Anyone who says they wouldn't swap out a perfectly pleasant, 26-year-old, reserve journeyman, for an 18-year-old, next-big-thing, exciting talent, is either lying or foolish.6 points

Maybe even his s/way career just feel he is at that stage where he may well be best calling it a day ,done it got the badge job done .3 points

I'd be more worried by those numbers if it was his 2nd or 3rd season, but as it is it's his first visit to many of the away tracks3 points

Any other Peterborough/Speedway fans from around the late 80s early 90s think looking at this picture of Tate Zischke , see Mick Poole's hair coupled with the face of either Nigel Sadler or perhaps Rod Colqhoun , uncanny or what !!! https://britishspeedway.co.uk/rowe-motor-oil-premiership/aces-move-for-zischke/3 points

Again you have used common sense which goes against any sort of reality that the bspl work on. The argument in 2023 was that clubs that had NDL leagues couldn't get the track times required to run the additional meetings. 2024 excuse had something to do with lack of unicorn horns or pixie dust. What will be the excuse for 2025 be. Glasgow have invested in television advertising which I've spotted on sky sports a couple of times but what use is it when we have 2 home meetings in and 8 week period, it's absolute nonsense. For the teams that don't make the playoffs this year, there will a 7 month period of absolutely nothing.3 points

That’s good news because if the sport loses one of its flagship teams it could be the beginning of the end I hope the pirates have many more years to come.2 points

How much do you need? Owner of the club makes no effort to try and save the club. Ritchie Hawkins has done more in the fight to save Peterborough than club owner Buster Chapman which basically tells you everything that you need to know.2 points

Can we just stop talking about this meeting please and let it drop it's way down the forum into oblivion. I'm trying to forget about it!2 points

Which is why I don't understand the hosts being seeded to the final. Losing out on a second big crowd. Even if the hosts don't make the final (not likely) there'd still be a good crowd.2 points

Very many good riders worked and raced in the 80s 90s and early 2000s.So wouldn't be too bad for the sides who sadly don't have the infrastructure to compete hence the reason averages are dropped every year to keep them competitive2 points

Enjoyed the meeting last night (which is fairly rare). Thought Laguta had a lot of speed. Hopefully get Artem back in the Sgp asap.2 points

When Buster went on the mic at Peterborough and told the fans NOT to protest or object to AEPG was for most fans seemed he sided with AEPG. So the question gets asked why? People will assume / come to there own conclusions whether correctly or not.2 points

Gordon Pairman in last weeks SS did a very informative Q and A, and suggested all the legal threats were basically not worth the words... And bemoaned the fact that instead of allowing the IOW and others to possibly develop riders, the BSP did their utmost to try and stop them.. But, to be fair, he always seemed to come across as someone with common sense...2 points

You have to turn left at all tracks and if your fully conversant with scunny it's shaped Like a D so on the back straight your wheel are never in line. To me it was a hard but fair race until rider looks at you as he comes under you and runs you up to the fence . Then starts throwing punches after and is fined by the ref . No hard feelings on our part but the big Baldy bloke and the Weasley mechanic need to look at themselves2 points

Another foreigner pushing an english rider out wonder what UKVI may have to say about it ?, these visas were supposedly issued if you cannot fill a vacancy, is it any wonder that UK Speedway is in such a mess. I can understand using heat leaders as the UK does not have sufficient riders of that calibre but here we are using foreigners when their are english riders of similar calibre.1 point

Because he’s been doing some meetings abroad or am I mistaken if I am I take it back if I’m not why’s he not riding for us1 point

The hold up was not on the consortium side, however in the long run it’s probably a good idea the lisence was not bought at the time of initial discussion1 point

There's nothing more amusing than people who get on their high-horse when they know absolutely nothing! Pretty sure you lot won't be complaining in a few weeks. Anyone who's seen Tate ride at Workington can see how much potential he has and how good he already is. Think Belle Vue fans need to see Heat 8 against Ipswich from BSN...1 point

I believe Poole is sorted at the stadium for next season and that positive talks have been ongoing with the council & landlord for the long term future.1 point

Give rate a chance I'm sure belle Vue will soon be enjoying his rides when he misses gate or gets shoved out Hes not turned down other offers because he's not good enough He looks to be heading fir the top1 point

An absolute sickener seeing Woffy have that fall. He has arguably been our best rider this year and cannot be replaced for what he brings to the team. I hope the injuries are not too serious1 point

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/WnXfjR5pbNnRp5a7/ Just watched the race on Facebook, didn't see too much wrong from anyone really, was a good hard race and a bit of passion shown by everybody after the heat doesn't do any harm either.1 point

I just watched replay, Madsen had a white helmet colour on at the start and he was on gate 3. He was late getting his bike out of the pits box. Well behind the others, eating into his 2 minutes. Problem started there maybe? What though? Shame because he and his bike were “tuned in” at that stage of the meeting.1 point

Exactly. Tate is a much better rider than Connor, I mean that in the most respectable way. Tate is destined for the top and anyone with a speedway brain can see that.1 point
-
No, because it's an infinitely better race track, better prepared, with many lines, inside and out.1 point

See what a move to a British club does for you, well done to Fred absolute class and commitment (Maybe every rider needs a blonde Scandinavian woman stroking their back in the pits before a GP). Zmarzlik needs to get himself to Leicester before it's too late for his championship Can I just ask a question... how many of you that attend Speedway immediately start looking around at the crowd at the end of a race? No, me neither, so why do the TV cameras continue to do it? They miss so many after race incidents. Focusing in on people with flags! I hope DJ Woffy ain't too badly injured, suspected broken elbow, let's hope it's not his crossfader curve control arm and he can be fit for the British GP after party1 point

Just seen some of those comments and they are laughable but typical of the Facebook crowd. I.e the type of people who’ve never heard of Tate or even Workington. Connor Mountain is a run of the mill 5 point Championship rider at 26 years old and they’ve just signed an 18 year old who’s already achieved a higher average than Connor ever has, who cares about nationality. Top level professional sport should be cut throat and I applaud the BV promotion for the change.1 point
-
There are enough reasons to see the sport as a bit Mickey Mouse, so to see a team make changes suggests the title may be worth winning... And in any professional sport, you should need to perform to keep your place rather than having an average level that fits a bigger plan.. Well done to the Aces, I can see this kid having a big future...1 point

Good to see it’s still the Phil Morris show and the riders are merely a sideshow.1 point

Think about it... Everyone complains that Tai doesn't want to "mix it" these days. Over the last three or four years, nearly every time he has looked good, and nearly every time he has tried to mix it, he has been in the wrong place at the wrong time, and has ended up getting crocked.1 point

It is and add in the watering down the product points limit they seem to be trying there best to pi$$ as many people off as possible. Now I may be wrong but I always thought that you offer a product that entices your paying customers to attend regularly , currently the lack off regular meetings alongside a lesser quality league structure is not exactly good business sense , this lies firmly at the door of the BSPL and the promotions must be questioning their decision making.1 point

From official Leicester Speedway: "Congratulations to Lions Rising Star Sam Hagon who won the first event in the new National League Riders' Development Series at Poole tonight!" From BSPL site: "POOLE reserve Sam Hagon took victory in the club’s NDL Individual event at Wimborne Road after a run-off with Jake Mulford" note: "club's NDL individual event" So not the NDLRC then?1 point

Hodder is almost 20 years younger. Yes Garrad has a better current NDL average but Oxford have raced most of the poor teams thus far and had more home fixtures etc. Garrad is willing to put it about but thats mostly desperation rather than ability.1 point
