Cook, ban him, revoke his visa too, kick him out the country, we don’t need tossers like that taking the pee out of British fans, sick to death of riders thinking they are bigger than the sport13 points

When are the King's Lynn fans really going to question this club?? We cannot keep blaming Poland. Baggy has said Cook is fully committed to British Speedway. Yes, until he came to King's Lynn. Musielak - never let British Speedway down, yep, until he came to King's Lynn. In 2023 - Pickering did the same, never let anyone down until he came here. Laguta & Tarasenko too, couldn't wait to get out. Year after year after year somebody can't be a$$ed to come back. Which other Premiership teams suffers with this every single season?? The most common denominator is this club, not Poland.8 points

If it's too much trouble for him then just do him a favour and ban him from the UK for the rest of the season. I assume his Visa will be fine without an employer or sponsor in the UK? It's a terrible indictment of how far we've fallen that a bang average 27yo, riding in the Polish 2nd division, can mess around one of our top flight clubs like this. Laguta was bad enough. Ben Cook? Dear me. Makes you wonder how much Leszno are paying him to allow him to ditch Britain at the first sign of a bit of success. Too much it would appear. He was happy enough committing to Britain while he was a decent Championship rider. You can make the argument that this seems to happen a lot to Kings Lynn, but in their defence, what can you do when riders behave like this?7 points

Or maybe the bspl grow a pair and actually make a decision with British fans in mind and force kings Lynn to sign someone who actually wants to ride in British speedway7 points

The FIM won’t do anything, they need the Poles & their money to prop the GPs up. In all honesty anywhere other than Poland & the sport is in deep trouble.5 points

One excuse after another for Cook. I believe he went missing at the start of the season due to testing at tracks. Weird whenever he has a illness last for at least 2-3 weeks. Didn't he just have Covid that lasted a month. Oxford need to cut their ties with him he has let every club down Premiership or Championship. There can’t be many club left for him to go now. He even had Workington on his doorstep and managed to mess that up. Time to retire obviously not taking this seriously and having the pants down of both promotions and fans.4 points

What an absolute pisstake from Cook. As Dean said, get rid, cancel visa and inform immigration he hasn't been committing to what he was signed up for . Riders taking the piss out of British Speedway is one of if not the main reason for its huge decline. That is a absolute bollocks Cook saying he can ride Polish tracks but not British ones. Laughable that anyone would even remotely consider falling for such rubbish. Ban him from British Speedway for 12 months then when his Polish form in 2026 drops off and they bin him he will soon regret it.4 points

Crazy to say it considering how good they’ve been, but we no longer have the top end strength away from home. Still fine at Foxhall, but the top two have consistently disappointed away from home this year. Age and injury catching up with them I’m afraid. Fair play to Kings Lynn. 8 points down that was a superb fight back and fully deserved win.3 points

That’s because the people who run polish speedway are woke tossers and wouldn’t know a good time if they tripped over it, if I was there I would of loved it, I don’t care about the delay, every team should be encouraged to do it, it’s passion and it’s fantastic and I only wish we had it here, loved it at Birmingham v Ipswich when one polish fan had a flare and loved it when they had them at belle vue and Phil morris lost his rubbish, love seeing woke tossers getting there arse handed to them3 points

FIM should step in and ban riders in situations like this3 points

Why do you keep bringing these things up, Everything must be ok behind the scenes ,as they would have not been allowed to restart. the comets have survived "the issue" put it to bed and get behind the comets, get through this season and hopefully a bright future UTC3 points

So Lynn have known for a while no doubt that Cook won't be riding, and still come up with Lambert. You are right it's a lazy guest booking,it's just to easy to ask someone who is on speed dial at Lynn than to actually try and do some work to get someone in who may do a job.3 points
-
By your logic that’s not how it works. My opinions are irrelevant. Im sure you aren't going to take into consideration my thoughts ? So your question is of no revelance.3 points

Even a panic attack can cause a high heart rate. I remember Peter Karlsson who rode for the Comets at the time having tachycardia at one meeting. It was eventually put down to him having drunk 6 tins of Red Bull 🤣2 points

Great ride from Tungate to keep Holder behind... Charles Wright having a vape in the pits... Is that allowed in a stadium?2 points

And a part of that trouble is caused by Poland doing as they please without being reigned in by the FIM2 points

Maybe all tracks should be like Ippo and Plymouth, I beg to differ theres no skill on bigger tracks, against KL there was some very good team riding not easy on a track with so many lines to negotiate and protect, faster speeds more split second decisions have to be made quicker, fact is there is room to race. People complain about no passing then we get complaints when a track actually does provide passing We had Hyde Road widely regarded as the best track in the world, then Kirky lane where we saw riders who raced on the big open spaces were able to adapt to the smaller track. When the NSS was first announced many fans poured cold water on it saying it would never happen and those people have been nothing but negative about it since, you are not included in that by the way. I agree with you its each to his own i would prefer what we have to what Monmore was or Plymouth is with respect to Plymouth. As for tonight i always feel Leicester should be giving us a run for our money as they have riders that can certainly ride the track but they have never really shown that, they are due a good meeting here, as always i just hope to see good racing but no track can ever provide spectacular racing every meeting whether that be BV, Ippo, KL, etc.2 points

