Just announce Richard Lawson and put this Harris rumour to bed. Then we can enjoy weeks nay months of splash the cash Tigers from a set of fans from way way down south luvvvly. I’m backing Blobby that his quote on this is indeed the truth.4 points

I don't mind that. He is good at Poole! Got 17 for Berwick (dropped one point) or maybe he was guesting for someone at Poole. I would have to double check updates to know for sure. He has won the league for Poole in 2018 and his race against Doyle in playoff SF that year is still talked about. He also gets the best reception at Poole of any former Poole rider. If he wants to come back, he is very welcome!3 points

Probably the atmosphere to be honest. The meetings between Ipswich & Lynn in the early mid 90s we're awesome. I remember traveling to Lynn on a cold October evening to support Ipswich in the mid 90s. I can't. Remember what the meeting was possibly the final league match but the place was full to capacity the atmosphere electric & I think Bryce & Spicer probably had the meeting of their careers for you guys that evening. The good Friday morning & afternoon meetings were also superb. Happy days!3 points

Would be great to see some dad or grandad of a young rider turn up with a 2 bike Trailer or a Citroen Safari....3 points

Given that Lasse finished with a higher average than Jacob (albeit still under 4), despite spending the whole season in the top 5, logically it would make sense to declare the stronger rider as the reserve. However, if Fredriksen still doesn't go over 4 from reserve, Hook will be stuck at number 2. A lack of points there could destroy him. He tends to jump out the start, and sometimes grab a win, once per meeting. I hope he's learned a lot from this season. Nowhere near the worst rider I've ever seen and one I would be happy to see included in 2023.2 points

Agreed , Neil Collins in 92 was a bit of a disappointment, but when he came back a few season later he was more like a number 1 . The same could happen with Harris2 points

I remember those days too. Kevin Brice battling for two points so was also entertaining! Mike Bennett was a good presenter as well.2 points

Think Hume is an awkward one,,,, definitely has the potential to be better,,, but like with a few riders,, not sure his style will allow it,,,, he is constantly on the edge of lifting and throwing it on the fence,, due to his sitting further back on his seat positioning. If he could change that I could see a decent improvement,,,, but without changing it,, I think his scoring potential is almost at its peak. He is a decent gater and has big plums,, but going faster than he does now without binning it is difficult2 points

Not saying TRick didn't ever team ride, just not as much as the mentioned riders which wouda bin pretty much impossible. Would love to have seen the race mentioned, Crump also got done by NickiP in a SWC meeting, enjoy clever tactics from anyone....2 points

Personally would rather see the great racing that scunthorpe and Redcar produces than rubbish racing and massive home wins. Nobody really cares who wins the league so would rather be entertained at the meetings I attend2 points

It’s the ones that don’t double up that make the difference, which leads to prem second strings riding as champ heatleaders etc. The faces seem largely the same but the reality is totally different.1 point

Going to need someone to back up Doyle. Difficult to do with him using so many of the points up but one has to be found if we’re to compete next year. King/Riss just won’t cut it as second/third heatleaders I’m afraid. You then have the problem of not leaving your reserves too weak, we saw the problems Wolves had this year with that very problem. Very difficult for Louis to get the balance right this time and it’ll be interesting to see how he goes about it.1 point

Don't you mean Zach? I remember you saying changing him when he had a blip in form mid season. Can't remember who you said who for though!1 point

I hope King isn't back with you either, I want him at Poole, he has been superb for Poole and has had plenty of rides and wins in Heat 15.1 point

I’ve always been reluctant to mention this fact in case I was well off the mark due to maybe only seeing his bad performances ……but I don’t know how many times I’ve seen him being picked for heat 15 only for him to fail to bring home the bacon. Began to wonder why he was consistently being chosen.1 point

Yeah would not mind seeing Kyle back as a pirate. Always puts in a shift round Poole and certainly could put his average up1 point

Could be Leicester's last season. Seen too many clubs succumb to the lure of the "Premier" league and fail after having to change race night. Leicester should have taken advice from their arch enemies down on the south coast who remain operating successfully on the night that their paying spectators want to see speedway.1 point

I've always advocated allowing referees to use their discretion and allow all four back where a 'racing' incident occurs. Too often we see two riders clash as they take different lines off a bend, and come together. How many times do we hear Kelvin etc call it a 50-50, and how difficult a call it is for the ref to exclude one of them. As it stands, a rider trying to 'race' is often penalised, yet we as fans want to see RACING! I would go further, and where an incident occurs on the third or fourth lap, I would allow the ref the discretion to have a re-run with just the two who fell, and they would fight it out for the positions they were in when the race was stopped. How many times do we see a re-run where the rider who was leading by a mile ends up missing out. Should the rider who was well back in fourth spot be allowed the chance to win the race just because two at the front clashed? Allow refs to exclude where a rider has deliberately brought off another, or just made a mistake and come off, but allow riders who want to race to do so. Speedway would be the winner.1 point
