Poole always find a way to win and peak come Play Off time so I wouldn't ever write them off. Incidentally when I said they are the team to watch I literally meant WATCH....they are going to be so entertaining and put bums on seats when they ride away.

It's a big ask for him but I think he'll do really well at the NSS, he's a big track rider with lots of speed and knows the track through the Colts. Surprised they didn't use Bailey but Mulford is shrewd. I think the Jack Smith comparison is flimsy, there was 0.15 between them and Smith has been knocking around the NL for nine seasons, he should be averaging what he does. In terms of potential they are chalk and cheese.

Lidsey will stick at least a point on his average, he is a great signing on his 2019 figure. There's an opportunity for he, Brennan & Blodorn to slug it out for third heat leader and whichever of them is at reserve through the season will be strong.

Lynn won't but Sheffield have looked the best on paper for the last two years and not managed to win a title yet. BV look full of improvement to me and have every chance of retaining.

But the only league they all rode in regularly so the only way to compare them properly somebody made a good point earlier in the thread about Ablitt overtaking the likes of Coles, Stoneman and possibly Atkins over the course of the season as he is young and will improve whereas they've been around a while. Certainly hope he gets a spot in the Champs, and of course rides in Poland will do him the world of good.

I take it you don't follow the NL much? BV Colts marmalise everyone at home.

Killeen still an unknown quantity but the others have better NL averages.

Not sure I'd agree with that, I'd personally put him behind Coles, Stoneman, Pijper, Atkins and Mulford. Jury out on Killeen. What I would say is that IF Roynon and Newman are Poole's reserves as suggested that is quite shrewd, they are experienced riders who should have the beating of many reserves in the league. Once it was decided to release King and go more solid Ablitt was highly unlikely to return, hopefully he will get a ride elsewhere.

Good luck to Jack, he looked very promising last seaaon before breaking his wrists. Can imagine it was a tough choice for Lynn between he and Jason Edwards.

Mulford averaged a point more than Ablitt in the NL last year and actually turned up at Armadale for their most important meting.

The selection is based on averages in both leagues and Brennan has exceeded the threshold, plus I don't think he needs the protection of the RS scheme any more anyway.

Well it would be essentially Riss for Summers, Rew for Starke and potentially Thomas for Rowe....across a whole season I'd say all three are upgrades but Batch is so flaky and it feels like King needs a change so it lacks a bit of freshening up. Of course you'd like a good second heat leader but finances and points due to Doyle probably prevent it.

At times over the last two or three seasons Jorgensen has been the only Lynn rider worth watching at home, he is exciting and rides Lynn well, and to be fair his away form improved too in 2022. This time last year I'd have agreed with you but for me he gets in on merit for next season. Cares about the club too which goes a long way.
