  1. Five-a-side speedway, that's a new one on me. Best wishes to all those injured.
  2. Spot on. Gating and experience. But how good is it to have three world class Brits?
  3. I agree he's far from past it but the Extraliga averages and GP standings suggest that there's little between the three, he's certainly not far and away the no 1 if he is at all.
  4. But he's had a spell at reserve and Kerr hasn't.....
  5. Yes fair point but the strategy would have been to put Bewley in the second GB heat so they could have done that anyway. Perhaps the strategy after heat one was to stick with the 'top' two as chosen and only use Bewley when they had to. To be fair to Lambert if he doesn't touch the tapes against Norway he probably goes unbeaten with Woffy for the rest of the meeting and there's no need for a run off but I think he will now be fortunate to be involved much on Saturday.
  6. I've been giving this a lot of thought, trying to work out why they wouldn't want to get Jakobsen in at reserve, the only thing I can possibly think of is that they think he can handle himself in the top five and that the combination of that and Kerr at reserve would score more than Jakobsen at reserve and Jorgensen in the top five? Don't necessarily agree myself but it all I can think of. Unless of course its a political decision.
  7. Awful meeting, aqdul track. GB looked all at sea early on. Thought Lambert was unlucky with the tapes exclusion as the Norwegian twitched on his inside but he never made a gate all night and ought to start at 3 on Saturday. Hopefully they will find some dirt by then! Putting to one side who scored what I'm surprised GB didn't swap round each heat to give them all four rides as an audition for Saturday, thought thats what they'd do.
  8. That's the consequence of the Polish rules unfortunately, anyone any good rides over there and has to abide by them, we are fortunate that we had Iversen for as long as we did. Hopefully they change next year.
  9. I've seen it once, at Lynn in 2009, Ryan Fisher. Took Ostergaard very wide but it was a very harsh exclusion, one might say his reputation went before him
  10. Not really jobs for the boys as they are both 'boys' and it's a toss up who's been most disappointing this year but Jakobsen at reserve seems a no brainer. Unless of course Adrian Flux has a say.
  11. Jakobsen the one who wiped out Palm Toft in 2018? Where does he ride now? EDIT just seen, Grudziadz
  12. Don't necessarily agree with that, I think their hands have been tied by foreign commitments for those coming in, no point in using anyone over here already as it wouldn't be an improvement. The mistake was keeping both Kerr and Jorgensen in the team for this year and going with Kildemand when he is only ever one ride away from breaking bones. Changes now won't secure 4th but will keep people interested (ie no R/R or guests) and lay some foundations for 2023.
  13. Overrated by who? He's what he's always been, a decent second division heat leader and a reasonable top flight rider. Not sure anyone expects anything different. 41 points is a lot more than I expected, we are one change away from being a half decent side but it's all academic now for this season.
  14. Probably won't happen in July would be my guess.
  15. Thanks for that....essentially this chap is arguing that GB 'haven't yet decided' who their reserve will be even though Bewley is at #3, I think the rulebook makes it pretty clear.
  16. @racers and royals just to clear up a difference of opinion on Facebook, are the number 3's in the official team declarations the reserves?
  17. Oh I don't know, I bet he's done a fair few guest bookings this year! Seems to be riding every time I look at updates
  18. Another promoter not interested in listening to the concerns of the sports customers.
