  2. Speedy recovery Dan.One of the most likeable riders about in this era.Always enjoy watching him race. Was really looking forward to watching him race at the NSS in the Gps in a couple of weeks time. Good luck in your recovery, hope to see you back on a bike soon.

  3. Dan Bewley is one of the few riders I’d of gone out my way to watch when Peterborough was running. Such a shame for the GP series as well which currently has few stars. Fingers crossed for a full recovery.

  5. Yep. No killer, blodorn or bewley against our rivals but we could have....

  6. Gutted for Dan Bewley but if Mark Lemon is able to find a replacement #1 for him the question will be asked of why he couldn't do it for the Foxes...

  7. devastated for the lad, will be a big miss in speedway for all fans round the world, he is one of the few real entertainers in speedway. Hope he makes a full and healthy recovery,

  8. Wroclaw will probably chuck a truck load of money at his recovery 💰

  9. You do know who @crescent girl is, don’t you? You’ll get into real trouble for attacking speedway’s equivalent of a national treasure

  10. I have just phoned HBO Max to complain that the SON 2 meeting even though i know they are showing it tomorrow is not on their schedule. This is exactly the same as the SWC Semi in Landshut on May 1st which didn’t appear on the schedule until the programme started. I find this unacceptable and hopefully will post the answer i get.

  11. Put them all on ignore... And hope no one quotes any of them!!! When he comes back with another name, within one post, it is always very obvious who it is...

  12. echoe what everyone is saying, gutted for dan and belle vue, femur could mean season ending, but he does say its a clean break so hopefully he could return before end of season, although i doubt it. selfishly we have to discuss what belle vue do now, one thing for sure is whatever lemo does, its not dan bewley so already hes onto a loss. we are built for our top 2 scoring 26 plus points per meeting, R/R will not cover that, guests wont cover that. there is not 1 rider interested in coming to UK now so i really cant see us being able to tempt a lambert or emil over, so im guessing he might need to sacrifice some others and re-build the team from scratch. this is speedway, so i wont rule out lidsey being sacked from northampton and belle vue picking him up as dans replacement

  14. He fell, quickly picked his bike up and got to the infield wth the leaders more than half a lap away. Then the ref put the red lights on! Absolutely no need to do so. As it turned out it was the only bit of luck that went the Lions way. Congrats Foxes on your first win. Well deserved .

  15. Wow,, well done foxes, a last heat decider for the win,,, if only I would have thought of that

  16. Kurtz won 5 GPs in a row last year and still didn’t win it, after a poor first round and two riders Bewley and Lindgren being out that could take points of Bartosz, like you said…it’s already done and dusted.

  17. Lindsey’s home average is 4.44 (10 from 9 rides) and Klindt 2.28 (4 from 7 rides) which is where the problem is

  20. I think it's over riding that makes the mistakes, trying to hard to score points little mistakes turn into bigger ones then these turn into accidents, hope the guy recovers from his injury

  21. Plus he is a crowd puller away from home, which won't help attendances... Certainly has shown more "edge" to his racing this season, so, bloody typical such a thing happens when he is riding in the best form of his career... Who Wroclaw replace him with is going to be some question to answer. Can their top four take his rides?. If so Kurtz, Laguta, Janowski and Kowalski probably covers at home, but not sure away... I presume the Aces will use "horses for courses" guests?. They should have plenty to choose from.. Best Wishes to Dan, and hopefully back before the season end..

  22. Maybe the two clubs could combine their riders into a single squad and make team selections on a match by match basis? "Best commercial interests" and all that.

  23. Lots of shale and water won't work on a bumpy old track. Bumps a grip don't mix well

  26. See the problem with this philosophy is that he's got some many accounts. You see a post from him and ignore it and scroll past to the next post. You start to read it, and then realise it's also from him. You scroll past that one and on to the next post. Start reading it, and then realise it's also from him. Repeat the last sentence a few times. In other words, it's very hard to just scroll past his posts and ignore them when he's using so many accounts. And I'm sure there will probably be more to come.

  27. Gutted for Dan he had really stepped up this season and this is so cruel after such an impressive start to the season, irreplaceable, most important thing is to regain full fitness. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

  28. I would suggest it would mean circa 75% of all meetings that currently get called off either before the day, or on the day, would actually get ran... No earnings would certainly focus attention... As would no chance of a home victory...

  29. Fraser reports a punctured lung, blood on the lung and back spasms. Such a shame when he was going well on the 'new' engine. Get well soon.

