Harrison no good out of #2, Rew would struggle at 5,most inconsistant rider in top league in last 2 years that rides a hell of a lot meets, and worrall inconsistent as ALL the scorpions and any other team on scorpions turf, I would be looking at preparing the track to suit ya home riders instead of being different every week, when you ride once or less every week ,it’s hard to beat a rider riding 3 to 4 times a week on same or higher average, problem with uk league and scorpion team is not riding enough to get some form, everyone is riding to averages don’t see what all the complaining is about, more meetings better form . Scorpions are still in the mix and all you whinging tools should try a speedway bike out and back ya riders as confidence is everything in this sport, wake up and enjoy the meetings as No team wins every meet, that is speedway uk style -
A few of us decided to head down and we certainly didn’t see that happening with the choice we had off guests. Jeppensen looked a totally different rider to the one I watched last night , our reserves went a long way to securing the win after a super heat. Pleasantly surprised unexpected though as I honestly thought we had next to no chance without in reality three riders currently riding at heat leader level.

Only about 3 points over the points limit lol! -
Berwick reserves 5+1 Glasgow reserves 14+2 this is where meetings are won and lost. Track prep needs rectified not one drop of water on the track despite the dusty conditions. Quite impressesd with Ben Trigger who put in a good shift. Speaking to Glasgow fans before the meeting, they all thought we would win easy god knows what score would have been if Glasgow had been full strength. Next weekend are 2 must win fixtures if we are to have any aspirations about being in the playoffs.

Trigger should be in for Jack Smith based on that performance tonight, Smith hasn’t been the same since he was made permanent in the side and certainly struggles if he doesn’t gate. Wood is absolutely fine imo, paid 5 tonight and has routinely got above his average at home, you carry him away but most teams seem to have a reserve like that. The problem when you have a weakened lineup is that everyone has to pick up the slack, tonight only PK really did that out of the regular Bandits, Kemp looked uncomfortable and out of sorts and had his poorest home performance in a long time despite scoring 11 from his 6 rides he didn’t beat anyone of note. JJ will take time to settle in and unfortunately didn’t take to the track like he did last night, hopefully he’ll be better for it next week.

Just a general thought. The racing at Ashfield has went downhill since Meredith has been involved. As the saying goes, if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. No need for him to be here. Racing has been great for years without him.
