Belle Vue v Kings Lynn Euroflop 11 July
Bagpuss replied to secsy1's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Howarth didn't ride at Glasgow in Saturday due to Covid so is presumably still unavailable. I'm not usually one for doing down my teams chances but we are in for a clattering tonight I fear. -

Panthers riding Monday. -
He's definitely got at least one world title in him if he can gate a bit better and miost importantly be a bit more dominant on track, I feel he sometimes lacks a bit of self belief and ends up riding a bit defensively. I'd say as things stand he looks more likely (through seeing the GPs and going by Polish scores) to do it than Bewley but he has that extra development and experience in comparison. Hopefully they can both win some, depends very much who else is around when they hit their prime
-
Absolutely, I don't necessarily agree with him missing GB stuff or British Finals but if he wants to just do Extraliga and GP's and spend time with his family in between I can't begrudge him that, having become a parent four years ago and having a seasonal job myself I know that every moment with your little ones is precious at that age. I wouldn't be surprised if Lambert and Bewley are the SoN pairing (thought they might be last year before Tai fell) because I think we can all agree Woffy is well past his best now.
-
Presumably this is with regard to him trying to slow UO to get Lawson into third? Can't say I'm a fan of slowing races down like that unless it's trying to keep a team mate ahead ie team riding. Should add a bit of spice to the next Scottish derby anyway.

I thought it was quite obvious last night that BV and Wolves have very little chance of winning the thing, they looked disinterested at times.
-
First two meetings this season were on much slicker tracks and guess what.....the racing was really good. That was April though, come the warmer weather they load the track with our horrible clay/shale and water it well to keep the dust down and riders can't get near each other. Like last night. Doesn't make you want to spend £20 to get in next time really.

Erodes what little credibility is left. -
Worth pointing out that Hans scored 12 from five on his last visit.

I'll be watching as my team is racing but mainly because it's at BV where meetings are nearly always entertaining. -
As long as its a bit slicker than a couple of weeks ago!
-
Exactly, there just aren't riders available unfortunately. We'll never know how hard they have tried but nobody has come up with a plausible suggestion yet. However we can't be allowed a facility for Iversen until September or whenever, that would be farcical.
-
People think he might be back late July because that is what the club told everybody! http://kingslynn-speedway.com/news.php?extend.31208 Believe it when I see it though.
-
Riss, Cook or Howarth I'd imagine, none of who will get near what Puk might score. Kerr poor at the moment too so could be another similar scoreline to last night.
-
Nine points behind Wolves with twelve meetings (or three fifths of the fixtures) left, its certainly doable. Might need a ruthless change or two, a bit of a punt on a new face from abroad and a dodgy postponement while Puk is away but it could happen. We have three matches left against Wolves don't forget. If we can string two or three results together, get on a roll and put some pressure on them you never know.
-
While is mathematically possible there is always hope that it can happen however unlikely. Probably Wolves.
-
Incredibly frustrating. Much better than I expected helped by MPT's withdrawal but it feels like we are going to be the nearly men this year. Iversen's absence is really starting to bite now. Vert littke room for error left if we are going to squeeze into fourth. Lewis Kerr needs to pull his socks up.

3.7.2022 - Scorpions v Edinburgh plus BYC

Indeed, what a difference 24 odd hours makes. -
Holder can no longer be arsed one assumes.
-
Presumably no Jake Mulford or anyone else at number 8 for Lynn?
-
With Iversen I'd fancy us to get something but with R/R I just can't see it.
