First visit down to new Worky and really enjoyed it, great wee set up and clearly a lot of love and hard work has gone into it, congratulations. The dust was the worst I have encountered since the days of Newport but once I got myself to the 3rd bend all was good. I thought the racing was excellent, no idea what some of the maniacs on here are moaning about. Well done Worky, bad day at the office for our boys, it happens!6 points

Shame I never saw you yesterday, haven't seen you since the Derwent Park days . Look yesterday was one of those days , it happens, Workington were better than us on the day . We still have much to look forward to , beat Edinburgh on Friday and we finish top . But we need to gate much better on Wednesday to have any chance of overcoming Poole in the KO Cup .5 points

First trip to Workington’s new home, great venue, really impressed its definitely got room for growth. As for today’s racing it was really hampered by an ultra slick powdery surface which the water just couldn’t adhere to and soak in so was simply back to being dry and dusty in minutes. The inside line was the place to be for the vast majority of races. Impressive performances from Fraser Bowes and Anti Voulas, with good back up from Jye Etheridge and Jacob Hook. As for Glasgow the just couldn’t get out of the gate, Kyle Howarth was always there or thereabouts in his 5 races resulting in winning ht15 and spoiling the two home riders maximum hopes. It'll have been said before but sure this venue would benefit from floodlights and have evening meetings under lights where the moisture will start coming up naturally rather than battling with the heat and wind during the afternoon meetings, but it’s a track I’ll come back to again5 points

Again another great night at Plymouth and another big crowd who loved every moment. The crowds are getting bigger and it’s consistent, it really is rising in popularity in Plymouth and the work the media team, Barry and mark have done is incredible. not sure how to post videos from Facebook on to here but there is a brilliant one summarising the evening and it really engages with the locals. Also the touch of added brilliance of the fire work display really added to the event. I feel like Plymouth could be a team to watch next year 👀4 points

I did comment on Kings Lynn so Premiership related. Morris has done pretty much zero as far as I can see to help with anything.3 points

I think Nicolai is deserving of a testimonial for his commitment to this country. Albeit, he's not served 10 years at a single club, he has given 17 years to this country. Also, his commitment to Kings Lynn, as it probably is for any club he rides for, is deserving. He has earned the Captains armband, for his presence both when things are going well, but also he's not afraid to front up when the team, or even himself, have had a bad night. For 2026, would I take him back? Yes i would. Those awful Witches look like they will be in or around winning the title, and these are the starting and current rolling averages. Jason Doyle 9.36 8.42 Emil Sajfutdinow 9.12 8.38 Tom Brennan 6.52 7.09 Danny King 6.14 6.64 Adam Ellis 5.47 5.88 Dan Thompson 3.11 5.42 For Nicolai to be effective, he needs to have a top 2 above him, dare I say a Lambert and Kvech, a couple of riders to take the pressure off him. He can then Captain and ride with freedom, and I can still honestly see him putting something on his current 6.42. We need 3/4 riders who will improve from 2025 to 2026, and a number 1, whoever that may be. A strong number 6 has worked to an extent this season, and maybe a fit Ben Cook would still see us challenging for a PO spot, but I don't think we are that far away.3 points

Good track or bad track ? Tiggers only had 3 heat winners can't win a meeting without winning heats !! Well done to the comets did not see that result coming, think their was several passes throughout the meeting, thanks for the Tigger fans for coming down, the better team won on the day . we produce some strange results through the year, if Godfrey and co did not pinch 2 points off us, we could be on the edge of the play offs. Whatever UTC 😄3 points

Sometimes you remember the stupid things that happen, as a Canterbury supporter four very stupid memories come back. when the supporters on the coach had a whip round to buy Mike Ferreria from Coatbridge so he could ride that night. The time the coach driver was declared as our number 8 at Berwick so we didn't get a fine for not having enough riders, An injured Bob Spelta shouting abuse at fellow Ausies at Crayford and a Crayford supporter telling him he should try riding if he thought he could do better, with Bob pointing out he got ten points last time he was there. But the highlight must be the time Barry Thomas started his bike in the back of the coach full of supporters while on the motorway on the way to an away match. Frightened the life out of everyone including the driver. Good times.2 points

I have posted similar on this forum before, only to be shot down by those 'in the know' that. Throttles never stick, cut outs always work, it's no risk. Despite the rule book stating the lanyard must be attached whilst the motor is running. It is, after all only a rule2 points

Surely Mr Morris put a stop to all this kind of farce, when he became the head of all things good in uk speedway.2 points

A real shame to be shutting down with over 2 months of the season still to go then 🤷♂️2 points

