It simply shows how speedway has now followed other sports (and perhaps society in general) with attentions spans of a goldfish. The season is in late May - it started in earnest in early to mid April  - yet we have constant demands for 'oh this isnt good enough and we demand change' - Change for changes sake often backfires as some football cliubs are finding out!  I still find it (insane) that a current up and coming rider won't get a spot - given to an ageing has been - no disrespect to Kennet here but thats what he is!

Called it at the start of the season that Brennan may be out of his depth at number 1 and might get demoralised, I hope he doesn’t but he will find it tough. For me, Lawson doesn’t fit the witches formula, he goes back to the pits and doesn’t interact with fans, seems moody a lot and doesn’t bother going on the parade lap after the meeting when everyone else does.  

What has the ref done wrong tonight? I was at the meeting and not one person mentioned the ref or any dodgy decision. Just because both riders got DQ? Isn’t it a rule that if you leave the track you get DQ? I wouldn’t call it an interesting meeting just by the rules.

Because he's been very disappointing this season, albeit better tonight.

I do think that is one of the worst roles out there (not being able to guest of not in a team). You'd think it would be encouraged rather than against the rules?

Awarding the race is discretionary, not mandatory, so perfectly within rules.
