Those who own the stadium have played the long game yet again and supporters get weary but nevertheless it is a sad day to see another team bite the dust. I think that supporters just have to accept the fact that very few like speedway, it is a minority sport and will never galvanise support at any level of government and local authorities have zero interest despite what many a local MP’s will spout on the odd occasion that they want some publicity to get votes come election time. Those in charge of Swindon Speedway have little say in the matter as mere tenants and at best you could say that they are very naive to believe anything other than the inevitable. I would like to think that the Robins will make a comeback but like so many before, without a lot of luck, it could be a long haul. Here’s hoping.2 points

I think the Gladiators are hanging it out so their final meeting of the season is against the Championship league winners !2 points

Not sure they should be punished like that2 points

No as Fricke is top of the averages and has to be at number 1 then guest or R/R has to be at 1.2 points

Should try staging it at the start of the 2023 season. As he deserves it, good servant to British speedway.2 points

Saw two good meetings there, both World Finals... The rest of the meetings I attended there were gate and go, one line, very fast races, one race after another... And that was in the days before the "straight line rocket ships" that exist today.. Getting 10,000 in at the NSS should be the primary objective.. ..2 points

Isn't that what happened on Sunday night when Glasgow were winning at heat six?2 points

Would do but couldnt care less… ask Plymouth riders and fans when Poole called of there meeting last minute despite forecast of rain all day2 points

The big question is . and i sure lot of people who work at dogs want to know .. Who told you the Greyhounds were Closing ? come on Terry ? Quite clearly is must have been gaming int .. so now you can show the world that they are telling porkies . Can't wait to hear the closing down statement .. going to have to change the reason i guess1 point

Transfer the franchise to Ashfield and resurrect the Giants....? To be honest this is a big concern of mine too. There is precious little encouraging pathway for junior Scottish speedway talent. In the NDL crowd levels are a secondary concern.1 point

Probably better to leave it empty or demolished it to attract buyers IMO.Always better if no obstacles in the way for potential buyers.1 point

Just to let you know it's been raining in Plymouth since 2pm.1 point

Agreed.. But what has amazed me has been the "whimper" that they are going out on... The fans mustn't give a monkeys given their lack of fight... Always thought Swindon was still one of the few places left where decent crowds could be generated, so must have had a good following... If so. Not many seem too bothered about their club going.. Strange...1 point

Probably not the first time he's lied about the weather!1 point

Cami saying they are expecting a 'frosty' reception. So should we give them a cheer and mess their heads up1 point

Perhaps we could invite some Poole riders to guest for both teams and that would give Poole fans a chance to enjoy good speedway and support their riders or perish the thought have a good moan1 point

Not the same ostergaard started at reserve and got to number 1, the injury helped Boro as he wouldn't of kept that up all season.1 point

I could pass him the number of a couple of ex riders who would be able to advise him... Happiness was once said to be 40-38.. For them it was 5.99....1 point

Such a shame for a likeable rider and hope it can be re staged in 2023.1 point

If he was an ex Poole rider I am sure we could accommodate it!1 point

If he hadn't wet his pants at a soft spot at Plymouth 4 weeks ago they'd have at least one less thing to worry about.1 point

A division of 9 or 10 teams should not have six in the play offs, it should have been top four. And in the higher division with six clubs, it should have been 2nd and 3rd play off to meet the team who came 1st1 point

Should be. Rider replacement is riding really well lately and it looks like it’s him that will be guesting1 point
-
Perhaps he should stage it at Poole, they seem to be able to hold benefit meetings at the expense of official fixtures.1 point

Astonishing that someone thinks replacing Max with Klindt or Pickering makes us stronger.1 point

Thought the crowd was decent considering weather forecast and BSN.I was mug enough to want to see some live action ,unfortunately.Like I said on previous Post live streaming will end up killing the Sport. Track was dry and pretty slick to start with IMo.1 point

Apparently the reason Lawson was so annoyed with the ref was the damp weather was making his hair curly1 point

Yeah right! Cos they do that all the time in football lol. Don't remember any punch ups being reported and that is worse waving a finger around!1 point

This sums up how a growing number of supporters are now feeling. Only the truly committed will accept these kind of delays. A lot took the offer of a refund at the Scunthorpe meeting and possibly didn't go along last night, perhaps explaining the low turn out. It will be interesting to see how many attend the restaging whenever It is and it is to be hoped we can find a dry night. Another repeat of last night would be disastrous.1 point

I would be quite happy to go to Bradford for the s/way ,because personally I have no interest in going to Cardiff except for the s/way event itself .1 point
