  1. The kids summer holidays should almost be a festival of speedway, as many meetings should be crammed in as possible. As others have said having outstanding fixtures in the middle of September in a six team league is unforgivable. I don't know who but somebody needs to grab British speedway by the scruff of the neck and run it properly, it's a shambles.
  2. I'm not doubting you but this confuses me, when the track was reconstructed last year it was said that it was exactly the same dimensions as it was back in 1997 before closure, and then it was one of the widest tracks you could imagine.
  3. There we go. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
  4. Picking the ten best tracks capable of hosting one would be a great start. Get rid of Cardiff, Vojens, Teterow, Prague which are dire.
  5. I think its just another dig at Plymouth by this poster. Possibly started with a biased and bitter match report when Scunny lost there in 2021?
  6. I was referring to Play Offs, there is no doubt that in isolation they attract big crowds (probably the biggest) each year.
  7. It's not my cup of tea and personally I'd prefer the home team to get one point and the awy team two as I liked that system, however you could see the benefits of it last night and the excitement it added to the end of the meeting. Its not entirely dissimilar to Play Offs, they are more often than not exciting and dramatic but there's a strong argument that its not the fairest system. People are entitled to not like superheats or PO's but for a sport that is struggling anything which can make things more entertaining or attract bigger crowds can't be a bad thing in terms of the bigger picture. But I respect the traditionalists viewpoint too.
  8. Pretty sure I saw him go past somebody on the Eurosport clips.
  9. Good to see Jenkins scoring some good points too.
  10. Enjoyed that. Some good racing and ding dong scoring. Not a fan of the Superheat personally but it was a decent race.
  11. Quite enjoying it so far, there have been a few passes. Lambert has always been good at Peterborough. Impressed with Jenkins so far too. Great ride there from Basso.
  12. Both legs of the final last year were big old crowds, I went to Peterborough and the place was rammed. Two great meetings too. Not sure it's the Play Offs that are the issue, more the four months of dross which precede it.
  13. Nothing to do with Wednesdays and Denmark then? How good the Glasgow promotion an track are probably has something to do with it too, who wouldn't want to ride for them.
  14. Polish type then? Big, flat and slick? If so most of our lads just don't ride enough on that type of circuit, which would probably have been Wozniak and Kubera's argument at Glasgow the other week. Very difficult to rock up somewhere alien and be competitive.
  15. I'm talking about their original 1-7.....if they were lining up with a fully fit and available Kennett, Barker, Andersen, MPT, Gilkes, Bowtell and whichever signing replaced Atkins then it'd be some tie. Morley and and Complin and Coles are replacements for sure, but with all due respect to them not particularly adequate.
  16. Plymouth absolutely decimated by injuries and IMO they have no chance over two legs which is a great pity, would have been a great tie with full strength teams.
  17. Welcome to British Speedway, it has ever been thus unfortunately.
  18. It really doesn't though. Bears should go through looking at their reserves.
  19. You really need to grow up and stop playing games, if you want to actually say what you are alluding to then do it otherwise keep quiet.
  20. So...... Exceptional Panthers performance and Stars complacent? Average fiddling? A stage managed 'happiness is 46-44'? Answers on a postcard.....