Hopefully Ellis is ok. We’ll find out when the Sheffield preview drops on Tuesday. If he ends up missing the play offs, then Rew has to come in to the equation surely? Average fits, and he still feels like a Witches rider so more palatable than someone else. After a slow first half of the season, he’s ridden in to good form the last third of the season also.2 points

far less satisfying though when you doctor your home track to do it far better to give everybody a decent surface and may the vbest team win2 points

We do need to get a grip on the dust, it's not acceptable to paying fans or a good selling point when trying to recruit new fans. You should be able to watch from were you wish without getting covered end of.2 points

I would just like to say thank you to all the Tigers fans who made the journey to Worky today, you guys are a credit to not only Glasgow Tigers but speedway in general.👌2 points

No complaints Workington the better team on the day by a considerable distance. Bad day at the office it happens I am sure we will bounce back. well done to Workington rode the track well.2 points
-
No, I'm saying the track is the same for both teams, as a neutral I've seen better and I've seen worse, if you're blaming the track for the Tigers performance you're way off the mark my friend.2 points

BSN is a commercial enterprise independent of BSPL/SCB and they don’t have the right let alone the power to fine anyone. The fight should have boosted their business and they will be grateful for it. I suspect the ruling bodies will see it differently as they seem to have lost sight of what constitutes entertainment.2 points

Tbf I tend to waffle and lose track but in what way have I talked my way out of a job? Pretty sure what I’ve said was correct, and I include myself in that category, the club does need to change its attitude. Imagine my job with Ryan is reasonably safe so at least I have that to fall back on.2 points

We have started this page to support Scunthorpe Scorpion Jake Allen, who during one of his last league fixtures of the season, experienced a series of unfortunate events leaving him with only one salvageable bike going into his remaining fixtures. During his first ride an engine was blown therefore leading him to race on his second bike. In his second a crash caused him to lose the vast majority of his second bike including front wheel, diamond, handle bar and both guards. There was also damage to his forks and helmet. The costs are yet to be determined but are estimated to be £1,500. Jake wanted to publicly thank those who approached him Friday to offer their support, have sent messages since and Colin Poole for his support in piecing together his bent and broken frames since Friday’s fixture. Fundraiser by Dan Palmer : Help get Jake Allen back on track!1 point

If that’s the extent of there fight they wouldn’t last 30 Seconds on a Saturday night in Glasgow city centre. They would probably be someone’s bitches by now if they fought like that.1 point

Read what I said - It was my first meeting I'd seen at Northside. I've been to God knows how many meetings since I saw my first speedway meeting at Barrow in 1973.1 point

Bewley and Kurtz must be frustrated about this meeting, finish about 22:00 Polish time and racing at Belle Vue at 12:00 tomorrow 🥱1 point

Rubbish, Was not close, was not side by side, Wright had no reason to have throttle open as they crossed the line and definitely not after the line. Was upset because he got beat and wrote off Jake Allens bike.1 point

Mark Thorpe if I remember correctly... I was there that night. All these rules are there for a reason, probably insurance related (?) and if they're not adhered to they probably wouldn't pay out.1 point

Yeah, its been a long time Paul! Hopefully catch up next season 🤞 I was lucky enough to be in hospitality yesterday so avoided the dust on 1 & 2 😬 Got to watch hts 12 & 13 from the centre green, great battle between Dan and Tate 👍1 point

How many more times am i going to write this. If any of the 4 qualifiers from the Challenge final qualify by finishing in the GP top 7 then the next in line will qualify for the GP series. If the winner of the SEC comp has qualified for 2026 by finishing in the GP top 7 or the top 4 in the Challenge then the FIM/WBD get an extra pick( 4 not 3)1 point

And by pretty well any metric he's the best under 21 rider in the world bar Przyjemski. And he's still got a couple of more years as an under 21 rider1 point

I'm a neutral - that was my first meeting I've seen at Northside - I'll be back. End of.....1 point

I was a neutral today and enjoy going to both tracks. The Workington track has the potential to be one of the best in the country but 1 pass in the first 10 heats was poor and wasn’t great last week either. The racing in the last 5 heats were brilliant especially Jacob Hook who went round the outside of bomber. Bomber looked slow today. As for all the Glasgow fans mentioning Facenna and their wonderful track they must have short memories from the pre Facenna days and the tight Ashfield. Unless someone has a million quid to lose some teams are unable to change shape of their track etc.1 point

Immaterial to me I want to see a good racetrack for both teams to use.1 point

Wouldn’t read too much into this today we didn’t perform as we can or have done. Track was the same for both teams we were just beaten by the better team on the day, it happens and we move on.1 point

BSPL are clearly doing what they are expected to do -- promoting, 'acting in the best interests of the sport' by posting the fight as entertainment Referee reported both riders to SCB, who will doubtless take action in due course, penalising the riders for 'bringing the sport into disrepute' Two separate organisations1 point
