  1. Ridiculous that Riss and Mulford are missing this match,to ride in Germany on Monday!!I stopped going to speedway last year after 50 years, came back this year, tried to give it another shot, what’s the point? No meetings for 2/3 weeks, then when there is half the team missing. The sport is a joke.

  2. So GP points are at stake and the public are not allowed to attend. Pathetic

  3. I sometimes wonder if Cami actually watches the racing with some of his after match soundbites. Poole were just the better side is his latest , personally out with Bomber Poole were the far better side by a distance. Hopefully Dan will be back soon, if last nights performance is an indication on how things are going then we are in trouble. Just say it how it is we were beaten by a superior team on the night it’s that simple.

  4. Freddie’s scored his average 1+1 ,Max scored double his 2 average so think our reserves scored pretty well

  5. That was a gaters track was it Paul ? Why were the Glasgow riders using the inside line while Poole used the dirt on the outside line ? You ain't going to pass if your not chasing the dirt. Poole were the better team from the off and raced Ashfield like it was their home track ,which is no surprise. But Glasgow had an off night, we take it on the chin and admit to having a poor night without looking for excuses.

  6. I actually thought the size of the crowd was a bit disappointing considering who the opposition were .Where I stand on the back straight it was less crowded than usual . Anyway we set up a gaters track for a meeting against Poole probably wasn't the best idea , though they were the better team on the night . Bomber apart we weren't at our best Disappointing after our away heroics , but thats speedway , we move on . Poole look to be the team to beat again this season

  8. That is an extremely poor decision from someone and in my opinion the FIM and WBD should ensure that qualifying/sprint is always available for ticket holders( limited number ok) to have entrance to all the stadiums- it should be part of the contract. It would be fair enough for fans having to leave at the completion of the Sprint race- around 3.15pm to give them time to reset for the GP. ” Made for TV “ springs to mind !!!!

  9. Never see him on a Plymouth thread, spends all his time on the Poole ones

  10. I don't understand this part "Erik informed us this morning that due to his Landshut meeting being called off he was now required at GP qualifying practise" Can anyone explain? It sounds as if his Polish match has priority over GP qualifying practice, but his British match doesn't? I'm guessing originally Riss could make it to the Landshut match, but GP qualifying must be harder to get to? Has this ever happened before, a rider due to ride in Britain on a Saturday, has to miss the match because a Polish League meeting the following day was postponed?

  11. His average changes to 20.13 next week. Seems like he has been scoring 20 points most weeks.

  12. Feel sorry for the busload of Bears fans who travelled down but probably best outcome for the team in terms of result. Poor communication from Plymouth promotion though, no mention that the meeting was in doubt at any stage, even 30 mins before the start when I decided to purchase the stream.

  13. All ifs buts and maybes , yes you turned us over deservedly but there is a long way to go. As we all know a lot can happen for and against you in this sport. Just hope we can get Dan back sooner rather than later guaranteed double figures every week and things may have been different last night with Dan. Ashton I doubt we will see again this season it really depends on what rabbit we can pull out the Tarrasenko hat. Enjoy your deserved win last night but don’t get too far ahead of yourself a long long way to go. And who cares on the Boughen, Barker scenario in it’s like me going on about Edwards scoring more than Cook who cares.

  14. I think Redcar are the favourites, Glasgow and Poole are challengers but not favourites.

  15. We are definitely not clear favourites. There is no clear favourite this year - it looks quite even overall. We need to stop with the whole Glasgow/Poole will/should win everything nonsense. It's much more competitive than that.

  16. Possible but what was noticeable was a lack off speed some of our top 5 had or the need to adapt to the track after there first rides. On the other hand our opponents adapted to the track far better and considerably quicker than we did outwith Bomber. Poole fully deserved the win and looked more like the home team because they adapted to the conditions quicker that’s got to be a worry.

