Give me 40 with an 8 team league and 2H2A, rather than 38 with a 9 team league and 1H1A.4 points

I know it really shouldn't be in this section but come on, give me some slack on this to get some publicity! Eastbourne Eagles are riding on Sunday at Iwade Sittingbourne against the Thurrock Hammers (Arena/Lakeside) The meeting starts at 12pm. Gates open at 10am, Raspberry lane, ME9 8SP Adults £13 Concessions (60+) £10 Children under 16 free with a paying adult. And what a line up managed by Eagles legend, Dave 'Floppy' Norris. Scott Nicholls Edward Kennett Nathan Ablitt Paul Starke Jody Scott Henning Loof. Should be good fun with that line up!3 points

because hes ridden for us before because he is excellent round lynn because leicester might need to let him go to get under the points limit and at the end of the day these kinds of threads are about predictions/ wishlists / speculation and essentially having a bit of fun i dont think anyone would be surprised if he remains a lion but you never know3 points

Don't see the fascination with Ellis. Another who goes missing when needed most. Him and King really needed to step up this year when the top two were injured but didn't. Ellis has been around a while now , has to be well over 10 years and is still not a heatleader and is injury prone. Would get rid.2 points

Phil Morris spoke to a Polish journalist about Emil and Artem. Here is the story: https://po-bandzie.com.pl/zuzel-morris-zabiera-glos-ws-laguty-i-sajfutdinowa-podsumowuje-tez-sezon-gp/2 points

Which is good news. But as the promotion has recently stated, the overall level this year, although better then in recent times have still not been at a level to meet the running costs. If there is to be a 2025 season at Perry Barr, the promoters (and everybody else) know that it will be the last season due to the unavailability of the stadium and in which case, is there a worthwhile reason for running a team with the prospect of losing more money and with no chance of recouping that loss in future years?2 points

Doyle and Mickelsen would of been top 6 had it not been for injury so no surprise with those two picks. Kvech + Huckenbeck are simply in for commercial reasons (Czech + German SGP) although I have nothing against either rider and they were certainly offering something to the SGP. Madsen without the personal problems and able to concentrate on speedway would be more competitive than the latter two. Could it be that if 3G Logistics his ex partner was involved with still a lead sponsor ??? With so much press and even some FIM representatives banging the drum for the return of Sayfutdinov and Laguta back in the SGP I thought it may be possible but not to be. Nothing against Kvech and Huckenbeck but a little underwhelming.2 points

I can't abide the fellow but he deserves his place this year without a doubt !2 points

Many of us watch Polish Speedway similar to the way we watch UK Speedway... ie. More "sports entertainment" than a bone fide sporting contest.. However. In Poland, it is very much "winning matters" as financially there are big rewards, and tonights result will be lead news in the national written and TV news coverage this evening and tomorrow... We might want to be "entertained" but Lublin and Wroclaw fans only want to see their team win.. And if they get entertained too, then that is a bonus..2 points

Rob Lyon said in a recent podcast that there is NO chance Lynn will be dropping to the championship, as we’re a premiership club… simple as that1 point

Richard Lawson guested 3 times for Berwick scored about 43pts, so if that is the way it works must be nailed on for Berwick eh no. Freddy had had a very barren spell points wise until that guest appearance for Glasgow. I think depending on NDL format he will stay at Belle Vue Colts who ride normally on a Friday night, and he has already said he would like to be back at Berwick 2025 who persevered with him all of 2024.1 point

I wonder if this announcement has changed building plans, not just for the brummies but also everyone else's. I imagine Brennan is getting a phone call from every club in the Premiership1 point

Zmarzlik’s victories are not tainted and he is a legit World Champion. He doesn’t select the opposition and statistics are just statistics they bear no resemblance to what happens on track.GP’s format and selection process is the biggest problem( done for Commercial Reasons).Has there ever been a perfect process for getting the best 16 riders into a World Final. It is what it is.1 point

There is a GP in Prague. If they want this to sell and also secure the venue, they need to include a Czech. Czechs "We will host a GP next year and pay £XXX but only if we can have two Czechs in it, else bog off." That's something which I definitely think is part of it. It's never been about the best riders. Same in many individual sports where countries have places rather than the best entrants.1 point

Not embarrassed in the slightest. Speedway existed up until 4/5 years ago without the need for reserve teams from other clubs. Was a thriving NDL on its own right. Btw I have little interest in premiership either, that embarrassing too? The champ imo has always had the most entertaining product until Mr Morris has come along and tried to run it into the ground to try and maintain a premiership that's been on life support for at least a decade. I have knowledge of the NDL and the riders coming through, I just don't find Joe Thompson winning most heats by 3/4 of a lap entertaining and wouldn't pay to watch it. Get it?1 point

But those clubs that don't run because it is a "loss making idea", are quite happy to hoover up the talent that does emerge from the efforts of other clubs!🤬 And when the promise does not materialise as hoped (e.g. Max Perry), they spit them out and grab another prospect that they have done nothing to support.1 point

I'm sure the real money coming from riding in the GPs would be sponsors, the prize money (at least for the top riders) I'd guess is more a bonus than anything1 point