I hear as part of the revamp for British speedway the bspl are launching a new bingo type game tonight live on air called guess the cook excuse tonight, we will all be encouraged to buy a bingo card for the price of an admission ticket at whatever track a cook is riding at and if we have the excuse on our cards we get the first prize of being a complete gullible fool2 points

To avoid a long discussion around what you believe is allowed across league matches between UK and foreign leagues... How about competing in individual events in between UK league fixtures and missing them both? Do they count or is that ok?2 points
-
Cook needs to pack up now, obviously he's not comitted to racing anymore.2 points

Too many passes.... Amazingly Hyde Rd had the same issue where riders could pass outside and inside... The last thing you need is someone flying around the outside, scraping the fence to pass an opponent like both Kurtz and Bewley do, (and Fricke also).. Hopefully Will Cairns goes through his career using "track craft" and ignores all that nonsense...2 points

Craig Cook had to go to hospital last night with a very high heart rate. Antti Vuolas will replace him at No 4. That's another excuse added to the British Speedway Absent Excuse Bingo.2 points

Until this country builds its operating model to not depend on so few riders, then the riders will always hold all the cards... And. Banning them isn't an answer, given they are so needed, and still have their, by far, major income from elsewhere to fall back on.. And it just means more Mickey Mouse guestfests... And. As Poland head towards the play offs it could be even beneficial for their riders to actually get banned over here!!! So, banning isn't much of a deterrent is it? The BSP have certainly put themselves into a position with very little to bargain with during any negotiations...2 points

Ben Cook is a very nice guy and very popular at Poole. I cant see him losing his visa or not riding later in the season especially when the polish season has finished whether that is for KL or elsewhere. He would be welcomed back at Poole anytime.2 points

id say the same for cook not a whole lot of difference imo dont really blame the riders poland have the power so might be time for the uk to change rather than ban people2 points

Laguta would’ve spoke to Woffinden, Bewley and Janowski about the KL track prior to signing…so that can’t be used as an excuse. Plus he actually attended for most of the home meetings, it was just the away ones he ditched Tarasenko would’ve spoke with uncle Laguta prior to signing, rode it in 2023 (scoring 8+1), and obviously Rob was Pboro team manager in 23 and KL manager in 24, so would’ve known all about the track Cook has done enough laps around King’s Lynn (as an Ace and as a Panther), as well as guesting numerous times in 24. Always seemed to go well round it Musielak it’s probably his best track in the UK, especially as an away rider. It’s definitely not the surface that is the issue, it’s either the riders riding it, or the Club/promotion in general. I’ll stick by Lynn through thick and thin, but the common denominator here is that the Club/promotion is the issue - and the lack of transparency around why riders leave has to be questioned, if not by fans then Phil Morris2 points

Don’t agree with all of what you say A rider has to make a comeback somewhere and I don’t care if that’s his polish swedish or English club it’s irrelevant What is wrong is when they comeback for their polish club…. Miss the uk matches but ride again in Poland2 points
-
But it doesn’t happen to other clubs, that’s the issue. Look at the riders everyone else has that ride in the top 2 divisions in Poland and ask yourself the question does the same thing happen? Belle Vue Kurtz & Bewley - Wroclaw Lidsey - Grudziadz Blodorn - Poznan Birmingham Musielak - Krosno Zagar - Tarnow Rew - Rzeszow Ipswich Sayfutdinov - Torun Doyle - Czestochowa Brennan - Bydgoszcz Leicester Fricke - Grudziadz Douglas - Poznan Becker - Ostrow Oxford Janowski - Wroclaw Tungate - Rybnik Sheffield J Holder - Lublin C Holder - Rybnik Pickering - Leszno Rowe - Ostrow2 points

The BSP have put themselves into a position where they are painted into a (very small) corner.... On here we have fans from track after track saying "we need replacements" yet the reality is very, very few riders want to come and ride over here.. The reputation of the tracks being part of the lack of enthusiasm, (bloody throttle jockey's eh?), and many simply don't want to take on extra work given lots do Poland, Sweden and their own country already.. Hence the teams start with the riders who do wish to ride over here, with very few interested others.. So, instead of doing the logical thing and reducing team places to create some spare riders, or running with less teams in each league, and keeping Div 3 at a decent level to accommodate those clubs incapable of competing at Div 2 level... They fudged around, making do and mending, having almost everyone doubling up, running leagues with teams completely out of their depth using up rider resource, but also allowing teams to ride in leagues below their organic status just so they could be a big fish in a small pond.. They did all that rather than building a set long term clear vision for the sport, where they were self sufficient, with clear demarcation between the leagues, and organic progressional growth for both teams and riders.... Instead of relying on the crumbs dropped from the Polish table... Like so many issues facing the sport today, all this was called out well over a decade ago on here and in Speedway publications, yet, as always seems to be the case, no one in the BSP saw any issues whatsoever, so just carried on as always... I don't blame the riders given the pressure they are under from their other employer who pays them between five and ten times more, as logically we would all do the same... It's the reliance on these riders that should have been sorted out, a long time ago...2 points

as a fan, cannot see this any other way than a complete and utter disregard for British speedway and us the paying fans. You are either fit to ride or you aren't, no matter what Country.2 points
