Was anyone there who remembers this? Yep - i certainly was. Crowd was booing because if i remember correctly it was holding up the racing. steve roberts 9,246 Posted February 4, 2023 I have to admit I thought he was a class act...the "King" of "Glam Rock". I still occasionally listen to his music now. wealdstone 3,454 Posted February 5, 2023 My first recollection him and Speedway was when he was the announcer at Wembley following disastrous tenure of Bob Danvers Walker.
