WHAT! Mr Ford "the prospective Speedway promoter"!!! I'm out! Looks like Poole have found a new home Mr Shovlar have a look at this: https://www.railcard.co.uk/ Coventry Pirates?4 points

Im biased being a Witches fan but what a signing this guy has turned out to be Gives 110% every meeting ....not just here for a payday and turning up as and when it suits him. His scoring has been sensational but i want to touch on the other side of our sport He is the last one out of the pits to the changing rooms.....signs EVERY autograph and has EVERY picture EVERY week........always has a smile on his face and chats to everyone I knew he was a class rider but to see how he interacts with all the fans all the time he has been a pure pleasure to see every week We need more riders that do this not just hastily disappear after a meeting Ive heard from various sources that at away matches he has time for all the opposing supporters to Thankful as an Ipswich fan we didnt sign Holder with the attitude he has!!3 points

Hard to have good racing when 5 riders didn’t fancy mixing it with the witches. Probably seen some of the best racing at foxhall this season compared to past years. But tonight who cares we have an 18 point lead3 points

How many times has it been said though that throttle jockeys cannot ride the smaller tracks which require a bit more thought than simply holding the throttle wide open and hanging on?3 points

Smith to withdraw and Rew take rest of rides probably3 points

Conor Bailey wasn't under power. Why did he get a point.3 points

Rules seem to be made up as they go along, if it goes ahead later i can see it being damage limitation for the away leg, Harris ain't gonna score no where near what Doyle would and Jack Smith never has done bugger all at this level.3 points

This is more like it Mr Carter, very professional hope he finds the document regarding Oxford stadium planning in th break also acknowledging Osbournes sham motorsports company3 points

Next person who is a Planning Consultant is doing a much better job. Trying to hold BE to account over unanswered questions and starting to unpick the self inflicted damage from yesterday.3 points
-
Yeah, he has driven Stocks and the company that he part owns (Family) is very profitable ie pretty significant profits.3 points

Not playing it down, we are away from home and we couldn't beat Douglas at home, Kemp is flying at the moment, Newman has been off form so if we win at Scunthorpe it will be a minor miracle.3 points

Emil surely should have been 3 times World Champion by now and is a tremendous Ambassitor for Speedway and not only brilliant rider but also one terrific human being. i remember coming back from Cardiff around 10 or so years ago and stopping off at the services on the M4 on the way back. There in restaurant on his own was Emil . i went over to speak to him ( he only spoke broken English then ) He was very friendly and down to earth guy. i asked for a selfie with him and he oblighed without hesitation. Nothing was too much trouble. You cannot but instantly like the guy. One Top Bloke. Hope he and others are back next year. Would be great to see Magic back and Duzzer here for starters.3 points

Does that include having a punch up with Scott Nicholls2 points

Needs to look at Emil as an example. Ultimate professional that any rider should be looking to emulate.2 points

Terrific performance from the Witches.Alot of sour grapes from Aces fans2 points

I doubt he will get 15 against Emil2 points

Agreed not interested in British speedway anymore imo just a nice top up on wages.2 points

Belle Vue won it last year after a wait of 20 odd years , Ipswich seem like there on the way to winning it after 20 odd years gap , looking good for Leicester in 2024 at this rate2 points
-
Both Hume and Blordorn with rollers off gate 1 weren't spotted by Chris Gay so he is hardly going to be aware enough for that.....2 points
-
The fact that people still argue / disagree about Lambert signing for Belle Vue one year later, shows just how poorly the rule was written.2 points

As I said this will be time for SCS man to show his metal Edies evidence is full of holes with plenty of statements made with nothing concrete to support them.2 points
-
You would hope that the SCS barrister will make great play of that. If Mr Edie has not really factored that in (and as far as I could hear, he confirmed that) then the barrister should be able to throw doubt on his whole assessment of Brandon stadium's vialbilty versus a 3g pitch. I hope the barrister might also make the point, amongst many others, that the participants in a Premier League football club are far out weighed by the number of supports who attend, and compare that as a parallel to 14 speedway participants in a meeting. I would think the SCS barrister will be able to challenge Mr Edie on much of his evidence, especially where it was inaccurate and where he speculated - using the 'who did you speak to to establish this evidence' approach, as the BE barrister did quite extensively2 points