  18. Kerr was much better which definitely helped and Tobias was terrific, a good all round team performance. I would keep the team riding positions as they were last night, Rowe at 5 and Kerr at 4 seemed to work.

  19. That is always a difficult measurement... As, what we have today, week in week out, is pretty much down to the "hard core" who, basically, will turn up regularly to watch "anything" served up.. A section of the crowds these days being "die hard club fans", and the other being "generic speedway fans".. Both sections just want to watch "some speedway" with one section judging their enjoyment of the night due to the result, and the other, judging their night on the racing.. The more difficut to quantify measurement is his how many are not there from the numbers of say 20 years ago?...

  29. It is way more unpredictable than usual. Poole have drawn at Oxford, Oxford have won at Poole, Glasgow have won at Oxford and Poole have won at Glasgow. So much for home wins! Using BSN for the Oxford/Poole ones.

  30. Its mad how Riss and mulford miss today because they are riding in germany on monday.

  31. Why wasn't he riding? Hasn't he just signed for his Polish team? The Glasgow fixtures was in his schedule since the fixtures came out. UK used to get priority unless it was a rearranged fixture, if rider wasn't contracted at the start of the season. Does Poland always get priority now?

  32. Was considering purchasing the stream but given the cost and the fact the Bears have a much weakened team I’m not sure I will now. Unfortunate for the Bears to lose Riss at such a late stage and not be able to get a guest. If the Bears can keep it close for the aggregate point that will be a decent effort.

  33. Meeting in Germany starts at 1pm GMT so should be done by 3pm. I'm sure arrangements could be made to get to Leicester by 7.30pm.

  34. First, hope that Worrall is OK after a very nasty crash. From the gate it didnt look like Kildemand bothered to turn and just kept going staright. I thought he'd be excluded but the ref obviously saw different with all four. The crashes and the new interval race for the kids meant a drawn out meeting by EWR standards, but a decent night's racing. Good to see Lambo scoring well, you can see what it means to him, hope it continues. Any news on Worrall?

  36. If it had been called off due to rain, with two full teams expected... It would have just been rearranged like all other call offs... Meetings get called off prior to the day of the meeting due to a "dodgy" weather forecast, so why not call them off due to a "dodgy" team full of guests? They run "guestfest" meetings like this simply because they can... And that is fine when fans pretend with them that it is a bona fide competition.. But those promoters, and those fans, cannot then moan as the sport slowly disappears due to the lack of sufficient crowd numbers.....

  41. Your complete lack of intelligence to read what I wrote before you replied is amusing. Firstly, I wrote " Manchester is right in the middle of Britain. Probably the fairest place to hold a G.P. to make sure it's equally accessible for everyone." Since I was talking about the fairest place to host the BRITISH Grand Prix, that would make sense to be the middle of BRITAIN. It wouldn't be very intelligent to leave out Scotland and Wales, and just go for the middle of England. What kind of fool would do that? Secondly I wrote "Manchester is 230 miles from Ipswich. Ipswich to Cardiff is 260 miles."' These distances don't change on a daily basis. They are fixed. Surely anyone with a reasonable intelligence level would understand that. I wasn't commenting on anyone not being able to get tickets on a Saturday because no one made any comment about not being able to get tickets on a Saturday. If someone later wants to dishonestly pretend that they said they couldn't get Saturday tickets, when they actually had said no such thing, then their dishonesty says more about them that anyone else. Let's hope they can learn from their mistakes, and make better posts in future.

  47. Not to be pedantic but Trigger was actually 6th and to be honest, while he had a fall in his 3rd race. I'd actually say that's a pretty poor result given the company. The lad Cooper Rushen looks a good prospect though, scored well last night and scored a bucket load at Belle Vue on his only NDL league match for Leicester. Looks a kid going places and only a matter of time before someone gives him a CL ride. Guessing he would be a 2 pointer as well. Would be a good move imo to replace Trigger (or Cluff) with this lad and free up some points in the meantime to strengthen further up the order.
