Buxton have now released an official statement. Connor Coles was airlifted to hospital after extensive medical treatment at the track. This involved medics administering pain relief before placing him into a medically induced coma due to a head injury. He has been slowly making slight improvements but the current state of his brain injury is unknown. Let's keep Connor in our thoughts and pray for a full recovery. š8 points

Ben Barker posted on Facebook yesterday evening that he still hasnāt heard from Rob Godfrey and if he doesnāt hear back in the next few days he will be whistleblowing and lifting the lid on other issues.5 points

We informed the insurance company that Luke races a speedway bike . The insurance we have covers his loss of earnings from his actual job as a scaffolder which he does everyday except for the day he is racing or if he has a busy schedule when bikes need to be prepped. Not sure if the cover would be the same if speedway was the only source of income3 points

So KO cup this weekend with the long haul to Plymouth for both teams on Saturday. Been a long time since Glasgow have done well in this cup. Friday and Saturday we are without Mario and Leon as both on SEC qualifier duties. Guests or guest and r/r required. Mario not at Plymouth is probably a bonus after his exploits at Armadale but Leon is definitely a huge miss for both legs. I hope Cammy has some reliable guests booked. We seemed to have problems with guests last year underperforming. Plymouth have a strong team this year and it will be tough to overcome them over the 2 legs. No tac subs allowed and our reserves are not on form yet.2 points

And then his heat 13 ride was a true thing of beauty2 points

I am already concerned about HAUSL, 3 poor meetings, i know Armadump is not a great start to your racing, but Ashfield he was off the pace.We cant have riders not performing like last year, our reserves are slightly better, but must improve. Has Cami 'Useless' Brown got the the Balls to change this before this drags on through the season. 5 point riders are hard to come by, but there must be options in Scandinavia, surely the Management team are already considering changes.amd that includes Brown, his days must be numbered. The Facennas must bury the hatchet and bring back Stewart Dickson for next season.2 points

Absolutely - I've been saying the same for years. Noise, colour, fun, interviews, even spot prizes - so many things that could keep fans involved and engaged throughout.2 points

Late to the party on this one but I just have to say what a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday night that was. The Tiggers fans appeared in their hundreds and hats off to them for the large travelling support, probably assuming theyād walk away with a full compliment of points. However the Bandits were defiant with every one of the 6 on show doing their job and then some. A special shout out to Reid Battye for the most impressive home debut Iāve ever seen, he is something special. A massive well done to the promotion and especially Dick Barrie for ensuring we secured the services of this talented guy.2 points

A lot of pressure on the reserves. A successful team needs riders to improve their averages. Chris and Kyle are unlikely to but Leon certainly will converting BPs for finishing behind Dan T into actuals. KJP looks likely too but will run up BPs - 5+3 is a good score but it's still only 5 points. Mario is likely to be a project, so we really need Freddy and Sam to score well and Cami needs to be decisive in splitting their rides into five and three when necessary.2 points

Says an Ipswich fan š Quality racing right up until Heat 15 tonight, when Luke Killeen belted around Danny King. Terrific ride by Nicholls in Heat 13. He'd do that for you too if you gave him a decent track to ride on!1 point

We received an email regarding an uplift in the cost of our licence which we queried and were told it was as the emailed stated for insurance purposes the uplift was duly paid. previously he had ridden on a pounds for points contract which included insurance no visible deductions were made from his wage the personal cover was assumed to be in the contract but we felt this had been transferred to the ACU with the uplift on the cost of licence dont know about previous coverage as we never claimed and the coverage taken covers his losses as a scaffolder not as a speedway rider as scaffolding is his primary source of income . Speedway is a paid hobby at his level covering its cost with the aid of our wonderful sponsors. i don't mind telling people what I know from our point of view but everyone has different circumstances and our experience could be a different one too others1 point

Neither Awful track. Plumes of dust on parade and a blue groove by heat 4. Itās April not August with 90 degree temperatures. Some good racing nonetheless but on a properly prepared track it could be so much better.1 point

Donāt like too knock Sam as he got tough gig at Berwick last season, but he inconsistent and canāt gate.As for U21 champ we all know itās about the Final he certainly was not the best rider throughout the meeting, thatās not his problem though.1 point
-
Sam wasnāt great as a bandit either but he was forced into the main body of the team. The lad has talent you donāt end up 2x under 21 British champ for nothing. We all complain about a lack of British riders. Then as soon as a young British rider isnāt the next Bewley we moan about that.1 point

First 2 seasons of watching BSN through the tv browser, no issue whatsoever. Last year, constant problems with the event freezing through the TV browser (Sony TV, TV Bro app), although there was never an issue when watching reruns through the tv browser, only live meetings. For rest of the season continued watching with the laptop connected to the TV and no issues at all. This season i have used the Amazon Silk browser through the firestick and so far on the 2 meetings broadcast, not a single hitch or glitch.1 point

Didnāt know Flint and Hausl were missing this weekend. Nightmare, especially Flint from a form perspective, but even Hausl in terms of getting track time. Hopefully those qualifiers are on a familiar track and a confidence boost for him, but missing an opportunity to gain exposure on another UK track isnāt ideal. Big meeting for Hagon and Hodder, I think. A disappointing night at Berwick on Saturday, so time for redemption.1 point
-
Why ? Him and Leon Flint are still relative youngsters both ride in Poland.- suppose Kemp might also be in that category. Edit just read that Dan Thompson is the other reserve- also rides in Poland.1 point

Clearly haven't planned the fixtures very well, which is ridiculous when you realise how few matches they race these days.1 point

Not too sure, a Facebook comment came from Andy Harrison, probably Luke's dad š1 point

Donāt think many UK tracks will suit Mario just now.Though if you saw him in Heat 1 at Berwick you thought he was going to have a decent night, but was terrible the rest of the meeting.5pt av will be difficult to achieve unless he really gets the hang of Ashfield.IMO1 point

This guest situation is the reason a lot of fans can just give a meeting a miss.KO Cup with main man missing is not ideal.Think I saw somewhere that Nick Morris is guesting on Friday.1 point

I canāt see them axing him this quickly but we have to be honest itās been a very disappointing start from him. Wouldnāt mind so much if weāre seeing the effort without getting the results, but where is the entertaining fence scraper busting a gut to reel people in? Itās bizarre how far away from that type of rider heās looked.1 point

If anyone wants to sign Jeppesen, they need to do it before his average goes up in May, his converted ave for May is set to be 5.65, in April he's available on 4.34!1 point

Plymouth are going to be doing a behind the scenes documentary that on the face of the preview looks really good and likely to give a real good insight to speedway both with Plymouth and the wider British speedway. could be a game changer for the sport if used and marketed correctly from people other than just Plymouth.1 point
-
It's because it's not the racing which attracts the numbers, nor is it cost alone. People need to feel they get value for money and have a good time when there. Not stand around disengaged - it's engagement which is key.1 point

Which just proves the BSPL is not fit for purpose, and the sooner the old die hards are removed the better.1 point

You could do Oxford with relative ease, trains more or less to and from Marylebone, journey approx 80 mins and Paddington journey approx 55 mins. Trains run every 15 minutes give or take a minute or two. Trains to London run till 23:15 - 23:30. Get a 1 or 5 bus from outside the station which will take you to a stop, Longlands Rd which is about a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Buses run every 5-10 minutes. NDL meeting on sunday 26th April Chargers vs Middlesborough 3pm start, weather etc permitting, so you could see how easy the journey is with a lot more leeway for getting back to London.1 point
