It's not too often that Terry Tibbs talks speedway these days but when I do, people say Terry you're still the man! So Kings Lynn fans talk to me! I've told Busty so many times that unless his brings back Main Man Rogers into the fold that the sport in the Fluxing Arena of Eastern England is on a slope more slippy, than the EU butter mountains. I had a lunch with little Johnny C in the Wimpy in Chingford High Street just last week, after 2 Milk Shakes and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, little Johnny C agreed that there is only one man to bring back the glory days and that is Main Man Rogers! I have sent Busty a telex telling him he needs to quickly contact The Ace that is Mase and agree a deal for Main Man Rogers to return with immediate effect. The German chap was ever so nice, in fact my 4th wife Greta had a liaison with him once in Krystof Stojanowski's caravan in the car park of the Smallbrook Stadium on the Island of Wight, but that's a different matter for now! Answer me this, is there is a man with more credentials that Main Man Rogers - the answer is simply no! Look what he did for the career of Bomabardier Harris, turned him into a near GP Gold Meadlist. Don't forget what he did at Coventry Speedway, the way he mentored Big Blayne Scroggins into probably their greatest team manager of all time and of course his success at turning Mildenhall Fen Tigers from the FSO's of the sport to the BMW's! Talking of BMW's my valet boy Christopher Mills, is around to do a bit of spannering if any of you are looking for someone who is handy with a wrench, whilst my business Jimmy Lynch is busy with that wench Audrey he met at the Chinford British Legion just before lockdown in January 2020! But once again I digress. I could go on for hours, but we need to act fast Listen to Terry, bring back Main Man Rogers, Busty! Thank you, goodbye, much looove!!!9 points

I'm no fan of Pedersen but this does look like the Referee did have it in for him. Referees don't half have life easy these days. 'Visiting' the Referee was a common occurrence years ago. It used to entertain the crowd too. I can remember a number of Riders popping into the Referee's box to dispute a decision. It was fun, all the booing and cheering, depending on which team you supported was all part of the Sport and the entertainment. Ah well, "The past is another country, they do things differently there". (Quote: L. P. Hartley). Sadly...........................................................7 points

This used to be a regular occurrence and part of the fun of going to speedway. I remember Rosco doing it at Swindon. Everyone had a laugh and a cheer and a good time with it. Can't have that though, can we!6 points

Bloke is box office and every promoter in this country would have him in their lineup no question if they could afford him. 100% of the fans would have him also if he was on their team. He’s only a pariah if you don’t have him.....5 points

Not sure how it was manipulation? Any rider that hadn't rode in the Championship was given a 1* rating. Even if they'd been given a 2* a 39 point limit would still be in place. In no world would the Thompson's be given a 3* along with Flint, Bickley etc.5 points

It seems to be beyond the comprehension of some people that in a league competition someone finishes at the bottom. This year it will be Kings Lynn. As a neutral I can only say thanks fro the match.tonight. There was some good racing from both sides. For Stars fans I can only say that if you don't support your team when they are going through a bad patch then you are very fickle fans. I supported Coventry and would love then to be bottom of the league! If you were nearer to me I'd be going every week.5 points

It's those little touches that matter to supporters. I remember going down one very wet day in 2019 when Somerset were there, never thought it would be on but it was and they were confident it would be. Just purchased Tickets for Leicester on the 18th at Arlington to go with a few Leicester supporting friends. I've seen that if you don't want to stop for Double Header v Cubs you can leave at set time and get a "reduction voucher" to reduce the price for next match you go to. £24 for double header or if you leave between 2 matches you get a £6 reduction voucher - difference between that match and just a Championship match. Another little touch, not unique; but it is very simple and the effort being made is as important than the offer sometimes.3 points

You're just miffed that we finished the meeting strong and took a bonus point.you wouldn't be saying anything if we'd have been hammered...;-)3 points

What the press release does say is that 'the visitors weren't too happy with the track and that the start was delayed for around an hour while work was carried out'. That says to me that the club tried all they could to make sure both sets of riders were happy enough to get the meeting on rather than laying the blame at Redcar riders and promotion for the delays.... which they obviously did because the meeting went ahead. Understand your frustrations but you cannot blame Birmingham for not running against a Euro semi-final involving England. Apart from it being financially and commercially ridiculous, I would bet most of the fans, riders, promotion team, staff etc on both sides would like to see England hopefully reach the final. I would think the decision to cancel the meeting was pretty much instant but with England playing on the Saturday night, the BSPA would not have been able to make the decision until the office opened on Monday and then get the press release out. Not actually Birmingham waiting 48hrs... Given that Birmingham could cover Riss with nearly anybody in the league due to his high average, I don't think the fact he is injured was even thought about in a sinister way either. Having read all of the press releases on the Brummies website, I've not seen one sentence where they are blaming Redcar for anything either. Please enlighten us all if its been missed somewhere tho2 points

I like what I've seen of Connor so far, yes he's struggling for points but he gives 100% and gets stuck in, one or two others last night looked like they were going through the motions.2 points

I’m only going by the long shots on TV last night but it seemed to me that the wheelchair viewing area in the home straight stand was rather full! I know it’s personal choice but to me that is a bit dubious as regards safety. Before anyone says it was camera angle they were straight on shots from the back straight. This isn’t a pop at KL as they have tried to provide disabled friendly areas but might explain why some are not comfortable going at present.2 points

Dale allitt will step in a be manager for remainder of season. Or potentially Carl Johnson ?2 points

Don't you just love it. Complaints before the season that Bates would be our rising star. Complaints during the season that he won't.2 points

Totally agree, we drove down from Essex through wind, torrential rain in fact everything you don't want for Speedway but we kept going as we totally trust the Eastbourne weather guru.2 points

