Tarasenko, musielak and Basso. That’s dreadful luck or maybe a common denominator of somebody or something that’s upsetting those riders. Hmmmm6 points

Why does someone always ask this on every thread where a meeting is shown on eurosport? Gets a bit boring after a while. We know it affects attendance....6 points

I can't believe all these people slagging Cardiff off and not attending. It's the biggest showpiece event in our sport (or at least it used to be) and all many can do on here is moan about everything to do with it... well I hope you're all happy it seems you've got what you all wanted! You'll be moaning about ticket prices at Belle Vue next year, complaining you've got soaked to the skin in the rain and complaining that there's nothing to do around the stadium. £23 for a world class event in a state of the art stadium... with a roof! And all you can do is moan because you've lost your sense of adventure for 1 day of your life and need a comfy bed for a night instead of driving there and back in one go or staying somewhere away from Cardiff... you ought to be ashamed of yourselves! Remember where it was before Cardiff? Hackney, Bradford, Coventry... you don't know what you've had until it's gone. Well done everybody that stopped going!4 points

Very funny...although you might find Millik and Pawlicki hold that title!! 😃4 points

Look what Kerr and Wright scored for Musilak and Klindt .......3 points

In the end a much better match than expected - KL had a good go ultimately not strong enough and last 3 heats saw the Aces run away with it a bit which belies the effort the Stars made - Hope you enjoyed it!3 points

Wimbledon is part houses, part football ground. Hackney became the media centre for the Olympics, which I believe has now been converted to residential use. London White City is now BBC offices. Harringay is a supermarket, New Cross housing and a park and Walthamstow is housing. Wembley is still Wembley, just a very different Wembley.2 points

I have to say that for such a great track where great racing is almost guaranteed, it was a shame to see such an empty stadium on Eurosport. It is not good for the sport to attract a new audience (or even keep the old audience) when the best stadium in the country looks near empty. I felt the same during SON when the temporary stand was up and empty each night until the final and then only a smattering of people. Sadly the sport in the UK continues on the decline in terms of attracting people's disposable income and possibly because they are trying to use a formula that has been used for 50+ years that has brought about its decline. They need to look for ways of making speedway great again or at least stopping its decline.2 points

I particularly enjoyed his debut at Peterborough. The former world champion managed quite easily to get a Audi 0-0-0-02 points

@stevebrum Please provide an explanation for Lindgren. Birmingham's decision to sign Lindgren ahead of Laguta looks like the biggest mistake in the history of British Speedway.2 points

Each to their own but are these people cutting off their nose to spite their face? Averages are an abstract concept that don't actually make that much difference on track. There has been some good racing and obviously excellent results so what's not to like? Guys going round fractions of a second faster don't necessarily mean it's a better product!2 points

They did just that when Joe Screen signed for Glasgow in June 2010 and he wasn’t permitted to ride in the Pairs the following month. My recollection, possibly flawed, was it was a stitch up to stop Glasgow winning the Pairs. Which they did the following year. With James Grieves. And, of course, Joe Screen2 points

Well it should be. Clubs will never have a better chance than this. “The team that finishes top deserve it”. Nope, not this year if as expected Ipswich now miss out.2 points

We always tend to park at Newport train station. Cuts out the hassle of having to drive in and out of Cardiff and finding a space. Regular trains for the short hop into Cardiff and the station is right in the centre so only a short walk to the stadium.2 points

I think he has this new injury that stops you riding in the U.K but not in Poland, Sweden, or Denmark.1 point

We were finishing top don’t think there’s any doubt about that. All we needed to do was remain unbeaten at Foxhall and I think we’d have done that reasonably comfortably. Not likely now so I guess it doesn’t matter a great deal although would have been handy to avoid Belle Vue in the semi cos we can’t ride the place but it is what it is. All we can hope for now is that Emil is properly fit for the play offs, and by that I mean fit enough to be at his best and not just fit enough to take part and not do himself justice, and we get a strong guest for Doyle. Then we can give it our best crack.1 point

Agreed, like I wrote anything can happen and it might not heal 100%. I think if any, Emil and Doyle would be the ones to push their limits to ride, especially for a cup match, i think with Emil. We might get 1 trophy, without Emil (and obvious Doyle) we won’t get any, but great season from the lads.1 point

Update on Vinnie: Nothing broken. Needs to rest with physio, so its a bit of a waiting game, likely to be out upto 4 weeks! ( but we know what speedway riders are like).1 point

I felt the score didnt reflect the effort Kings Lynn put in, the last three heats flattered us a bit.1 point

Proper order too... You spend all season using guests to cover absences so only right you go through to the end with them.. No point in trying to bring any credibility to the competitions now..😁1 point

Not sure there will be a next season given that its contingent on the greyhound racing continuing for another year (thought they were clearing off at the end of 2024 ?) Tolley said it would cost then 4-5 times current level of expense to take on the stadium lease 🤯1 point

Thats a shame as I remember there being some good racing there the year they had Doyle and Barker in the team.1 point

You know what we are on about, and we are not on about Musielak because he never returned after his injury. We are on about the likes of Basso and Kurtz that have picked the meetings they wanted to ride in and neglecting their British clubs.1 point

If we hadn’t had bad luck this season we may not have had any at all. We have however enjoyed some great meetings and racing, I’m still catching my breath from the Superheat against Oxford a couple of weeks ago. As for next season it would be great to retain the core for next season. Kerr, Hume, Kemp, Etheridge and Hodder. Question marks will be hanging over Rory and Bastian with there injuries and whether they will be fit/willing to return. Would be happy to see Connor Coles return as he gave us fantastic effort as a guest the last couple of weeks. Rory would be extremely tough to replace but I’m confident the right man for the job will be found. Excited for the final meeting of the season on September 7th as we watch the next generation of superstars.1 point

If Premiership fixtures were on Wednesdays and 2025 were to be Poole's final season and Matt sold the chateau then it might be an option? But it won't. Imo the issues that Premiership teams are experiencing this season, with foreign riders not turning up or feigning injury despite riding abroad the day before a UK fixture will only get worse.1 point

As well as Brown, Schroeck (can't remember the Godfrey one) often calls out refs decisions when they lose. Bizarrely the opposition team rarely claims they got a lucky win!1 point
