For some reason he's the Presenter this evening, after Kileen locked up and fell causing Craig Cook to also come off there was a murmur in the crowd when Killeen was excluded... Blair comes on the mic asking the crowd if they think the ref has got the decision right, to roars, then asks if they think the ref should view a replay, again to roars, the ref then views a replay, decision unchanged. It's not the presenters job to incite the crowd, as the rules state.... I consider that the riders job, but they're too busy disappearing back to the pits as soon as every race is over.3 points

We’ve seen riders have career impacting injuries, wrong place, wrong time or dangerous opponent. It can’t be coincidence certain riders often end up on the sidelines virtually every season.3 points

Robert would be a great addition to Lynn on 7.61 or 7.81. Not so good for the Aces as we have the most work to do with having the highest total average and he would probably be reassessed for us 8.50-9.00. Be good to see him return to the UK.3 points

I always felt refs were and are fair, the thing about a refs call is it’s mostly subjective, it’s the way they see it and not everyone will agree but that’s ok, yes they make mistakes but mostly it’s just a subjective call so it will always be wrong in someone’s eyes, I always believed that if you had a 50/50 decision go against you the next time it happens the ref will give it in your favour, unless of course you gave them a piece of your mind then they might just remember that3 points

Could they just not rearrange the Cup Final? Maybe do a double header with the Jubilee Cup...?😜2 points

Well don’t be critical of what I do. Just keep off the thread.others post on here about what it was set up for you just want to slag the post off.not a nice thing to do to attack a newbie who is trying to enjoy the forum.2 points

That was very unfortunate and you know that.He lifted slightly and caught the back of Klindt and unfortunately he ended up over the fence.2 points

Was definitely yet another good meeting. Heat 15 was excellent. Niels has to be in with a shout of rider of the season. I doubted his inclusion at the start of the season but he's been worth his weight in gold. Anders deserved another ride as well I thought. A top 5 next season of lawson, Basso, kvech, klindt and iversen would be a match for most teams. If Robert was available, not sure which one I'd swap out. Add on Anders on his 25% reduction, plus an RS, we'd be sorted..2 points

It’s a fair enough thread open for discussion but as per usual ends up personal. Usually due to others forced preference. I remember the Ben & Ronnie feud well, in person. It did get too personal which escalated the altercation. I attended all of these meetings. Of course I was on Ronnie’s side as a biased Peterborough supporter, fully understand the opposition view. So here goes my opinion to the thread question, which will open up the floodgates again. Apart from the Boyce punch that seemed to calm Tomasz down I have to say NP is the most dangerous rider I’ve seen. Some of the moves he made were deliberately dangerous.2 points

He failed his concussion medical. Until he passes that he can’t ride.2 points

Tonight was pretty much a carbon copy, it was entertaining but I think Sheffield missed a trick as Leicester can still take top spot. The Crowd again looked dreadful.1 point

I think Belle Vue might want him back. Not sure that King went missing - it's more a case of counting the times he comes good ...1 point

Brennan for King in 2025 please the skipper went missing yet again!1 point

Nice post you have 2 minutes. I see you like holidays maybe you could have there is no internet. You are a total moron .And why dont you support a side. Maybe because you know nothing about speedway?1 point

Yes, which was the match I was expecting it to be as the British Speedway twitter account had published the revised screenings nearly 2 months earlier. It wasn't me that had a problem with it. 😉1 point

You should take less notice of forum tittle tattle. The people who actually go to Lynn and speak to the riders and management know the score.1 point

Michelsen has said that he has had a week of intense treatment and is hopeful of being right for Saturday.1 point

As I've said PR needs to be better, but the home team controls the media for their meetings and can dictate what is or isn't reported. I made the decision to go to Birmingham away the other week before Bewley got injured, him missing didn't change my mind, surely if you are going to support your team, a rider missing shouldn't alter that.1 point

Never once cast doubt on Brady's injuries. Not interested in what happened in a different century, I'm interested in the application of the rules in 2024. I'm questioning why Kurtz, Tungate & Lampart have not been suspended1 point

Wouldn’t take him on 2.00 but he will probably be there when he gets a Testimonial.1 point

Or the fact Richie and Chris realise the season is over and said to him it’s not worth pushing yourself if you aren’t ready and just focus on play offs and if you’re good enough Thursday then race.1 point

About time that you got rid of your bully boy tactics and stop coming onto the topic where others have posted their riders.1 point

Because Belle Vue and Lemon are responsible for information coming out about the Aces and meetings, the match report mentions Kurtz getting 8+1 despite struggling with injury. They could have added because he struggled despite given it a go whilst injured he has withdrawn from the second leg tonight at Sheffield and BV will be operating rider replacement. As I said it’s not difficult, I might have missed it but I haven’t read anything on the BV website recently about Kurtz being taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs after crashing in Poland, I am sure I will reminded if I have missed it, it’s certainly not mentioned in the BV match preview with Lemon at pains to stress the importance of the double header. This sort of news is relevant to supporters, it doesn’t have to go into any great detail but it’s interesting that most of the news surrounding riders and teams is found on this forum and not backed up by the official websites.1 point

Maybe Ipswich should have signed Artem Lagua in place of Danny King? Just thought I'd get that in before the usual suspect turns up and gives us the benefit of his particular brand of wisdom. 😄1 point

Yes definitely but that is one aspect f this sport that needs to seriously change as it continually annoys the core supporters, and having other websites providing information and results etc doesn’t absolve the clubs from doing it themselves. If the sport wants to improve its image it seriously needs to improve its information and integrity. Belle Vue would have known Kurtz wasn’t riding at Sheffield at the latest after they rode the first leg midday and probably much earlier, it’s deceiving the supporters and it’s about time this practice was ended. I did the PR and website news for a few years and posting results, basic news and scores takes minutes, finding out Kurtz wasn’t riding when they arrived at Sheffield is an absolute disgrace for supporters who have taken the time to travel and support their team.1 point

With riders receiving injuries, and some riders are choosing to ride abroad but are withholding services for their uk clubs what’s your opinion on the 28 day ban? I propose a strict sentence of a total U.K. ban to stop this from reoccurring. Your opinion on this issue would be much appreciated.1 point

Too many barriers... For the riders, to make it all pay, you will need to run 16 teams home and away twice.. That's 30 home meetings to fit in, (not a chance given they struggle now to end a season on time).. You would also need to run Mon to Sat so guestfest after guestfest would happen (even more than now!), as riders race in Poland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany... And trying to get promoters to "even up" teans fairly would be a huge task... The best I think you could manage is an 8 league "Elite" league which all the top riders race in, (one home snd away plus 4 team play offs),, and then a 16 team division where the eight elite teams run a second team, (home and away once with 8 team play offs), without riders who race in Poland, meaning an almost "semi pro" division similar to the NNL set up in the 80's, with a few "experienced" fully pro No1's.. With the bottom end of the team very much at development level, with two, 2 pointers at six and seven... (Or five and six if six rider teams are needed) .1 point

I agree, many don't. We're right, they're wrong1 point

If Poland always rule, the sport in this country is well and truly shafted. Whatever it takes we have to be able to run totally independent. Speedway racing can still be entertaining without top riders.1 point
-
Some riders can score just 3 points in Poland, (maybe even less?), and pick up the same as a max over here... They know who they need to listen to, and they do as they get asked/told... He who pays the piper etc, etc ..1 point

we daren't, there's a talent drain to Poland and there's f all we can do about it1 point