  30. What a blow I do hope Dan makes a full recovery he will be missed in the GP'S without a doubt .
    2 points
  31. Absolutely. No blame there that I can see. He continued to ride so why would he need medical documentation? The rule is bonkers, obviously somebody has pulled a fast one at sone point and spoiled it for everyone else. Some common sense could surely be applied as he has missed four meetings!

  32. And Klindt still at Number 5... You have to wonder about Chris Adams, the apple seems to have fallen from the tree and rolled off down the road and into a different county 🤔

  33. He wasn't tonight... but he's had some shockers in the past, some of these new intake of refs are getting the basics wrong though 🤷‍♂️

  34. And, short term, could possibly be cost neutral...? Another 1000 at £25 could possibly cover his wages for two meetings, home and away?.. He won't be on wages in Sweden anything like he is in Poland, so £25k for two matches must be there, or thereabouts... He would certainly generate some local interest, media wise.... Start at the top, and work down... Artem next after BZ... (As long as he doesn't have food poisoning)..

  40. Reading Ashton Boughen's interview in the Speedway Star, it sounds like we'll see him back in the sport sooner rather than later. Definitely sounds like a case of 'taking a break' as opposed to 'retired'. "I've still got my speedway bikes. I might go back, it depends how the flat track goes. So far, so good" and "I knew I had to have a break, but I don't regret it....I can always go back"

  41. Only Fricke & Holder would make a suitable guest replacements from those riding in the UK.

  42. Pretty sure they won’t do that. Huckenbeck will just come in for this GP and future GP’s they will just work down the reserve list.

  43. Pity the track team didn't spot/sort the bump on turn one sooner, or even before the meeting started. Various riders including Lawson had issues before Fraser. Prior to the off Bowes was showing his doubters (mainly it seems from Workington) what he is capable of. I can see the potential, even if they can't, here's to a speedy recovery. Good well deserved result, Master's really is far more flaky than the hype suggests, fast if he gates sure but doesn't like to mix it.

  44. “At Oxford on Wednesday 13th May despite Cooper being involved in 2 incidents on track, he continued to ride and was not withdrawn from the meeting or received any medical documentation from the Oxford medical team.” “So having not received any medical documentation from Oxford on the Wednesday” These two parts do come across as If he’s putting some form of blame on them, but it’s not on Oxford medical team to withdraw him if he’s chosen to continue to ride. It’s also on him if he’s not went and got a document signed by the doctor at the end of the night to say he had received an injury during the meeting. So really it’s his own fault, even though the rule is a bit daft in situations like this.

  46. I'm partial to a jokey post myself now and again and I could quite happily scroll on by and not interact with any posts from any individual user I didn't want to interact with... but, when you have a single user quite clearly using different accounts @Whitelinehugger @rearingtogo @TapesRup @Youhave2minutes and they're replying to their own posts and literally flooding every damn topic on the forum! That is something quite different. There are clear forum guidelines and this fellow is in breach of them: "Trolls A troll is a contributor whose sole intent in posting is to be a disturbance to the community. Trolls may post excessively inflammatory or offensive messages with the intention of upsetting people, "flame" or insult, crash an appreciation thread to attack the subject being appreciated, or post the same message repeatedly on multiple boards to take up space and disrupt the forums. Posters engaging in this type of behaviour lose their rights of membership and will be removed." Sadly there is no moderator to enforce these forum rules. I've "ignored" all of those accounts now, which is a shame as occasionally they did post something worthy of discussion.

  47. Clearly they didn't want to get bashed and smashed by us! On a serious note the sport has feck all credibility left. Surely and yes I know it's not always accurate but presumably the Met Office will provide a much more accurate forecast for certain organisations. I'll wager a penny that fixtures will still be going on after the play off dates!

  49. Really it’s a compete joke and a farce Harris been given an opportunity while you’ve got Dan Thomson and Tom Brennan as meeting reserves. Two guys who should really be in the meeting. Harris just as bad accepting the gift.

  50. Update on former Berwick rider Connor Coles posted on social media today. Lovely news from Kirsty Coles about Connor A little update on Connor Connor has now been transferred from Stoke to Derby and has officially started neurological rehabilitation in a specialist centre. Although there is still a long recovery journey ahead, this week has brought some really positive steps forward. Connor is becoming much more aware and engaged, communicating more, remembering conversations and slowly getting more like himself each day. He is now eating food orally again with thickened drinks, has started rehab exercises including the exercise bike, and is walking short distances with support and a frame. Seeing these small milestones after everything he has been through has meant so much to us all. There are still many challenges ahead with speech, swallowing, fatigue and weakness down his left side, and recovery will take time, but we finally feel like Connor is taking important steps in the right direction. Thank you again to everyone for all the continued love, support, messages and kindness shown to Connor and our family
