GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE

He should win heat 13 but heat 19 looks very tough. Pity the gates aren't a bit more even. -

I'm not bothered as I literally watch the races and take no notice of the in between bits but the presentation lacks an awful lot of polish. Looks rather amateur. -

I can remember when and why it was changed and it was a load of guff IMO, removed the jeopardy of the away side 'stealing' a point from the home team if they got within 6 points of them. -
You are right but this must have been thought about and agreed in the first place!

Aggregate BP making a return from 2023?

Personally I think the scoring system is one of the few things our governing body has got right in recent years, I really like it although they spoiled it slightly by giving home teams three points for any win. I can see the appeal of the BP system but think the 3-2-1-0-1-2-3-4 is (was) better. -
I think we can safely say its not Alex Brady that Lewis Kerr had a problem with as they were pictured together over the weekend at Oxford/Cardiff.
-
I liked the idea of a one off 'Cup Final' at a neutral venue personally. More concerning though is that they can make a decision in the winter then change their minds in the summer as some see fit. Not really befitting of a professional sport.

If Drew Kemp does a Jason Doyle I'll be absolutely delighted......just don't see it though. -

You are right, but unfortunately I just don't think he's very good, which is a shame as at 16 he looked like he might be something special. -

R/R for Riss = a hiding -
Which had nothing to do with the circuit itself.

But even Bewley and Holder couldnt make an impression when behind after the first half a lap. You could well be right that the bikes and the way people ride nowadays are to blame but I just feel that Cardiff has run its course now, we have arguably the best track in the world albeit with a limited capacity in Manchester and enough good racetracks in the world to do away with Cardiff, Prague, Teterow etc and have much better racing across the series.
-
Big difference between being a 'miserable git' and calling it as you see it. I think the majority of people criticise out of disappointment because they desperately want it to be good.
-
Good for you (genuinely) I expect it was better being there than watching it on telly. Just didn't come across well at home.
-
Well done Master Bewley! He has just the right temperament for the GPs, laid back and feet on the ground. Makes you wonder if he realises how good he is.
-
What you say is right generally speaking but I've not seen too much on this thread tonight which hasn't been justified, this is supposed to be our feature event and its dreadful.

You tell him Mikkel

Doyle to go for me.

He's not though, he's had fresh air from the second turn in both rides. Hopefully five more however!
-
I'm not normally one for slagging a meeting off early on but this is dire, riders getting more and more strung out.

I very much think its linked to age and experience personally, there will be the odd younger rider who can do (Darcy at 16) it but generally it's the far more experienced riders who excel.
