The problem was caused by the promoters themselves by having two team building rules that contradicted each other when Bluster became chairman he was going to rip up the rule book and simplify it but of course that didn’t happen. The rules need to be written by a professional with a legal background so the rules are concise and without loopholes in theory if zagar sprains his wrist that could be deemed as a season ending injury as we only have three weeks remaining. So in theory Belle vue could sign zsmarslik to replace him on a 8pt average. ii want to make it clear Belle vue have done nothing wrong at all. The rules are at fault as they are Ill thought out and applied at will. we desperately need a independent ruling body to run our sport before they kill it off.

Can’t afford it don’t do it imo. You know what you’ve signed up for. As said in another post can’t just pick and choose when you feel like riding or travelling to. If serious about it you’d want as much track time and riding different tracks as possible to improve.

Yeah it would make sense start off small and build it up, run in the NDL and make money on track hire, other events etc. However, looks like there could be as few as 7 in the championship next year IF Glasgow were to have a go in the Premiership. I’m sure if that was the case the BSPL would be asking the possibility of Workington joining the Championship. Afternoon racing in the NDL, with trackdays, the British youth championship and a few Open meetings with star names is probably along the lines of what will happen in 2023.

When Lockdown was eased and you could venture further afield I wished to visit the local Arboretum only to find that you had to book in advance...an Arboretum of all places where social distancing wasn't an issue. When I went on line to book reluctantly (who would want to book in advance not knowing what the weather might be like?) only to find that there was a £1-50 booking fee...Sod that I said and didn't pursue with the booking out of priciple.

But Berntzon v Zmarzlik or Laguta v Kasprzak turned out not to be unpredictable in 2021. They met 44 times in the series and Bart and Artem won all 44 encounters.

I can't see why some are saying it's a boring selection. It was the only selection imo, unless they put more Poles in the line-up, & nobody wants half the field to be like that. No extra Brits, Swedes, Danes, Germans etc deserve to be at the top table right now. Anyone else (except Poles) would have weakened the series further.

Easy Woffinden rode 6 league matches before play offs not like Lambert brought in as a ringer for half a semi final and final.

No,it's go to be a 0-0 surely so all riders reduce their averages for next season. Lawson should definitely think about it.Can't see anyone wanting him on a 7.91 average next season.I don't believe riders do average reduction over the season,but on this occasion if i was Lawson i would think about it.It is easy for him to lose about a point off his average with it only being over the last 10 matches.If he scores 0 that will replace a 16 he scored against Wolves. I would be thinking take a hit on one pay packet to make sure i get a further 25 pay packets next season.

There's always evidence to prove a point but none of it sways my opinion. Nowhere did I suggest the top three should not be in it, or have a go at anyone in particular, just that I find it boring to watch. I could come back with something equally ridiculous like why not make it a 20 round series so you can see even more races between Janowski and Lindgren, or have every round from Torun, surely that'll be even better won't it? I remember being excited when one of my past favourite riders made the 1991 world final and went to Gothenburg to watch - it went badly but he started with a chance. I am not of the misconception that the GP series is about finding the best rider in the world that year - it isn't. It's a competition for the selected riders based on the previous year with a heavy slant on selling tickets, to TV and getting nations to host.

The decision was presumably made by the BSPL to do a reverse ferret in the face of the threat of (potentially expensive) legal action.

Talks have been ongoing with the Cochrane family to extend our stay into 2023. As it stands the stadium has been taken off the market but has yet to be sold. I’m certain the owners would rather have another years lease rather than sitting on an empty stadium. Fingers crossed

A lawyer hired by Belle Vue is not an independent opinion. I'm pretty sure the BSPL could hire a lawyer and get a counterbalancing opinion. Without going to court what Belle Vue are waving about remains just an opinion. Unless there is a judgement in a court of law (and I have seen no suggestion that there is) the legal position remains unresolved. You are the one relying on opinion, and that is a fact.

No where near the difference between Woffinden and Kylmakorpi.Plus its a now swap for Fricke and both now are pretty even riders. Ah just noticed your a Sheffield fan are you one of those people who are happy to win the league against a weakened team.(Its a like for like swap for an injured rider)He's not seen your track in years who knows how well he will go there.

Some RS/#8s in this season are in truth averaging less than 3 but the averages are rounded up it seems , so if they take the reduction from 3 then most are back at there true average anyway and dont benefit from the reduction , if it happens it should be from the average they actually achieved, or fixed at 2pts if they were lower than 3

As @piepower said this seems perfect for junior level Speedway with riders progressing onto 500cc meths. Buy a standard piece of kit that you can "turn up" as you progress. The authorities have the power at the moment to dictate technical rules regarding the addition of "trick" parts, so if they don't do it at the moment there's nothing to suggest they'd stop riders adding trick parts to these electric bikes if they were to be used as replacements for the 500's. There's also the sound issue, for me that is a massive part of Speedway, often if it doesn't sound fast... it doesn't look fast. Look at F1, since they've moved from the V10 & V8 screamers to the low revving hybrids... it just doesn't sound fast anymore, and they know it! For me I'd be happier watching the seniors on something more like the 250cc machines the SGP3 riders were using, sounded fast, looked fast and the riders seemed to be approaching the limits of their machines so there was more emphasis on the riding skills of the riders to make the difference.

We'll have seen Poole & Scunny 3 times at BP this year before the season is out and with PL being down by at least 2 clubs next season I'll be surprised if they don't switch to 2 home and 2 away to match PL

Well I suppose you spent a lot on buying the league this season.

But a good opportunity for Aces riders to lower their season end green sheets.

Unfortunately not….. 016.1 PREMIERSHIP PAIRS 016.1.1 QualifyingCriteria 2 riders from the top 4 by MA from the green sheets of the month prior to the event will determine the Pair for each Team, with the Rising Star being the reserve. We were wrongly stopped from signing Robert in September by the dodgy old boy’s network. Someone from outside the sport got involved and put a stop to this continual nonsense and eventually the rules were followed. Against the grain I know but I wouldn’t mind more outside influence on the BSPL’s corrupt admin however much it upsets BSPL/BSF.

Track has consistently produced the best Speedway I have seen anywhere this year... and riders from better teams than Birmingham will be visiting, so it's not a problem

When I phoned thru' my order I was told by the end of October?

Hope it is coming soon as mine has been ordered 2 weeks ago. Recently, my son left a phone message to the publisher asking the reason for the delay. I asked him today if he'd had a reply and he said not. He suggested I came on here to enquire. I do think it would be more appropriate to put a date on the speedway star advert rather than 'coming soon' as that can extend to infinity.

No way will 2023 be Poole's last season!
