Plymouth v Poole BSN, Sat 26/04/25
foreverblue replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I agree with most of your points, Kerr is not as good as Ben or Tom, I am sure he will be better than he has showed up to now but whether we can win with him in the team is very debatable. Rowe on the other hand has massive potential and has shown he is capable of putting at least a point on his average. -

Oh dear you have stirred him up again, some people just aren't worth responding to. It is tainting the whole idea of having some races in memory of a much loved ex rider. -

I did say it was probably just a bad night and I am sure he will be better next time. -

Exactly and all this debate on the few extra races that were in memory of a former rider is just crazy. I am not a Ipswich fan but I hope they win the league, getting unfair criticism for building a great team and some accusing their fans of arrogance is ridiculous especially considering how last season finished. -

A heat leader of Kerr's stature scoring 2 is awful, why not blame him, it was his fault, Why should he need to settle in? He has ridden all the tracks many times. I didn't say I did not want him, I said he was not a favourite of mine but while he rides for my team I will support him. He will come good I am sure, probably just an off night as he rode well for Sheffield the other day. I may have made a derogatory comment about Tom as at the time I felt he was doing too much and was obviously worn out. I was at Oxford that night so I may have commented, I cant remember but he certainly didnt let anyone down in the second leg so I expect Lewi will bounce back, better to have a bad night than get an injury or a re-occurrence of an old injury and he has had some bad ones. -

I think you can blame most of it on him, 2 points from your second best rider! Who do you blame then? -

No idea what was up with him tonight, rode well for Sheffield the other day. You know I am not a fan of his but he is meant to be a professional! -

Sheffield have overall strength now especially at reserve although Sedgeman maybe a concern, Kerr could be a great signing at reserve, Belle Vue have a definite weakness at reserve. -

I expect Doyle did not take part as he had a fall earlier in the meeting. -

It is what happens when the teams are mismatched. -
Poole Pirates Vs Plymouth Gladiators Bsn 23/4
foreverblue replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Zach seems to have gone up a level this season which is to our benefit and Belle Vue's. I agree Tobias was very impressive and now he has had a season he will be better at away tracks too. Apart from Marson I thought all the team looked good, didnt think Starke was great at Oxford but was better last night although against weaker opposition. -

Marson is a poor rider, we just have to cope with 6 riders at the moment and it was boring for some partly because the Pirates have a much better team, Plymouth looked poor and partly because we won which doesnt suit some peoples agenda. -
I doubt if the forecast is much different in either area and the NSS has far better drainage so I cant see why anyone would think they have a hidden agenda. It could be said having guests improve the team!

Yes he is a likeable lad and to be fair Gilkes only passed Starke but looked a great move at the time. I really thought at the start of last season Sam was a great signing for Poole but seemed to falter as the season progressed. -

He did make a great pass on the last bend in one race though.