Why? Birmingham came back from 10 down to win at Berwick by 12; and came back from 14 down at Redcar to lose by only two. Who is to say that they could not have won by more than two at Perry Barr?2 points

I think the thing is, speedway teams have this person who runs the show, who is called 'the promoter'. The title sounds like he is the man/woman who holds the purse strings, is cash rich, is an expert in marketing and media marketing and an expert organiser. The reality, is the promoter is a speedway enthusiast, probably has a business to run, so has limited time, makes no money from the sport, probably loses money, but hey, he/she is an enthusiast. Perhaps the name promoter should be scrapped. The name promoter is normally given to someone who is organising a one off event, such as a pop/rock concert, who would likely be cash rich, as he/she will be running a promotion company. Team manager is probably a more accurate title.2 points

Considering their Promoter the Late great Jimmy Beaton was probably the greatest exponent of that Art.2 points

Personally I've got no interest in individual meetings. I support a team, not individual riders. When I go to a meeting to watch my team I have an emotional investment in it. Each to their own.2 points

Ask the Rye House fans if they think Peter Schroeck is a good team manager, i bet most would agree he couldn't manage a tomtit the morning after a curry. Worst at managing than he was as a rider.1 point

As Erik Riss is not No 1 in the averages, I think the only option they will have is R/R. If that is the only option I beg to differ and say it would be a big influence in the decision, apart from Harris the rest of the team will not cover his rides at the same level. This whole situation from the 1st meeting, to them planning a replacement date meeting that had a high probability of it being called off is a farce. Plus the even bigger farce is the S C B backing them all the way. A well run club like Redcar who have planned all their meetings with a lot of forethought & helped the BSPL by taking 2 Under 21 meetings (that no one else seemed to want) are being treat like rubbish. No wonder one of their promoters who is one of the best guys in this sport is saying he will walk away at the end of the season because of the double standards that are being applied.1 point

Cannot comment on the forecasting powers of the Eastbourne weather “guru”. Millions of pounds worth of computers have been trying to accurately forecast the weather ... still they get it wrong. Maybe you have Mystic Meg down at Eastbourne forecasting your weather. For what’s its worth very surprised that there wasn’t an early call off and a re arranged date after “covid unlock” when surely a larger crowd would be in attendance. Living just 20 miles away from Sittingbourne and it has been bright sunshine one minute then a heavy downpour the next. Still, you can get your admission money back ....1 point

I honestly don't think the manager makes any difference. The riders are not doing the job. Peter love him or hate him doe's not like loosing any more than anyone on here & it's pretty tough to give an upbeat report when your team has lost at home again by 20 points. Whoever the new Manager is will fair no better than him until the riders are changed1 point

My favourite "vist to the refs box" was a young Martin Goodwin at Hackney .....who managed to smash a pane of glass in the refs box with his crash hat . He was lucky he made it back to the pits surrounded as he was by booing Hackney Fans. Gave us all a good laughat the time.1 point

Will be interesting how they line up. Obviously Andersen at 1 and I imagine the second new signing at 2. Will Dickson want to have Morris and Douglas at 3 and 4 as they are at Wolves? Personally I'd prefer Morris at 5 and Douglas at 4.1 point

There was also a youngster killed in the crowd around the sametime at Wisbech struck by a wheel that had come adrift from a car1 point

I’d personally like to see the club bite the bullet and tinker with the side again. Crump was making a decent fist of it before his crash, but 8 broken ribs isn’t easy or quick to come back from especially at his age. With restrictions easing maybe a few that didn’t want to come over at the start of the season, could now be persuaded? The season is dead already from an Ipswich perspective, so try out another couple of riders with next year in mind. The likes of Rowe and Starke have been real plus points, try and find a couple more.1 point

As a Leicester fan this is a great signing, I've always liked Hans and the way he goes about his Speedway. He may well help us defend our league and cup titles but really outside of anybody already in the know... who cares? Will he put bums on seats? I can't imagine he's cheap. Still a great signing, can't wait to see him in action!1 point

Plus the 1.54 points Leicester are currently under the 39 point limit (as they have a 1* Rising Star). Current averages: Douglas 8.59 Morris 8.41 Howarth 6.99 Bates 6.05 Proctor 5.42 Dan Thompson 2.00 Total 37.46 Bates 6.05 + Proctor 5.42 + 1.54 = 13.01 Hans Anderson would come in at 9.00, leaving 4.01 for the other rider1 point

Which rules out a tapes malfunction and means Nicholls had to go Complete inept incompetence from the ref not to do that and the Witches camp not to question it1 point

Time there was. 2017 Season Ipswich beat Berwick in cup preliminary round 30th March. Ipswich reached the final against Peterborough, where 2nd leg of the Final was raced on the 26th October.1 point

Why not start the meeting at 10:30pm? The sun will have gone down by then and track grading can be completed for then (possibly?). If the football goes into extra time then a 30 mins delay will be easy for most fans to accept. Might have to cancel the second half though.1 point

On the other hand....This is what Bartosh Zmarzlik, double world speedway champion wrote today on his social media site. Tears, joy, happiness - this is how I felt when I entered the finish line in Toruń, in the final round of the Grand Prix in 2019 It was then, for the first time, that I won the title of the Individual World Champion Now, for the auction for Nina, I am presenting something extremely important to me, which I dreamed about since I was a child and which I was striving for step by step - it is a gold medal for winning the world championship I decided to pass the medal on the auction to help Nina, who is at the start of her life and also has her dreams. Let us help her (on https://www.siepomaga.pl/en/nina) so that she has a chance to fulfill them1 point

What a state speedway in this country has become what with two leagues back in the seventies compromising of 18 plus teams per league and all the world stars competing.1 point
