  1. Back to a 4pm start this week. Richie Worrall guests for the Diamonds as we welcome the Cheetahs, headed by Scott Nicholls and Troy Batchelor, to Brough Park. There's also a welcome return of the popular ex-Diamond Kyle Newman.
  2. That's as maybe, but what about Justin Sedgmen??
  3. You could ride in as many leagues in different countries as you liked then, you are limited now.
  4. The main thing for us is the "Poland problem." Most riders above 8 want to do Poland, which rules us out of the equation before we start.
  5. Where does it say on this thread that BWD is riding (seeing as this is the thread for Sunday vs Edinburgh)? As I've said two post above yours, the line-ups for Sunday include Chris Harris at number one for the Diamonds.
  6. Line-ups (Taken off Facebook): Newcastle 1. Chris Harris (guest), 2. Matthew Wethers, 3. James Wright, 4. Max Clegg, 5. Paul Starke, 6. Lee Complin, 7. George Congreve Edinburgh 1. Sam Masters, 2. Lasse Fredriksen, 3. Paco Castagna, 4. Kye Thomson, 5. Josh Pickering, 6. Jacob Hook, 7. James Sarjeant
  7. Don't forget it's a 5.30pm start (gates open at 4.30pm) for this one, to avoid a clash with the football at St James Park.
  8. According to Glasgow's website, BWD rides at number one for the Diamonds: https://glasgowtigers.co.uk/cami-brown-new-approach-2022/ UPDATE: above is incorrect. R/R for BWD: Taken off Facebook: With the Diamonds' clash at Glasgow landing on a busy Good Friday schedule, it means of all the other Championship teams, only Plymouth are not racing, but Michael Palm-Toft, Ben Barker and Hans Andersen have other commitments already and cannot deputise, so after much searching the Diamonds will need to operate rider-replacement at the Glasgow Tigers on Friday.
  9. I will be delighted (ecstatic even) if we reach 35. It's a bit like when we used to go to Sheffield and celebrate scoring 30. Whoever rides at number 1 (providing we don't go with R/R) will improve things, obviously, but by how much remains to be seen. Anyway this is the Leicester v Newcastle thread, so best keep the Glasgow v Newcastle things to that thread.
  10. I'll be there on Friday, with at least one other (maybe two), thanks to a lottery win...... (£66 on the Hot Picks!!).
  11. There will be at least 2! Might be difficult, as Berwick are at Edinburgh on the same night!
  12. Yes. John Ellsbury, but I'm not sure if it's still for Ken Burnett's company T2TV.
  13. He hasn't got British parentage, I don't think. That's why he's on an assessed 4.00 average, rather than a 3.00.
  14. Line-up change for Diamonds. Ricky Wells guests at No 1 for the injured Bradley Wilson-Dean, who aggravated a shoulder injury last night.
  15. As far as I understand it, Congreve is not allowed to ride in the NDL.
  16. A doubt very much if any rider is on a guarantee.
  17. Dogs aren't allowed at Brough for Speedway meetings (at least they weren't) LOL
  18. Just the 31 points to make up for the Diamonds Hopefully it will be a decent meeting and the Diamonds can get out of the gate a wee bit quicker than some have been (this before the Leicester meeting on Sat night) in previous meetings. Probable line-ups: Diamonds: Bradley Wilson-Dean, Matthew Wethers, James Wright, Max Clegg, Paul Starke, Lee Complin, George Congreve. Bears: Charles Wright, Adam Roynon, Lewis Kerr, Kasper Andersen, Erik Riss, Jordan Jenkins, Tom Woolley.
  19. A bit late for the Redcar v Newcastle Tyne Tees Trophy match.
