  1. Amen to that, nasty injuries and a shame as he was going so well.
  2. My assumption was that Jack got his Polish gig through his Dad who I believe was an extremely popular rider over there.
  3. Iversen or no Iversen this will be our toughest test so farvon arguably the hardest track to visit. Would take a point.
  4. That would be my take too. The regulations could have been much clearer in their wording though to emphasise it. Not sure temporary signings would even be permitted if it wasn't the case.
  5. Interesting comments on Doyle I've never been a fan particularly but I thought as a GP rider and former World Champ he was a poor ambassador for speedway on Mobday night, he didn't do one lap of honour from what I saw, nipping back to the pits across the centre concrete every time and not even shaking Pickering's hand after their tremendous heat 9 battle. Heard a rumour too that we nearly ended up with him and Kasper rather than Pickering and Worrall this year, thank goodness for that.
  6. Kildemand has a broken leg hasn't he? Rather than refusing to ride. I suspect R/R will be permitted and that's what we'll have for the immediate future.
  7. And thats the beauty of this team, he and Lawson only scored seven between them and we still got the job done. Assuming the Kildemand spot is properly filled we should be looking to go anywhere and have a chance of winning the meeting.
  8. Yep definitely no grounds for getting carried away as we haven't faced a full strength side yet but it's a hugely encouraging start. There is still the Iversen/Kildemand situation to be clarified and Wolves home & away next week could bring us back down to earth but this team looks rock solid from top to bottom.
  9. He has been fantastic in his first three Lynn meetings both in terms of his scoring and the entertainment factor, plus he really interacts with supporters and is properly 'stoked' when he wibs races and meetings. I've been struggling to find the enthusiasm to attend Lynnuch over the last two or three seasons but he is the catalyst I've needed to get back into it. His last to first in the last great decider against Peterborough was sensational enough but he then beat Doyle three times on Monday including getting him on the line after a race long battle. A sure box office in every way and we are incredibly lucky to have him at Lynn.
  10. Or perhaps the season starts upon the commencement of the first League Cup match? That's what's not particularly clear. But I'm glad Zagar is here and I'm looking forward to seeing him.
  11. Surprised Lynn aren't giving Mulford a run out tonight especially with Thomas in action last night and tomorrow. Cam see a Witches win tonight with them determined to get off the mark and Lynn (hopefully) taking few risks.
  12. Would have done had anything been riding on it.
  13. As usual it's a rule which is far from clear and could be interpreted a dozen different ways and you can understand why some might be disgruntled by the signing. For me it's ok because Allen was declared as a temporary signing, because the league hasn't started and because Zagar enhances the product and will put more bums on seats.
  14. He used to be but recent visits have been much better including 11 in Lewi's meeting and a paid double figure score for Poole when he last rode here. He's a very different rider nowadays to the one who rode for us in 2013.
  15. This is a very good point, it's been a great start but I don't think anyone is getting carried away, we have been a bit fortunate so far. Meetings against the other three sides will give us a better idea of where this team is at.
  16. It is and that's why I said 'so far' and 'appears to be', but yes he has rekindled my enthusiasm considerably. And you are right, they need to sort the Iversen/Killer situation adequately or we will be also rans. It was refreshing for it to all be over in 90 minutes but I actually thought the track was a bit too slick and the dirt too wide too early, it could have done with more grading and watering for me. Some of the races were great as you say but several were FTG too, it seemed too easy to gate and sit out wide. Could have done with a little more down low.
  17. Based on his performances at Lynn so far Josh Pickering is the kind of rider who will make people keep coming back, pure entertainment and a rider who gets people up on their feet and excited. They don't come around very often, in terms of excitement he appears to be in the same bracket as Lee, Gustafsson, Loram, Ward Lambert and to a lesser extent Parker and Nermark in their really good seasons. He seems completely suited to the Lynn track, it's perfect for him.
  18. It's a puzzle, he looks fast enough and has a good style but just can't get out of the gate and looks tentative behind other riders. Was as fast as Worrall in heat 14 but kept hesitating into the bends which gave him no chance to pass. Josh Pickering was sensational again, his race with and pass of Doyle in heat 9 was top drawer.
  19. Witches been quickest out of the gate in pretty much every race so far, this is going to be far harder for Lynn than it needs to be by the look of it.
  20. I saw he had a pile up in his last ride. He's a walking injury unfortunately.
  21. Paid ten for Kildemand in Poland today. Also paid fifteen for Thomas at Newcastle this afternoon, well done young man.