I wouldn't use Lidsey in heat 8, against Hume, Smith & Bailey is a waste. I'd use him in heat 5 against King & Riss or Heat 11 against Harris & Rew.2 points
-
it's the only argument they've got isn't it really. prove the Stadium isn't viable but a 3g pitch is, this replacing the sporting facility2 points

Somebody has paid the bald guy to put together an analysis of the state of speedway, using only "officially available data"? He dug so deep, he took the Oxford stadium's capacity to be what it states on the speedway club's website. Talk about money for old rope.2 points

Haven’t used forum in forever, ndl meeting so started a topic in there. No need to get ratty now is there. It’s like the speedway friends page on Facebook Jesus Christ.2 points

Redcar team for 25th: 1 Guest for King 2 Guest for Wright 3 Guest for Riss 4 Guest for Bailey 5 Guest for Hume 6 Jason Edwards 7 Guest for Mulford (presumably Harrison) 28th would be better, but still missing Masters, Edwards and presumably Wright2 points

Football is now the only sport that consistently publishes official attendance figures (given the disparity between tickets sold and attendees, many of those are works of fiction).2 points
-
Losing Doyle will almost certainly affect some of the side , as for Smith at 7? That's a big fat zero pencilled in unless he can finally produce a minor miracle and put his money where his mouth often is!2 points
-
But like the chap said not every sport produces attendance figures, there's no legal requirement to do so2 points
-
I've decided not to renew my speedway star subscription because the following day I've forgot what I've read. Going to read more books instead and forget them the next day lol2 points
-
Predictably, the defence is relying on the 'lack of appropriate qualifications, experience or expertise' argument re the costings for reinstating speedway and stock car racing at Brandon. Tricky for the pro-motorsport side, when the 'opposition' has refused access to the stadium for surveys etc.2 points

Could there be a twist in the story.....it's not unlike Poole to have an illness in the camp on the day of the meeting and bring a 'stronger' replacement in ?2 points

I think you will find potentially a young riders father could be the new promoter2 points
-
I don't buy that at all, he'll be wanting to win all the races he's in. No reason for his machinery to be sub-standard with all the money he's making and why would you want to lose races. He's just being beaten. The UK is not as easy as some think.1 point

Craziest thing about tonight is Connor Bailey riding in an Ekstraliga final.1 point
-
We first saw Emil race in the under 21 final in Pardubice, we said then that he was one to watch didn’t gate but my god did he race and win. Role on to the GP’s we have stayed in a few hotels that riders use, Emil (and his crew) have always been friendly as have his team with or without him present, they made time to talk to everyone even at breakfast, a true gent, unlike some other riders. He is someone I think a lot of “professional riders” could learn from, he understands and respects the fans regardless of club or nationality, he makes time for fans wherever he goes. You don’t hear of him swearing, ignoring people or brattish behaviour. I am sure he has his moments but I have not seen that. I have and always will support Emil, shame he took time out of the GP’s otherwise I think he would been world champ multiple times.1 point

Why isn't someone pointing out the fact that a 3g pitch will be used by people ( mainly men) in their teens, twenties and maybe thirties? Brandon Stadium will provide sporting entertainment for families with children of 5 years old and adults up to 95 years old. Why isn't more being made of the fact that stock car racing is the big money earner at Brandon? Why do they keep the discussion to Speedway?1 point
-
Something we agree on. It's not right imo that he can't ride and it's a huge blow to Ipswich as jack Smith isn't prem standard. Although in any one off race he could be a spoiler I don't see Jack troubling the scores too much tonight or Monday. In terms of the play offs as a whole, it's fallen for Wolves who are now favourites to win it.1 point

With that line up this going the same way as last year ...Jack Smith?....God help em1 point

Splendid, which allows the SCB and BSPL to continue to make judgments based on poor, untested wording. What a load of balderdash.1 point
