No Belle Vue read the rule book correctly, lambert was approved, some complained and BSPL pulled the approval, Belle Vue appealed with a legal team and won the appeal, as the read the rules correctly

They didn't read the rules correctly. The rules could be interpreted one of two ways. Same old same old.

It’s been confirmed on the speedwaygb website that we have signed Lambert and he rides tonight.  Wow

Don't bother me but how is that right.

So to summarise, Belle Vue read the rulebook wrong, and BSPL/SCB refused the change. But Robert Lambert complains about it on social media, at which point they don't want to upset him in case he quits Team GB and have now broken their own rules.  Does this pretty much sum it up?

Nope, seems like a lawyer got involved and proved that the management committee can't interpret their own rulebook properly.

Seeing as they haven't been fit for purpose for years that's hardly a surprise.

Belle Vue believed the rules allowed them a replacement a lawyer proved it.

7.61 - Kurtz rides at 1 & Lambert at 5

Blimey thought it was higher than that, he must have had a bad season

Let's hope tonights match doesn't get rained off . It should put a few more bums on seats. Be good to  see Lambert racing in this country again.  With luck  the situation will be brought up at the Tory conference in Birmingham, and Truss and KamiKwasi will support the decision and will forbid any U turns.;)

Thought he would of joined Paul being the best team and all?

I think in our current form we would give a few Premiership teams a run for their money, maybe not Belle Vue though!

Thing is. Belle Vue not broke any rules. A good lawyer proved that this weekend

Only earlier in the season.

I would imagine Belle Vue want Sheffield to get to the final as Lambert hasn't been great at Monmore Green in the past and I doubt it suits him any better now.

This has just handed the title to Belle Vue, who ever gets to the final with them

Not sure about that they could pick guests to suit the tracks, if they meet Sheffield then that would probably be fine although I doubt Lambert has ever ridden at Sheffield although the track should suit him but if they meet Wolves having Lambert could be a problem at Monmore whereas they could have picked a track specialist.

I think he's probably ridden there plenty of times, 2019 for a start. Plus those years he did in the second division as a teenager.

You seem to have forgotten the rulebook is on the SCB website and anyone read it.  The rulebook can be ambiguous - in this case I wouldn't say it was.  The cut-off deadline is quite clear, while any reference to long-term injuries as in regards to how many times you can make changes within the transfer window.

Belle Vue Speedway are a credit to the sport, while Robert Lambert is a terrific rider, but there's a rulebook to be followed. This is the equivalent of Man City signing Messi just for the Champions League final and makes speedway look stupid.
