I'm just hoping that all the people who have fallen out of love with King's Lynn Speedway, will come along and help save the club from closure, if only out of respect for the people you used to stand/sit with, who you probably chatted or had a pint with, who still depend on it as there night out. As a club, they've suffered bad times, which is currently the case, and good times when they were in a lower league. What ever has happened before, nobody can change, but we can all help by offering our support whilst the club sorts its financial and managerial problems out, of which they will with our help and support, so we can move forwards again. It's obvious that a lot of you don't like Keith Chapman, and of course, that is your right, but if he hadn't bought the stadium in the first place, nobody would have enjoyed those wonderful years of the past, under his leadership, of which he now wants rid of. He's been quite open and said he wants to sell the speedway side of his business, and it's such a shame that Alex Brady had to leave suddenly for the reasons he gave, because I thought he was the right man to get the club out of the doldrums in seasons to come. He's publicly said that he would like to one day return, and who knows, that day could be tomorrow, or it could be two years time, only he knows that. Buster is obviously talking to people and sponsors behind the scenes, but he's never going to get people interested in purchasing the speedway business, unless more people return to the terraces. Those of you who constantly express your opinions on social media, on the quality of riders that are in the team, and bear in mind, nobody deliberately rides badly, as they're not earning their wages. Everybody in whatever form of life has there own level of ability, and that's how human life revolves. You complain about certain riders that have been signed, of which you have got that right to do, I'm no different. But just take a look at other clubs, and I don't just mean Peterborough, they are built in a similar fashion to that of King's Lynn. Ipswich are one club in such a case, that are complaining about Danny King, Erik Riss, Joe Thompson, before he was replaced by his brother, but you don't read of their supporters walking away from their club. Many of you say you no longer attend speedway meetings at the Adrian Flux Arena, but you must still like the sport, and have an interest in what's happening at/with King's Lynn Speedway club, or you wouldn't waste your time looking and writing on these forums in the first place. So please, help to keep King's Lynn Speedway alive, and the sport alive in Norfolk, in all probability, the county were the majority of you live, and return to the terraces for the last few meetings of the season, which will hopefully encourage someone, or a consortium plus maybe extra sponsors, to purchase the club from Keith Chapman, and see if they can put right what you don't like. Only you can do that now, so please give it one more shot, in an attempt to keep speedway alive in Norfolk6 points

If Laguta tried as hard as Emil there wouldn't be a problem, he's very much a gating tart and doesn't very often chase down and pass people, whereas Emil rides his heart out every race, I'd have Emil over Laguta everyday of the weak personally.6 points

It's clear now that 'Just Stop Doyle' activists have infiltrated referee boxes throughout the land. These people won't stop until Jason is eliminated from every race. Action must be taken or Jason will be competing in every race covered in orange dye.5 points

Just looking at photographs of the rider in the rostrum can't help but notice how cheap and plastic the three trophies are. Surely a proper silver cup or silver and wooden shield awarded annually would be more appropriate along with a replica for the winner? Was there not a 'real' trophy back in the days when it was called the British Junior Championship? I seem to recall Barry Thomas holding a nice trophy when he won the title.4 points

Wonder if Buster will get the middle of Lynn’s track jet washed before their next visit from Eurosport.4 points

Morris refused to comply with the test requirement. At that instant he took the matter into his own hands so I don’t see why other parties should be wasting their time investigating this further to assess whether the punishment should extend beyond the mandatory 30 day ban. Random testing is part and parcel of professional sport (even speedway falls into that category) and if you’re dumb enough to refuse a test it’s an admission that you have something to hide. I don’t see why the situation needs to be more complex than that. Serve him with the maximum ban/fine and move on.3 points

Astounds me that some people will try to justify someone not taking a drugs/alcohol test or thinking that testing isn’t necessary. Not only does it protect the integrity of the sport it also protects the competitors. Not taking a test should carry the same penalty as a positive test, if not a more severe one.3 points

Plymouth has applied to get Kennett’s average re-assessed so they can bring him in this year3 points

Don’t think the Mon/Thurs would help Speedway in General if there was a merger. Championship does not have to bow too Premiership demands .IMO.Premiership is the League in the most difficulty let them get on with it.3 points

Our expectations in recent years have often been unrealistic. Some reckoned Nowak would achieve a 7.00 average but didn't seem to understand that riding at two, partnering Chris Harris, he would need to score 7+3 in most meetings. Right now his GSA is 5.50 while his CMA is 6.90 - figuers from the BSPL site. Fully accept that his riding doesnt have the same zest as previously but let's keep our expectations in check.3 points

I was amazed when Abi went to interview Charles Wright straight after his nonsensical exclusion - I expected a lot of bleeping being necessary! Fair play to Charles, he kept his cool admirably.3 points

The weather forecast was not great and people like myself are not prepared to travel giving the experiences of riders attitudes if damp, raining or wet tracks.Scottish weather is so local and unpredictable it certainly doesn’t help matters.3 points

What i noticed about Connor Bailey on Sunday is that he has finally developed a ruthless streak. Last year when he gated he always looked odds on to stay ahead but when he didn't gate he rarely passed anyone. Sunday's final showed that he has finally taken another step in his development and it was great to witness.3 points

I think that Harris, Nowak and Vissing were always in the plan for 2023 and when Brennan and Basso were confirmed, the 40 point limit meant there were only six points left and neither Hume nor Bailey could be fitted in. Pijper on 2.00 and a 4.00 rider was the only fit available. Whether Complin was always the first choice as the 4.00 is uncertain.3 points

