I went to Belle Vue last night and the racing was pretty good. Douglas did as much as he could. Jeppesen did his best and scored and Morris played his part.  Sam Masters was awful and needs to look in a mirror.

So with the lack of a replacement for Jack Holder (can’t see who they could get in tbh, hopefully he’s back for start of next month) guest or R/R being the chosen poison, I think they need to look at the Rising Star position and bring in someone fresh to give an opportunity to until the end of the season.  Some may say that’s tough on Killeen but he’s not cutting it away from Sheffield (had maybe 2 good points scoring meetings at home) and showed again last night at King’s Lynn where he gives the opposition yards from the start.   Know the Rising Star list isn’t massive but it’s an opportunity for someone to shine and earn a team spot in the position I think that’s their only option as with Etheridge being in such a low average (nudge over 3.00) there’s not really anyone out there that’s not been tried elsewhere and failed miserably. 

Amazing that 300 extra folk attending would be a game changer, a number which should be in easy reach of any club who professionally promotes their club. but, spending a grand a week on the concept would need funding otherwise the £90K extra benefit actually becomes a lot less nett wise. . 

Nope he doesn’t. Not sure chucking him in and seeing him struggle badly will help his shattered confidence much either. Let’s see if moving away from #1 helps him recover somewhat. 

Sorry to be defeatist GM but I’m not the slightest bit bothered whether we get fourth or not this year. Lynn can have it.    Neither club is getting close to Belle Vue over two legs. To be fair, none of us expected to with the team we were forced to put together.
