  1. That's what happens when ya go for a tinkle and come back and see rallycross on the screen.
  2. Have Freesport seriously cut off a live feed for a highlight programme
  3. Back in the day to today are very different out the starts. If today's engines ain't high revving they just die or there's to much grip and flip. As the engine's are so high revving you can't go from concrete to dirt. So dangerous. The only way to make a concrete start safer the the concrete would have to run right up to the first bend, then of course, rider run added risk if any crashes happen between the tapes and first bend. Concrete, tarmac etc is just not viable today. Best thing to do is not allow gardening at all, have a count down clock and only allow the starting grid to be accessible with 10secs remaining.
  4. Absolutely what the sport needs. The best times at King's Lynn was having Buster racing up to the referee box, ranting and raving, with his cloth out cleaning the glass etc. Added far more spice to the evening.
  5. Machines are too powerful for concrete starts also. Bikes more likely to flip from the starts when they go from concrete to dirt. Maybe go back to having pushers at the starts. Would cut costs on burnt out clutches
  6. Found the info. 2009 Premier League KOC - King's Lynn v Berwick. Topinka & Eklof are KL rider's, Franc & Clews Berwick rider's. Knew I didn't make it up.
  7. Unaware of that, must have been before I started going. They did have something similar a few of seasons ago when you could choose any gate, having both rider's on 1 & 2 etc. That was soon gotten rid of when teammates were taking each other out on the first turn.
  8. Yes, you can look into someone having an off night to much but the context of last night does have concern. We were leading the meeting with 3 heats remaining. Both Robert and Niels were in 2 of those remaining heats. Lambert came last in very important heats, not winning a single race all night. The kid (and he still is one) has been in SENSATIONAL form in 2018, my concern is he may have reached the point of 'burn out'. Who could blame him if he is running empty, the busiest season he's ever had. For me it's about context and to run lasts in the 2 most important heats of the meeting is plenty to worry about. Also though, on the plus side, maybe Iversen is about to click and ready to cover any of Lambert's poor form. Hopefully the whole team has enough rest time between now and the Play-Offs, then we go again.
  9. Agree totally, just the league championship has always gotten away from this club one way or another. I'm sure the management have made the rider's aware of the desperation this club has in winning a top league title. Any silverware would be great and fully deserving of this year.
  10. Maybe if any team is 6 or more behind the team manager can pick the gates he prefers the rider's to be on. No Tac Subs at all.
  11. On current form the Stars should win comfortably, all depending on what the priority is for the KO Cup.
  12. I know there's contradiction but the situations are different. As a whole the sport needs to be thrilling, wheel to wheel, handlebar bashing etc. It's everything we all crave as a spectacle and want it to happen week in week out. But, as a fan of the Stars, at this stage in the season, I really couldn't care less how we win these Play-Offs. We've never won the top flight title. If our home meetings were won 75-15 not a single home fan would care a jot, the focus for all is to simply see this club win the top flight title. It is the be all and end all. Yes, it's a contradiction, but at the end of the day the desperation for our club to finally be in the record books as league champions far outweigh the need for exciting meetings. That winning feeling will be exciting enough for all of us.
  13. Didn't go unnoticed, it didn't happen. Woffinden lifted, clipping the fence. No contact at all.
  14. What's said by Morris and Woffy, have the meeting on silent, watching 2 things at once.
  15. I've been highly critical of the King's Lynn track hence why I no longer attend. The racing their is already pretty processional even when slick. 2 or 3 good races just don't justify my £18. But, now the club is in the Play-Offs I think that this is a time any club has a right to prepare a track unfavourable to the away side. This is King's Lynn's best chance to win their FIRST EVER top flight league title. If King's Lynn can prepare a track to win their home meetings by 60+ I certainly would be very very happy in winning the league that way. As they say, the track is the same for both teams. If the away side can't cope with it, tough tittie. This is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for many many Stars fans.
  16. You just have to see recordings of races, no need to walk the track
  17. Totally agree. This stage of the season it's win at all costs mentality. Just has to be. Buster has to have the lads in for practice days and have the lads 'rolling in the deep'. To win the league you need to be a team and have a well rehearsed home advantage. Prepare the track and never alter it regardless of weather conditions. If there's bad weather, postpone the meeting, simple as that. Play every card to your advantage. This is King's Lynn's best chance for a long long time to change history.
  18. What he says vvvv No jealousy at all. Love watching racing at the NSS and if every track was the same in this country the sport should be in a far far greater position. But by my no means am I ever going to applaud or acknowledge Morton and the other one, Gordon wasn't it? Belle Vue would have gone bankrupt with them in charge. Also, wasn't it Morton who took no responsibility for the troubles and stabbed his partner in the back to save his own skin?? I love that stadium and the racing it produces but according to the current owners it's still running loses. If Belle Vue can't make ends meet with it's current stadium and quality of racing it delivers, there's nothing for any other clubs to get jealous about apart from putting themselves at serious financial risk.
  19. As long as it's only consultant and doesn't have any involvement in finances.
  20. Now we know why Doyle avoids heat 15's Well done Belle Vue, can't say I'm confident the Stars can do the job over 2 legs
  21. Very poor from Doyle. An easy 5-1 for the Rebels but Doyle decides to leave his team-mate behind. Doyle could be Somerset's main rival over 2 legs. To win the title you need to ride together.
  22. As I predicted, Belle Vue certainly ain't missing Bewley much. Plenty of decent cover for him in this team. King's Lynn will have to be at their very best to get past this team over 2 legs.
