The bspl ignore or change the rules as they see fit….. have done for the last 50 years3 points

Surprised they have been changed. After all speedway has a habit of keeping supporters in the dark3 points

You really are still quite bitter about last years Play Off Final aren't you3 points
-
Not at all.But sometimes you lose the will to get your point across, especially to the ones who don't want to accept it or indeed don't understand it.As the saying goes"there's none so blind as those who will not see".This certainly rings true here so there is no point going on.3 points

Aye some of the fencing has gone in and once its finished I will stick some pretty pictures on here for all to see the latest progress but by all means call round for a look see and chat with the lads on site as they would love to hear your views Regards THJ2 points

It also happened some years ago at Coventry from memory. 3 riders were excluded and only Rick Miller was left in the race, who was then excluded for pulling wheelies!2 points

understandable, coming from Poole, that you don't know what a 'motorway blade' is2 points

Looks as if he will be the man this time. There was a film released in the 1960s called "A Man For All Seasons" starring Paul Schofield. In late 2022 we could well see a sequel to that as "A Man For All Reasons" starring Chris Harris ! By the end of the season wonder how many teams will not have included the ever reliable Mr Harris as a guest for whatever reason ? Fingers of one hand maybe ?2 points
-
Absolutely true!! But who is actually right and who is wrong? Posters have interpreted the same rules & regulations in different ways. The speedway governing body has sanctioned several things that surely must be within the rules as they meant them to be applied - or have they? Anyway, there's certainly a strong 'split' of opinion on whether they have or not. The only 'opinion' that counts in the end, though, is that of the speedway governing body. It won't stop the debate, but perhaps everyone from both sides of the argument should be lobbying for the rules and regulations to be worded in clear, straightforward and unambiguous English. And, anyone who might say they already are .... well, maybe that's case of 'none so blind' too?2 points
-
To be honest, the issue of whether the regulations rule on this subject is rather academic. However, I think that riders who give up when they are last, are universally disliked by fans. I've took to putting CBA in my programmes (couldn't be *****). It's clear that the only way to cut out this habit of not racing to the flag is for team managers to kick a few behinds.2 points

Of course there would be questions about the heat 15 selection. If they wanted to stop the so called keyboard warriors maybe they should have announced the reason over the tannoy2 points
-
That surely isn’t even up for debate. World class riders that have been as loyal to British speedway as he has over the years are as rare as rocking horse sh!t.2 points
-
Yes so correct. What this site does show is the amount of people in life who just want to moan. It was obvious that Doyle must have had a problem but those keyboard warriors just wanted to jump on Richie Hawkins without knowing any facts. I was very impressed with the team effort last night and shows we not a bad team when we have our full 1-72 points
-
Maybe the reasons that Doyle was not in heat 15 should be known before slagging of the team manager hey? You don’t mention that the switch made when Starke came in got us a 5-1. could easily have stuck with Rowe as he was doing OK.2 points

Pearson looked quality in his first race at scunny and you can clearly see he got massive potential..I think he’ll do well nxt season as long as he can keep on top of his equipment and keep his place..if not ewr could be the place for him he seemed to like opening the throttle and not giving a rubbish who was around him..could be a winner in a couple of years and be a top rider..but others may disagree..I’m only going by what I seen that night before you all start2 points

You would have thought the super team manager would have realised that.2 points

Bottom line is who expected Ipswich to win? me amd mate had put us down for a 10 point loss so for us was a great result. When we have all 7 riders firing we are as good as most. As with the Ipswich town FC forum when they lose the site is on fire with comments but when they win it all goes quiet. Shows most just want their team to fail maybe?1 point

Hope Scotty and Bomber aren't feeling to worse for ware after their falls last night. Amazing ride by Holder in Heat 13, Well done to Tofty too for his part in it too.1 point
-
I was surprised Howarth was initially mentioned... I can only presume that Bomber (as the official BSP Guest), hadn't been consulted, meaning officially he hadn't personally ratified it and therefore signed it off?1 point
-
Writing them as ambiguous as they can means subjective interpretation comes into play.. Which then means clubs can use this to their advantage as and when the need arises.. And. As pretty much every club will need to use these ambiguous regulations at some time of their existence, no one will complain or challenge the process.. And obviously "in the interest of Speedway" trumps everything if all else fails anyway....1 point

From what I saw at Oxford he should cope without the slightest difficulty. In fact it will remove what appeared to be his biggest problem as he will no longer be having so many extra rides.1 point

I'm a Leszno fan,, am I not allowed to hope he puts as much effort in? Maybe I should have used the word hope instead of see,, but I know what I meant1 point
-
Kin ell what is wrong with some of you people? So now your criticism has shifted from the manager to the rider? Firstly, I’d say his effort last night was very commendable no? Unless for some warped reason you’re saying he hasn’t got a perforated eardrum and someone is lying?1 point
-
The 'not trying to race' regulation is there for a specific reason and I don't think really intended for riders still in the race. I suppose they could theoretically be excluded from the race under that regulation, but what's to say they're not having engine issues of their own? So provided they complete the race within the time limit, it's reasonable to award the point.1 point

Not only are Belle Vue breaking rule with team changes, they're now throwing their fookin averages1 point

Fair enough,,, but a poorly Doyle would still stand more chance,, only needed a second place,,, plus if he was in,,, no one would have moaned even if he ran a last1 point
-
exactly. because there are too few to go around which was obvious at the end of last season yet they allowed some teams to track three whilst others have none and two have non existent No1's. It all leads in one direction with an increasingly smaller pool of riders who constantly guest for opponents. It's a team sport in name only now. Shame1 point

Your missing my point I no averages change, what I’m trying to say is lambert after all these years should be able to hold a place down in the1-5 and he can’t your reserve moves up and scores 1 and if that carries on the youngster might get a bit disheartened and that’s no good for him there is no way your captain should still be lurking around in the reserve berth and you no it you might not admit it but it’s true.oh and I’m certainly not clueless.1 point

Have you been to Plymouth to actually see the racing there first hand? I'm not a Plymouth supporter but went there for the very first time on Tues vs Poole. Hardly a 'toy track' when you see the breathtaking racing that it produces even tho it's small. Tracks are not about the size but how they are shaped to produce quality racing. I would say you need bigger balls to ride that track than say a Sheffield. The riders are closer together so if one rider comes off it's likely more will follow like dominoes. Toy track, nonsense!1 point

Granty Jnr obviously wasn’t about when Granty senior was in his prime. He caused a few “heated incidents “ most weeks.Nothing has changed IMO.If the incidents were in the Pits what were the fans doing in there as he intimates.Apologies about the state of the track might be more relevant.1 point

It is a pattern isnt it? Which makes Nicki P still doing it at the very highest level in Poland consistently even more impressive.. And the longevity of Hancock in the GP's even more impressive...1 point

The problem is when the weaker reserve thinks he's the better reserve or the people around him are telling him that.1 point
