  1. Yep understand that but I'd have thought it'd be in their interests to try and sort something out as rain offs must do their heads in as much as all of us. I just can't get my head around there being so few fixtures on across all three leagues in the height of summer and then all the important stuff being crammed in during Sept and Oct when the weather can (and has) change dramatically.
  2. Why not get the Play Offs races before the end of August while kids aren't at school? Then use Sept and Oct for cup/trophy meetings.
  3. In addition you can't have a two legged tie where one team has more heats at home than the other.....for me meetings have to go the distance over two legs, same principle as removing tac subs in such matches.
  4. Depends really, if its the Prem in its current guise then agree but if its a bigger league (say eight teams) and half a dozen very good riders return to the UK then it would be a step up for for a club with lots of ambition.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if the series is Nilsson instead of Przedpelski and the other fourteen the same as this year.
  6. And the fixtures in the other two leagues have been even worse! Should have said relative inactivity, Edinburgh (and Poole) been far busier in the last couple of months.
  7. I think Leicester's inactivity over the past 6-7 weeks will bite them on the bum as it did in the cup, very hard to ride back into form once the rust has set in. Monarchs to score big tonight and finish the job tomorrow.
  8. It must be great to be skidder and live a perfect life never getting anything wrong. One presumes his occupation is professional nit picker.
  9. He's the master winder upper and you've just wandered straight into his trap....I'd suggest you stick him on ignore if you can't resist biting.
  10. Skidder either sh!t stirring or forgot to put his glasses on this morning.
  11. They and Scunny are all great tracks but the NSS is the best we have IMO, the dimensions are pretty much perfect and there are so many lines and so much room. Can't wait for the rumoured GP next year.
  12. The authorities oversee they sport, they produce the original fixture list. They need to ensure matches are ridden when the weather is at its best and kids are off school and that we go into the Play Offs without massive gaps preceding them. IMHO.
  13. Not the same as having regular meetings on your own muckheap though. I think Poole would probably have won anyway with everyone at full strength and having ridden regularly going into the Play Offs but it's not ideal for Leicester and Glasgow, fixtures need to be planned much better. Too many teams across all leagues have hardly ridden in August which is surely when you want to be having meetings!
  14. You say 'only' those two but they are key men in what's been a solid team so far. However I think their inactivity is going to be the issue, if we are going to have Play Offs then the authorities need to make sure everyone is up to speed going into them.
  15. Glasgow haven't raced at home since August 5th and have injuries, I think we all know how this will go. The lopsided fixture list has made a bit of a mockery of British speedway this year and needs sorting badly (amongst many other things)for 2023.
  16. Other than the races that Bewley was in I really enjoyed that, some proper close racing with no quarter asked or given. Can't wait to see a GP round there, what a track it is. Well done to Bewley but he was head and shoulders above the rest and bar conking out in the final it was never in doubt. Massive congrats to Brennan too who is a wonderful prospect.
  17. Leicester hadn't ridden at home since August 6th I see, that score smacks of rustiness although Poole are built to always keep the scores close away from home. Glasgow in a very similar boat for the Play Offs, puts teams at a massive disadvantage for key meetings.
