How about Poole running an NDL team in 2025? Or will they continue their policy of plucking young riders from the NDL whenever it suits them, despite making no contribution to the league themselves, effectively sponging off the efforts of others?5 points
-
This thread has mainly got Lynn fans on it who will actually be attending to see their team ride for the final time this year. It's got nothing to do with play offs or finishing order for us. And come to think of it very little to do with you either.5 points

I expect Brady has various priorities including helping Rybnik to a league title and qualifying for the GPs. He’s bust a gut helping BV to the play offs and their expected failure in the semis against Sheffield is no reflection on him. I doubt there’s another BV rider who has done more for the Aces than he has this year but his discomfort was plain to see after last Monday’s home meeting.4 points

Possibly the case. It's the same with Leicester dropping Drew Kemp for Cookie. Leicester team only fitted into the averages at the start of the season with Drew's 25% reduction from last season (from being a fast track rider). He was then replaced on his full average (which the Leicester team would be illegal at the start of the season). This therefore isn't helping fast track riders.4 points

farcial for the sake of waiting 2 days to get the correct semi-finals !!3 points

King hasn't stepped up once when needed. That's what most expect. Sick and tired of saying it, but once again he goes missing. Now we have no chance on Thursday and that will affect the gate, so it's hitting the purse strings.3 points

And after they asked the question... They all looked at each other, and then all fell about laughing on the floor holding their sides... Like the Martians used to do in those Smash adverts...😁3 points

So. It is going to be Sheffield v Ipswich and Leicester v Belle Vue in the play offs... Well done Sheffield on finishing top... Can't wait... It will be brilliant...2 points

Well done King's Lynn, confirms the farce of the play off choices. Some good racing for Lynn.2 points

Very close so far... KL could throw a spanner into Leicester's chances of finishing top...2 points

Has Kelvin mentioned how important tonights result is on who finishes top?2 points

King is no longer at this level.... he needs to stick to the championship and take Hawkins with him.2 points

So different to last year then when Sheffield lost first Holder, then his replacement Woffinden before the KO Cup Final, followed by losing Musielak for the play offs ? Injuries are part of speedway. Yes Ipswich have been unlucky this season, but the fact still remains that Doyle announced his season was over in June. We all know you couldn't find an equal replacement, but surely bringing in a slightly lesser rider amd integrating him into the team would have been better than bumbling along for most of the season with guests and R/R ?2 points

Some slag the Lynn track off... But from what i have seen on TV lately, there's been a lot worse.2 points

You have forgotten the price increase because it’s the play-offs- or maybe the punters don’t get told that until they arrive lol2 points

Which racenight would you prefer? Mondays or Thursdays? Poole are staying Championship in 2025 as announced at Sundays Lawson Contract signing, so who will replace Brummies if the Perry Barr greyhounds move away - as has been stated?! Maybe Oxford will run 2 teams in the Premiership.......................!!🤣2 points

Avin one right now after a successful weekend and I raise a toast to Mr Lawson for signing his 2025 contract ! Good lad is our Richard 👍2 points

Good luck to Leicester in the final. Be great to see them defeat Sheffield.2 points

My thoughts are... Sheffield are currently top and should be playing 4th place Ipswich in the pay off semi-finals 😕2 points

I follow American Football and Phil means College Football , not the NFL which is decided on the teams record W-L-D The College Football Playoffs are selected by a committee rather than by a simple win-loss record because college football teams play such different schedules. The committee, made up of athletic directors and former coaches and players, ranks the teams based on their play on the field and considers conference championships, strength of schedule, head-to-head competition and comparative outcomes of common opponents. Florida State were controversially excluded from the play-offs despite going 13-0 through the season. They lost their QB through injury and the committee decided not to include them in the play-offs. Many believe that the Broadcasters were influential as a team with greater support / following would of missed out and Florida State without their star player would not of been competitive.1 point

I think Louis and Hawkins are passed their best to be honest😁1 point

Well done to the Stars. 5 wins on the spin with a severely patched up side.1 point

For commercial reasons they need to get somebody in place that understands commercial reasons1 point

Enjoyed that match some decent races - not for the first time you can’t help but wonder if KL could stop sodding about for half the season they could actually be contenders one time!1 point
-
Probably his own making. At the start of last season was he not looking to push Emil and Jason for the number 1 race jacket (sure that was mentioned various times before). Sometimes better keeping your goals to yourself.1 point

so after tonight's result you get 2 different play/off semi-finals which are the true correct ones sheffield/ipswich which is what they always wanted and Aces / Leicester for the sake of 2 days morris should have waited and got the right outcome and kept what integrity is left in the sport 🤡💩1 point

I really thought I'd misunderstood the reasons for the play off decision but Phil Morris just said it was for commercial reasons. I've more or less given up on the sport this year , I've paid for discovery + and took out the BSN package for the championship play offs but after only attending two meetings I could be done with it1 point

So what is the point of this meeting when they have already decided the play offs?1 point

Doesn’t seem to be one of Brennan’s better tracks. Two 5 point scores there this year. Think this will be over this evening.1 point
-
Leicester need to finish top of the table to have the choice of the legs in the final if they get there according to Dickinson. But i thought they had decided Leicester had finished top anyway🤔1 point
-
Ellis and Brennan will be hard to beat if they gate but would expect Jack and Chris to only drop a couple of points if the track is good1 point

If they want to know who is playing who, where and when and who is going to win, then maybe they should bid for the WWE Wrestling rights! 🤼♂️1 point

NDL not financially viable at Poole, they tried with the Bournemouth Buccaneers. Considering there are only 6 teams in the NDL you are bang out of order aiming your angst against a very professionally run club. And Leicester, who have the most successful NDL team, can't use those riders as they don't have a Championship team and ironically use a Poole rider as their rising star in the Premiership. So behave!1 point

Aren't Eurosport supposed to televise matches, not determine who races who, and when. A decision could have been made for which teams were at home on which date, with opponents TBC. After Monday, if Leicester don't beat Kings Lynn, we would know top four finishing order,.1 point

Lublin v Torun Wroclaw v Gorzow Torun and Grudziadz tied in losers table Wroclaw and Gorzow tied in Winners table Torun and Wroclaw finished higher because they finished higher in regular season1 point

What happens if Leicester v Sheffield final, both Thursday night tracks. How decide who has 2nd leg? Will it be Leicester if they assuming they top?1 point

Of course all teams want to. But they don't all have the same resources to hand. And I don't read a word of the PR nonsense that gets published!1 point

Think you are watching cracking Speedway most weeks.Hoping the new fans stay loyal. The sport is shooting itself in the foot with all these lowering the averages and stupid fixture planning ,needs to be addressed.IMO1 point

Really? Don't all teams want to win? Don't riders get paid by the point? I think youve spent too long listening to Messrs Brown and Lanning!1 point

Now - for those wanting a conspiracy theory pin back your lugs and strap into your set Here we go Knowing the above is true and wanting to upset the Witches plans Sheffield have intially booked Harris so that Ipswich couldn't They knew it would be overturned but hoped that with it being late in the day that Ipswich would simply stick with their choices anyway If that looked like failing they will resist a change in the Ipswich line up so close to raceday siting a long forgotten regulation that has been mistakenly left in place since 1965 as an amendment to 1:12:32 sub section 4 paragraph 61 point

So now there is only 4 entrants for a national championship and only two of those are British. What happened to the 25 plus ladies who attended the Belle Vue training school event aimed at getting more female participation?1 point
