  1. I think we can all appreciate how Plymouth fans must feel about Lawson and why but I suspect any negativity he gets tonight will be water off a ducks back. Poole comfortably over two legs but Plymouth could sneak a win tonight.
  2. People always overlook this part of the rule. Surely we want PK to ride as much as possible elsewhere before NKI leaves.
  3. Gonna be close I think, will be there if the weather behaves but a few showers forecast at the moment. Worrall certainly the key man.
  4. I think Masters has to be at one. It could be argued that Worrall might benefit from the extra responsibilty of riding at five given time, you look at his Championship average and it suggests he could and perhaps should be a Premiership heat leader.
  5. And yet they are still winning at a canter. They are going to be a tough nut to crack at the EoES once again. Early season gremlins for Andersen I'm sure.
  6. Exactly this, Premiership Shield or something similar. We beat Eastbourne over two legs, they had won the League and us the Cup in 2000. Remember Puk having some his first rides over here as a number 8 in the home leg.
  7. With all the doubling up it's essential that the two leagues have completely separate race nights whichever teams come up/down. Think that's even more important than when foreign leagues race.
  8. What are the track dimensions in comparison to the circuit when it closed down?
  9. The thought had crossed my mind and while it's early days I think the league is almost in two clear halves, you can see those top five or so teams giving the lower sides proper hidings at home, the best meetings are likely to be when those top sides race each other (Poole, Glasgow, Redcar, Leicester, Oxford) or when the rest meet. Scunny, Brum, Newcastle and Edinburgh look like strugglers to me with Plymouth and Berwick slugging it out for sixth. Very early days mind.
  10. Nope don't think so, the Round the Boards one is by three chaps who are doing their first podcasts. The main guy is a Lynn fan, it's worth a listen.
  11. It's a farewell, they want as much money to go to Robbo as possible and not using card machines would remove a cost.
  12. I think and hope he'll have a breakthrough year with two new clubs, however the comment is valid based on last season ie competitive fixtures, not sure warm up meetings are an accurate barometer for any rider.
  13. I think its a rumour one of them heard. I wouldn't worry until its something to worry about, it's wasted energy until then.
  14. If you mean the Round the Boards podcast I think that was rumour/speculation concerning Kildemand. Although personally I have concerns about his shoulder seeing as he had all winter to get it sorted (presumably) and its gone after his first practice session. If he doesn't come over Lord knows who would replace he and Puk.
  15. No surprise there, self interest as per. No doubt one or two promoters got twitchy about how strong Plymouth might have ended up. Shame.
  16. We've woken to a covering of snow and hail & sleet showers this morning FFS. Enthusiasm for standing in the cold at speedway is zero at the moment but we'll see how we feel later.....
  17. We are undecided whether to travel from the nicest part of East Anglia any weather updates anybody can give tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. Very keen to come but not to burn a couple of hundred miles worth of pricey petrol on a postponement or a ploughed field racetrack. Many thanks in advance!
  18. I can remember Lewis Kerr having huge fuel problems in a televised meeting at P'boro riding for Newcastle a few yars ago, don't think he managed a lap in any of his races and he got quite a bit of grief from Pearson, Tatum and Louis. Think it turned out to be a little bit of dirt in the fuel system which could only be found after the meeting having stripped the bike down. I agree Bomber has more than his fair share of bike issues but sometimes it just happens.
