I think they'll finish top six comfortably enough but up against a Poole or Glasgow in the Play Offs they would get swept aside on current form.
-
Worrying signs from Leicester over the last week, they looked on paper title contenders but performing nothing like it on the road.
-
Some really encouraging signs yesterday, apart from Lewis having an off day everybody contributed considerably. We will be weaker once Iversen leaves of course whether he's replaced by Kildemand or somebody else but the way the team rode and were up for it under Brady's influence was good to see.
-
I think it must have done, there was a reasonable breeze as well as the sunshine and the water that went down had almost disappeared by the time the next heat took place. I'm not sure daytime meetings are ever the best idea, speedway ought to be an evening sport really to keep moisture in. Either that or use the slurry spreader which comes out on 4TT day
-
Absolutely acknowledge that it would have been very different with Basso there and MPT uninjured but that win was thoroughly deserved and should have been by more really but for Iversen and then Worrall suffering gremlins in point scoring positions. Lynn were far sharper out of the gate as shown by eleven heat winners, have seen much better racing at the EoES but it got a bit better towards the end with some good tussles.
-
And of course a fortunate 5-1 in the re run. In terms of the racing and keeping the track moist why change the start time from half seven to 5pm?
-
It really is dragging on even allowing for the MPT incident. Don't understand why they don't get on with things after a track grade and water, by the time the next heat is run its dusty again and the water has evaporated. We've already moved spots as there were clouds of dust on the back straight. Farcical heat 11, right decision to re run but why let it go all four laps initially? Dear me.

Yep that's what I meant, could have made it a bit clearer

I think he can replace your number 7 ie Rising Star. Should be any rider though if that's what you want to do.
-
Sponsorship must be a massive part of attracting top quality riders there, its an affluent area with lots of sponsorship opportunities.
-
R/R for a challenge match is odd. Seems unnecessary. Clean and functional toilets are a basic and should be straightforward to provide. I think we all understand that somebody has stepped in to save the club and credit to them for that but there is a balance and constructive criticism is healthy and helps mprovement. People are entitled to expect a certain level of satisfaction as customers.

Leicester v Poole Sat 16th/4/22

I think you ought to be happy with the thought of anyone over two legs, as things stand you win any play off at a canter on paper IMO. -
One of those things but very disappointing to not see Basso, was looking forward to seeing him in action (no disrespect to Slambert)
-
He was complaining last week that he didn't get selected for Gniezno (sp?) so must be fit to a degree? Not in their line up for today either. Dread to think who we'll end up with if he doesn't appear and Puk disappears.
-
No idea. I'm unsure why people think he won't come really, time will tell I guess. Hard to see who would replace him if he's not available.
-
Of course Ipswich do but in Doyle they have the leagues best rider which is a great starting point, if others click they could be decent. If PK actually comes and averages seven ish I think we'll be very competitive.
-
Poole, Glasgow, Redcar or Leicester.....the others just making up the numbers essentially.
-
Spills for Worrall and Pickering this evening, hope they are both OK for Monday.
-
Yes those last couple of spots should be keenly contested but there are going to be some massive home wins. I'd say BV once Zagar comes in, Ipswich with Doyle and Lynn with a strong reserve could all end up in the final against Sheffield if things go their way, it's very open.
-
Indeed less teams and six is too few but on paper at least the Prem looks far more competitive than the Champs thos year, big gulf between the top and bottom and you could guess four or five Play Off teams right now.

Leicester v Poole Sat 16th/4/22

I think Glasgow's team has the most potential but I just can't see anyone beating Poole over two legs injuries permitting.