As was said by KT (I think it was him), if you got to watch a replay 4 times before you can notice a slight move then their was no movement. The 2 decisions were bad decisions that could have cost BV the match, and definitely affected Wrights earnings last night.2 points

Is this a breakaway group from '"Just Stop Nicki" that succeeded after just a quarter of a lap at Peterborough earlier in the year?2 points

In the race that Laguta won he was a whisker away from the new track record set in heat 1 by Fricke... so not too shabby We all know Laguta is not as complete a speedway rider as Emil but he's not the first world class rider to come to Leicester unable to pass and I'm sure he won't be the last2 points

Wright is one of my favourite riders, but he was moving fractionally in Heat 14 and the one in which he got a warning. It is minute, only mm but he was moving. Adam Ellis does it as well.2 points

Sadly more professional is not something that goes hand in hand with British Speedway since the 1980s and 90s .2 points

I couldn't figure why the Witches put Emil in for Thompson in heat 14 instead of for Riss... Needing a 1-5 it was NEVER gonna happen with Riss in the heat. That ref though! If you're gonna pull it back for an unsatisfactory start but then see that nobody was actually moving, own your mistake and put all 4 back rather than exclude a rider for no reason.2 points

If there is a top 100 list of reasons why speedway is going downhill I can comfortably reassure you that referees making bad decisions does not make it anywhere near that list.2 points
-
I don't really understand your hatred for Danny King, he has had absolutely no support from Riss in recent weeks so whenever he has a poor ride it is always a 5-1. I feel you expect him to ride at Sayfutinov level every week which is unrealistic and his average has improved despite the premiership being a higher level imo this year. The reason Ipswich lost is Riss.2 points

For me the Witches rider of the night was Dan Thompson - deserved an extra ride rather than being taken out2 points

Obviously posting on here is like preaching to the converted...but lets be honest the sport in general in terms of actual racing/passing has gone down hill rapidly.. Classic examples are the Speedway GP's, meant to be the highlight of all the top riders performing to a worldwide audience, ye the tracks are in general abysmal, packed and packed so that they resemble a road surface, yet the outcome is a boring track, give them something to race on, not just one line where if you dare to look for grip on the outside you are punished.2 points

Aye, let’s stuff the kids (the future supporters by the way) who really enjoy the centre green race just because you’re bored for 15 minutes of your life……..SELFISH!2 points

Medications prescribed by a doctor or bought directly over the counter may contain prohibited substances. It is an athlete’s responsibility to check their medication before using it even if they have used it before. It is also important to note that medications bought abroad may contain different substances to those bought in the UK. Key Points to Remember A user can refer to the FAQ section within Global DRO to make sure they understand the search results correctly. Annual changes to the Prohibited List come into effect each year on 1 January. Therefore, it is important for an athlete to re-check the status of any medications they continue to use at the start of each year on Global DRO. If the medication is prohibited, athletes should use our TUE Wizard to find out if they need a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) and how to apply. Unsure what a TUE is? Visit the Medicine and TUE Hub. If an athlete is unable to find the medication they are looking for, they should contact UKAD with the medication name and list of active ingredients via email to substance@ukad.org.uk. https://www.ukad.org.uk/checking-medications1 point

Most, if not all sports have drug testing. Much of it random and unannounced. Many carry out “out of competition” testing. Only if there is a positive or suspected positive result is anything publicised. To do so would involve daily meaningless bulletins. Why should speedway be different? It is not a secret that drug testing takes place in speedway, both in the UK and elsewhere so what purpose would be served making details of negative tests public? As I understand it, testing is carried out by an independent organisation so, at a guess, even SCB members won’t know when and where though it’s likely they will be informed of the details after the event.1 point

Everyone seems to miss who Nowak was brought in to replace. It was Broc Nicol, not Connor or Danyon. Everyone's expectations were based on a guy riding at number 6 with only 9 meetings in the UK. Again as the other informed forum members have stated it's about TEAM building, you have to make it fit with 7 riders. Basso Brennan and Harris left enough for 5,5,4,2 to fill the team that's it, no more no less. So when the statements of "it was a mistake".What else would you have done?? People have said, "oh we could've got another Dane like Bastian in", but again the reality is you can bring in any rider on a 5 average and they could be an instant flop or you can get a gem. Glasgow seemed to have gone with a guy who had 9 British meetings under his belt with the hope of improving. I agree he's maybe a point/point and a half short of where I'd hope he'd be at,but by Christ he's not as shockingly bad as Broc was last year, the difference being we had two strong Reserves to support Broc we don't have that at present.1 point

Yeah, I think we all expected him to make a bigger leap forward this year than he has so far. Seemed to have much more fight in him last year.1 point

Luke's first time there on a 500 and we thought other than struggling with the entry to turn 3 early on he rode it well. The race with him and Dayle passing and re passing was fantastic to watch1 point

Very true that. I've always banged on about how I think speedway is principally an individual sport masquerading as a team event and I think this proves why it still can work as a team sport. Exeter was a unique circuit (which is good). The home riders knew the secrets and the away riders were, as you say, beaten before they got there. But the home fans loved the big wins. I think that's why speedway appeals to some spectators as a team sport. They love seeing their team rack up a massive win, regardless of the quality of racing. I don't get it really, but in the days when we had a bigger pool of riders and they were more loyal to teams, big home wins (at all tracks) were the norm and was part of the appeal for the fans.1 point

Limiters are enforced abroad but not in the uk . They are set at 13500 revs so can't go above that personally not sure they help as bikes are only at that level momentarily on the start1 point
