing a 4.00 Kemp on a 3.00 ave to allow a strong top 5. So while Ipswich haven't used the spare point from signing Jenkins, they still look the team to beat for me!

You can still wear the hoodies. Certainly don't understand footie fans who buy new kits every season.

Finally getting round to watching this on BSN. Edinburgh seem to run a similar team each year. Poole probably make more changes during to being above the points limit & having to drop a heat leader. Sadly not any passing so far. Gotta say Nathan Ablitt looks good.

Have to agree even though they knew it was coming, it’s around now it’ll be hitting home hard. Feel for all the fans who have lost clubs over the years of course, but especially the Peterborough and Wolves fans as this will be their first season without it.

Perhaps there's something wrong with me but in my peak days of watching speedway - at Halifax in the late 60's and in the 70's - I attended religiously whether the team won or lost. It was entertainment, it was exciting and it was a way of life. Deciding not to attend because your team is losing is like stopping going to the cinema just because you happened to see three bad films on the trot.

If people have issues over an additional £3 then they really shouldn't be spending £20 on going to speedway anyway as there are real life priorities to be taken care of. I would hope nobody would spend money on any sporting event over food, heating, bills and essential clothing.

hi , what age do you have to be to be classed as concession entry . plus ID requirements . thanks the entry fee is in line with most one off events .it going to be a great day for speedway and injured riders who need help/support while injured its only a few quid extra, just miss out on the extra beer between now and the meeting .nothing lost .

I assume from that you are not happy? GP riders in the field , a good cause to help injured riders now and in the future.

Not for me. I applaud them for improving the dimensions of the track and trying to improve their product, and its interesting to see what they've been doing and how. And at the end of the day the motorway blade they have there which has been in photos will smooth it all out to a billiard table before the season starts anyway.
