Never understand why some clubs think riding a meeting in a weekday is bad for business. Poole run midweek for their whole existence and get very good crowds.

I suggest Glasgow Friday, with the riders coming down to Leicester for the Saturday night, then onto Poole for a Sunday 4pm finale. That way fans from Leicester could be home by 10 pm and Glasgow fans, well it’s a long way regardless!

6 man teams a very sensible move. With each clubs number 7 available to ride incase of injury replacement and paid a flat fee.

I think the number 6 would be nominated as the reserve - able to take his own programmed rides and any others as a reserve change at TM's discretion

If Poole can do Sunday afternoons, then the CLRC should have been run on one rather than a Wednesday night.

6 men teams with a reserve  getting two rides in separate reserve races which don't count to the meeting total. This was the format used circa 1990 in the National Series.

Maybe more riders available on a Weds than a Sunday?

In August perhaps but not in October when it should have been held.

In theory Poole could do any day of the week. The main problem with weekend meetings is getting stadium staff in. When GI stopped greyhounds they laid off the majority of staff, many of whom have now got other hospitality/ security/H&S jobs elsewhere especially at weekends in clubs and hotels etc.

That was the original plan, so I guess so. 18 heats so they get 4 rides each?

I'd love to see a heat 19 with the top 2 riders from the home team against the top rider from both away teams too. Just for something different and to provide a finale to the evenings.

Worth trying something new!

Will it now be appropriate to still run the 3-legged Jubilee Final, given the sad circumstances?

Rename it the Xmas trophy run on Xmas eve boxing day and Sunday between!! As due to the queen's sad passing 2 weeks of speedway lost and all other finals/play offs still to run, lots of proper bad weather due in the next few weeks, maybe BSPA or whatever they are called these days, will want the season not yo complete as they get a £3000 fine for in complete fixtures as happened in 2018 to the treble winning comets  H18tory B)

Very valid point personally I think this should be put on hold.

Of course it should be run in honour of Her Majesty.

Was it not the the  case that the Riders Championship had to be moved to a Wed because of riders unavailability at the Weekend.Originally it was to be a Sat.?

Yes. At least 4 riders were riding in Poland Liga 2

I would say rename the final from the Jubilee League to the Queen Elizabeth Trophy. It was named after her all along, really, but Jubilee isn't quite the appropriate name any longer.
