Well if riders listened to most folk nobody would get on a bike ever again ,same with woffinden, some fans saying “if I was woffy I would retire he has nothing to prove “ the fact is you’re not woffinden and if he feels the need to get back on the horse so to speak and I suspect he does he will and your opinion will have no bearing on it despite you right to voice it2 points

Svemo doesn't do the updates; They only provide the platform for it. Updates are done by volounteers from the hosting club. For Smederna - Indianerna is that Chugunov is here and also that it's raining.2 points

You are wasting your time on this forum. Simply watch, observe and digest if you can and do not bother to respond, this place is no longer for genuine speedway followers but for the trolls who believe that no one else is entitled to a alternative view or valid comment. This use to be a genuine exchange of views from genuine speedway supporters but now, with a few exceptions it is just a cesspool of vitriolic views by few and fewer real supporters of the sport. Watch the response to this to see what it is like.2 points

There was a good interview with Jason Doyle in the Speedway Star and he mentioned how some riders are basically "starving themselves" up to three days before meetings to drop weight.. Tai, and others, have mentioned in the past how much of an advantage being "lightweight" can be on the big circuits where speed is key.. When the tracks were deeper, maybe a bit of weight helped drive the back wheel into the grip, but on today's wide, big, fast, slick circuits, getting off the start line and riding full gas has never been so important given the straight line "rocket ships" they race on.. Bikes get checked for weight, so maybe both man and machine should have a minimum combined weight too? Doyle suggested that the weight loss can be draining and weaken the strength of the riders, which obviously means a potential safety issue could exist... They changed the weigh in time in Boxing due to fighters "boiling down" and losing weight right up to the morning of the weigh in, the day before a fight, meaning so much strength and endurance had been lost come fight night, even after trying to pile pounds back on in 24 hours.. Would a "minimum weight" for rider and bike even up the playing field?1 point

So Klindt at 1 and Thompson at 4 return for the Gladiators. Pirates as per with Zach at 5 and Kerr at 4- with hopefully no mechanical issues!1 point

Rearranged date will be a normal working Monday. Biggest crowds are Bank Hols and they need people through the gates. Most i know dont have access to TNT sports and so they attend. Strange choice to call it off so early and sounds like it could have gone ahead.1 point

Denmark been rained off then? With the rain today, track should be better than normal as long as they continue the watering during the day tomorrow.1 point

Pretty sure they said the teams and corresponding numbers before the draw was made1 point

It’s more of a pain when the confirmed teams come up around 30 mins before the start don’t mention that it’s R/R for ….. sometimes they do but others not. I don’t think we have had RR yet in Sweden this season which is a welcome change.1 point

Yeah, I can tell the time. Not sure about the Belle Vue one, but the Oxford preview was posted at 12.03pm on Sunday 25th May.... almost SEVEN hours before Rob's post. It was then updated at 9.09pm, adding in the missing sponsor. You've made yourself look a bit silly now haven't you?1 point

I have said it before , daytime meetings on uk tracks are always a disaster . Track material just cannot hold enough water. A sunny or windy day and ithe track will be like a dusty road. The only track that I have seen raceable in daytime conditions was Arlington - where the late Bob Dugard literally flooded the track before start time and the track material used had good water retention.1 point

Was gonna say the same. He held his hands up and admitted he got it wrong so fair play to him for that. His honesty was refreshing.1 point

No it was not. Was drawn live on BSN with all 4 balls in the the draw together. Don't think BSN were told to do anything else.1 point

It was clear today that the track needed a final watering before heat 1. Tbf Stewart Dickson was very honest in his interview on socials after the meeting.1 point

The reasons the advertising signs were down today was due to the wind the track staff stood them up at least twice that I saw even moving bricks to help but they kept blowing down . You have to remember for safety they have to be lightweight aluminium frames with canvas1 point

Yeah. That must be right because mark said today that both days are 6,5001 point

Lawson is very Professional how he approaches the sport to make money and is very organised .Some riders think the answer is to ride as much as possible and make money without the organisation and mechanical set-up in place.IMO.1 point

My assumption was R/R since they put him at nr 4 and Kim at nr 5. However Smederna apparently told local news paper that Gleb will ride tomorrow. I am however still sceptical of that since Smederna have a history of not disclosing information and announce stuff at rider presentation despite it have been known for days. We'll see tomorrow if he's here or not. I don't really like that attitude, to hide information from fans until the very last minute. If they know Saturday-Sunday then put out some information after the line ups become public on Sunday evening at 21.00.1 point

I think it's more the.Glasgow track staff work week in, week out, and they know what works and what doesn't, as well as what the local forecast usually translates to. Unfortunately the FIM don't, and they don't appear to love listening to the locals at events.1 point

Would've been hard if not impossible to achieve that team building with a 40 point limit. Another strong heat leader would mean weaker reserves needed. With Bowes being on a 5.00, but the Kennedy's & McDiarmid on 4.00 (or 4.27 for Zaine) it was easier for them to be at reserve.1 point

According to Dick Barrie's column in this weeks Speedway Star, the system of riders being considered assets of clubs has been quietly scrapped. So clubs will no longer receive transfer fees or loan fees for riders who go off to ride elsewhere. Riders are now considered self-employed. Given that some clubs will have spent a lot of time and money building an asset base and therefore could suffer a significant loss of income, I'm surprised that this decision hasn't been more widely publicised and debated in the speedway press. Clearly this benefits new clubs or clubs who have never built or maintained an asset base. Also, I think it discourages clubs from taking a chance on investing in an up and coming rider, knowing that the following season, that rider could move elsewhere with no return for the investment the club has made. So I do wonder what the rationale is for scrapping this system?1 point

I am beginning to despair about WBD !!! In 22 in Wroclaw, 23 in Malilka and last year in Gorzow we have watched on Discovery + on the Friday afternoon 3 cracking meetings with the talented youngsters giving it all on the 250cc bikes. Forward to 2025 and it seems that WBD do not know that in Prague this Friday 30th at 5pm local and 4pm UK time we have the final. No coverage that i can see on Discovery + or on TNT Sports and or their red button channels !! They will not answer an email enquiry so really frustrated with their amateurish approach to this Championship.0 points
