  1. I keep reading on this forum - mainly the premiership section - that speedway has loads of problems, for example, track preparation, no atmosphere, no kids, no young adults just 'old folk', riders not interacting with fans and missing riders. Track preparation - Despite the heat, it was still 25C when I got home at 10.30pm, there was no dust whatsoever and there wasn't an over watered track just a superb smooth one that provided fantastic racing. No atmosphere - the main stand which was virtually full, roared when the 2 youngsters got their first 5-1 in Heat 2 and thereafter when Barker and Howarth, etc, etc had great battles yet again people got to their feet cheering, clapping and clearly enjoying the evening's entertainment. Nicolai Klindt seemed amazed at the applause he got on his laps of honour and came around again after his last race. The back straight terracing and other stands also were busy. No kids - there were a lot kids some of whom participated in two races one for under 10s and one for over 10s - an idea I believe pinched from Plymouth! No young adults - again good numbers some of whom had brought along their kids. Old folk - yes quite a few but all happy to let some of the new fans know what was going on. No interaction with fans - laps of honour saluting the fans and lots of autographs later. Missing riders - both teams a full strength. Yes speedway has problems but last night was just pure entertainment. There were a couple of fans from Leicester in the stand and they seemed a bit surprised by the whole package. Proved you don't need to doctor tracks to win meetings at home, Mr Dixon 😉

  3. She’s once again proving to be one of the worst refs in the world. Who in the right mind gives her a GP, wouldn’t even give her a national league meeting.

  4. Good post, was a very enjoyable night, racing was class last night as was the track and also a very good atmosphere what's not to like.

  5. Gusts scoring 11 points is "rubbish", McDiarmid scoring 6+1 is "rubbish"?

  7. Why not just go on the speedway updates site, that’s what it’s there for.

  8. Very impressed with my first visit to Ashfield in over a decade. Great nights entertainment on a marvellous race surface which allowed the riders to express themselves. I left the stadium buzzing. Not a fan of Nicolai Kindt but thought last night he looked really classy. He has been struggling at this level but no issues last night.

  9. Job done again today, no points gained by Kurtz

  10. “Injured “Brady Kurtz wins GP. REALLY!!

  11. Kurtz fast gaining a reputation for "full on, get out of my way racing"... Hence riders move over, (even Freddie!), similar to when BZ flies under you... They know not to try and block without consequence... The only thing holding Dan back...

  27. Janowski is more committed to British Speedway than Brady Kurtz. Magic maybe scoring poorly for the Spires but it's not down to a lack of effort that's for sure, He still turns up every week and gives it 100% instead of not showing up at all.

  28. Double figures from Dan on his return from injury at Glasgow last night. Right back on it. Huge boost. Now fingers crossed Doyley comes through tonight’s GP unscathed and we can have our full 1-7 back on track Monday.

  29. Brady is doing what is best for him, his career, his achievements in the sport. His club career is secondary. Jason Doyle came back too soon as he tends to do because he doesnt want to let his club down but he is at a different stage in his career to Brady, he knows he has little chance of challenging to be world champion again so club success is more important to him.

  36. Because she is consistently useless... And is hidden from criticism due to gender politics... The list of dreadful decisions, (with TV reviews available) is growing, and truly staggeringly bad...

  42. So hot today they got the track prep ok for the free practise then all wrong for qualifiers with too much water and then Sarah desert for the spring race! Lovely day for it though! Gorzow over Manchester for me always. Speedway city and the atmosphere around the place is like a speedway party đŸ‘đŸ» whether the racing is as good, probably not, but I’d rather spend my money here than Manchester!

  43. I dont get why so many non Belle Vue fans are bothered about this if Doyle had done the same thing it wouldnt bother me and really British speedway has fallen so far now there really isnt any point mithering, speedway in GB is what it is.

  44. That really isn’t the flex you think it is. In fact, it’s embarrassing. You won last year for one reason and one reason only, the best team in the league by a country mile had their team ripped to shreds through injury. You simply became the Belle Vue vultures and picked over a dead carcass. That really isn’t anything to be proud of, Phil. If you’re a win at all costs type of person, don’t care how it’s done or how hollow a victory it is as long as you get your name on the trophy, then that’s up to you. I’m sure all you Belle Vue fans sat there getting a big stiffy with news of injuries once again filtering through from Ipswich way, dreaming of a repeat. The Belle Vue vultures once again circling their prey..

  45. Absolute credit to the track staff track was amazing, I went expecting to come home covered but there was absolutely no dust whatsoever. Great work from all memebers of the team tonight, Hodder looked really quick tonight and Perry was looking competitive as well. Vilads had a bit of an unfortunate night with bike issues but he looked fast and wasn't afraid to attack.

  46. Just catching up with the BSN meeting... and I can't believe that Nick Morris is even in Mr Dickson's thinking! Has he learnt nothing from the Craig Cook episode?!?

  47. Belle Vue fans comparing Doyle to Kurtz is laughable One has given season after season of dedication to uk speedway and one has always been known to pick and choose Let’s look at current situation Doyle has a serious injury decides his first meeting will be a GP
 nothing wrong with that
Kurtz does the same and rides in British GP Doyle is in absolute pain but tries to ride Monday for his club
. Kurtz crashes decides he can’t make Thursday but hey ho is good to go Friday in Poland and will obviously be in GP If Kurtz doesn’t crash then he must surely ride Monday at Belle Vue Ive even seen one clown say Ipswich should be annoyed Dan T riding tonight

he has to come back somewhere for one of his club sides and hopefully all being well will be at Ipswich Monday as Doyle plans to be Doyle and Brady similar hahaha

  48. The sun certainly ain’t shining in Belle Vue. You spent all your money on x2 grand prixs and half your fans don’t even turn up until September 😂 oh sorry neither does your captain 😂
    2 points
  49. Nab he didn’t. He isn’t saving himself for individual success. If he can ride for his team he would. He takes his club commitments seriously. Just turned on Eleven sport to see Kurtz lined up for Wroclaw less than 24 hrs after Belle Vue got destroyed.
